HI - I'M MACY! I'm a sweet and happy 6-year-old chocolate-and-white Labrador-Pit, mix, possibly with some Aussie thrown in. I have been waiting for two years for a home and am wondering why nobody wants me? I was rescued from a high-kill shelter where I had kennel mates! Now that I'm out, I like some dogs better than others, but would do best either as an only dog or possibly with a friendly male. I'm still very active, and so would love to be with a person or people who go for walks, hikes or other outings. I love the water and car rides and am a happy girl. I weigh about 50 lbs. MEET HOLT! Holt is a 2-1/2-year-old Black Lab mix in need of a foster or forever home. He is a good, happy boy who is full of life, and still a puppy at heart. He is dog friendly, people friendly and affectionate! He is loyal, gentle and smart! While he loves companionship, he also can be independent and can chill while you're working. Holt would do great with an active person or people as he's quite athletic and will benefit from regular exercise, like walks, hikes or runs. He pulls a bit on a leash but is easily corrected. He would do well with another dog in the home or as an only dog. He is a sweet boy, and weighs about 60-65 lbs. Holt is currently in California, but can be transported to Idaho. I was rescued from a crowded California in the nick of time, where I was kenneled with other dogs. I'm great with dogs and a lovebug with people. I'm still a bit of a puppy and am learning the basic ropes, but I'm a smart girl and a fast learner! I would love a wonderful home where I can be loved and taken for walks, hikes and other outings. I'd do best in a home with an active single person, a couple or a family with older kids (over 8). I'm currently in California but can be transported to you soon in Idaho. Story
Franco is a black lab mix that was rescued around 1 years old. He has been in the same home for the past 10 years. He enjoys dog parks, walks, hikes, being outside, but also can be lazy and snuggle all day long. Toys are his favorite. He loves to fetch balls, Play tug of war, and chew on his stuffies. Franco is loving, and cuddly, He rarely barks usually only when he sees squirrels. His ideal home is a childless one, where he would get lots of attention and snuggles. Franco is house trained, he does not have accidents in the home. He will also follow simple commands like sit, stay, paws up, lay, spin, etc... We had a baby 2 years ago and have realized that Franco is not comfortable around small children, He has snipped at 3 kids, and recently made contact with our daughter leaving a scratch on her. He has never shown signs of aggression to adults or other animals. We believe he is feeling anxious, and don’t trust him around our 19 month old anymore and need to rehome him ASAP.
