Story

I purchased him from a seller out of the TJ Maxx parking lot. He was 3 months old when I acquired him. He’s a super loving dog that loves attention and affection. He’s 10 months old now, and has lots of energy. He follows basic commands like “sit, down, stay, wait, and ok go.” He’s really good with kids. I have 4 kids from 3-14 and have not had any issues. He does jump when he gets excited sometimes. Haven’t been able to break that habit fully. He’s crate trained and semi-house trained. He’s great with other dogs, he just gets excited at first. He loves to be surrounded by the family or in other words “the pack.” I would love for him to go to a home where he will receive the proper care and attention. I hate to see him go but it would be selfish of me to keep him due to my busy and demanding schedule. He deserves somewhere he can be loved and have more freedom.

Story

Looking for a responsible, experienced forever home for Mac. Mac is about 10 months old. He’s an energetic, athletic mix (Lab + cattle dog). Expect a dog that needs daily exercise, mental work, and consistent training — not a couch potato. Mac is up to date of all shots and has paperwork. We got Mac from the Boise Humane Society. We are rehoming him because my wife is pregnant. We will not be able to give him the time, energy, and attention he needs once the baby arrives. This is not a behavioral or health issue; it’s a family-capacity issue. We want him in a home that can actually meet his needs. What we need from you • Experience with high-energy or working-breed mixes preferred • Secure fencing and a plan for daily exercise • Willingness to continue training • Honest communication about your living situation and experience

Zeus

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Labrador Retriever

Eagle, ID

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Details

Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Zeus is a loving dog without a mean bone in his body. He came to me in an opportunity when a friend broke up with his gf whose family got Zeus and his brother as babies from a litter. They crated him all day when both went to work and he had no quality of life. For 3 years I’ve given him stability and love but not as much fun as he deserves with a solo working and travel schedule I’ve developed and would like to increase, as much as he means to me. He is potty trained well and listens pretty good when commanded but can have separation anxiety, which must be hard because I live alone. He’ll bark at only the doorbell to feel like a tough guy but is otherwise very quiet. Has a quirk with hardwood where he thinks random areas are lava and doesn’t like to go by them, funny but makes no sense. Plays well with other dogs and would love to be around others as much as possible, my lifestyle just doesn’t award him that.

Story

Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. With love and consistency, he will be a loyal and loving companion. To apply directly for King, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-751
