Jack has come a long way from the 44-pound, frail dog we first met. After years of neglect in an outdoor enclosure, he has worked hard to regain his strength and weight, and at a healthy 60 pounds, he is ready to find a couch to call his own. Jack is a total sweetheart who wins over everyone he meets. Despite a bone spur in his upper spine that requires some simple pain management, he remains happy and mobile. Like his partner, Willow, he is perfectly content lounging the day away and enjoying the simple luxuries of indoor life. He is excellent with other dogs and ignores cats, making him an easy addition to a multi-pet household-as long as Willow is by his side. Jack is currently navigating his heartworm treatment with a brave spirit and is eager to spend the rest of his years being pampered and loved. 📍Jack and Willow are currently being fostered near Chattanooga, Tennessee, but we are open to out-of-state adoptions with approved applications. Bambu came to us as an owner surrender when his previous owner was no longer able to keep him due to housing restrictions. Despite the changes in his life, Bambu has remained a very sweet and steady boy. He’s happy to be by your side and join you for whatever the day brings, but he’s just as content relaxing on his own. Bambu can be selective with other dogs and would likely thrive as the only pet in his forever home, where he can enjoy all the love and attention for himself. Though he's selective about his doggie friends, he LOVES all people! Happy to be by your side, whether he's playing or relaxing, he's up for anything you are. We think he would do well in a home with school-aged children and older. As a student of our Training Team, Bambu is learning leash manners, impulse control and basic obedience. He's come a long way and we know he’ll benefit from continued guidance and consistent training. We are happy to show you all he's learned so far, and how to continue to improve on his solid foundation, going forward! Bambu is ready to begin his next chapter with a family who will provide him with the stability, guidance, and love he truly deserves.

Nessie and her siblings had a rough start in life, but at HES they have started to learn how to be confident, playful, and brave. Nessie is still on the shy side when it comes to human interaction, but she is also a gentle girl who loves the finer things and has wonderful manners with humans and dogs alike. Nessie really thrives in the company of other dogs, and playgroup is where she comes alive. She would likely do best in a home with a canine companion or two (you might even consider adopting her along with her sister Pawnie or brothers Scoobs and Franklin!). While young kiddos might be a bit too overwhelming for this gal while she learns about the big world around her, teens would be fine. We just know that once she gets into a home, Nessie will blossom into a loving and affectionate companion! Hi there… I’m Gabby Sue  Please help me find my forever home.... I need my forever. A 55 lb spayed liver/white/roan Brittany/GSP/Mix girl with a whole lot of love to give I’m what you’d call the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. I’ll have my little bursts of energy (because, well… zoomies are important ), and then I’m right back by your side, ready to snuggle up and be your couch buddy. Honestly… I’d be perfectly happy being your full-time cuddle companion. I really love my people… like, “I’d rather be right under you than pose for pictures” kind of love Because I love so big, I’d do best as your one and only pup—so I can soak up all the attention and give it right back to you tenfold. I’ll also need a physical fenced yard so I can safely enjoy my outdoor time and little bursts of fun. My story almost didn’t have a happy ending… I was scheduled for euthanasia, my babies were taken away, and I was so scared and crying But kind people stepped in just in time—and now I’m safe, loved, and ready for my real forever home. I’m healthy, heartworm & tick negative, and on prevention—just waiting for someone to choose me.
