WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME FOR THIS LOVING YOUNG FEMALE LAB MIX!! Luna is a sweet, 44 lb., 1 1/2-year-old Lab mix. She has been in our care for three months since showing up on our property. We have had her vet checked and up to date on all of her shots, flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Luna is very attentive, energetic, and gets along well with other dogs. We have been working on her sit/stay skills. She has done great at the dog park, in the dog crate, on leash, eating 2x/day, riding in the car, a 3-day kennel stay, and a visit to the groomer. She loves lots of pets and snuggles! She is very affectionate! We think Luna would do really well in a home that can give her the time and attention she needs as a young, adult dog. She loves playing outside with our dog, throwing the ball or frisbee, or playing with her tug toy. . In the right home, we know she will thrive and be a loving pet.

Story
We are looking to rehome 8 month old Micah. We adopted him earlier this year and unfortunately due to recent financial struggles my husband and I have both been working two jobs each and unable to properly care for him since we just can't be home. I am also pregnant, developing new allergies to him, and the stress has been wearing on me a lot knowing he is not getting the care he needs while being overexerted at work. He is fixed and potty trained but there is just no one to take him out. He is up to date with his rabies shot. He is very sweet, energetic and playful but we just can’t give him what he needs. He has a bit too energy for my cat, who is very patient but not very good at standing up for himself during playtime. He would be great at a house with someone who can just be home more or has a yard to let him run around. He loves to snuggle and would cuddle. He plays well with other dogs. He loves to play fetch and when we can we take him to a field nearby.

Story
Please contact Adoptions (adoptions@thalppc.com) for more information about this pet. Dune is a 3 year old lab mix that weighs 60 pounds and is fully housebroken. He was surrendered to the shelter as his owner was moving into an apartment that would only allow small dogs. He was acquired as a young puppy and resided alongside of several small dogs. Dune loves food puzzles, will fetch for hours if allowed, loves toys, and has a very joyful spirit. He is 100% housebroken and has never had an accident in his kennel. is inquisitive, quirky, and darling. Here is what our one of our dog walkers has to say about Dune:Dune is a youngish (but very mature) pupper. Dogs, no matter their upbringing/lineage or from Craigslist, a backyard breeder or a shelter, will seem to be fairly confident critters, or not as confident. Dune is of the latter, so he’s my take to the solitude of the woods versus the tourist hot spots kind of dog. The wonderful thing about Dune is, he looks to you for guidance. He doesn’t want to be off leash. He doesn’t want freedom and to make his own choices…..he wants you to guide him and in return, he gives back 120% all to you.Dune is so fun to hike with because he will wait for you to navigate that rocky section of trail. He’ll stand with you and enjoy the rush of a swollen creek and he’ll look to you when something uncertain comes his way. We hit the North Chick a lot, and encounter many a dudes carrying kayaks heading to the put in. We simply scoot off the trail and watch folks go by. He doesn’t want to meet other dogs, nor does he really want to meet other people when he’s out with his person…..which is ok. Not all dogs do, and we shouldn’t force them to greet everyone. As hard as it is for me to say this, I’ve learned that I also don’t need to greet every dog I meet when I’m out and about. Most dogs would rather you not!!In conclusion, Dune is a fantastic pal who’s just a tad introverted. He’s not your dog park, bar/outside dining, walnut st bridge pup so if you are seeking an incredible and special bond with a pet, consider Dune.He loves small dogs but will require a meet and greet with dogs his size as he had no prior exposure to dogs larger than yorkies and chihuahuas. He would not be ideal for a home with cats as he will chase them. The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter. We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but doing adoptions and meet & greets by appointment only.  If you are seriously interested in adopting please fill our our online application here: https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq Check out our website at https://www.petplacementcenter.com/    February 10, 2025, 8:52 am

Story
Max has been with us since he was a puppy 2 1/2 years ago. He has really come out of his shell in the last 6 months. He doesn&#39t get seen a lot because he is cautious of new people. Once he knows you, he is a sweet boy who always looks so happy. He loves getting his chest and neck rubbed. He gets along with all of the other dogs and is not the dominant one. He has lived here at the shelter his whole life and deserves to have a home.November 25, 2025, 11:39 am
