Story
MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle lab/pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 5 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home. Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M JOHNNY, a 10-year-old lab mix waiting for a foster or forever home. Do you need a best friend? Because I'm looking for one! My ideal adopter is a single person who wants a companion, a pal for hanging out, walks, hikes, watching TV, car rides, napping. I love to play fetch, and I listen to basic commands. I tend to bond to one person who will be my soulmate. I love scratches and affection! I get bored if left alone too long, so best not to leave me out in the backyard for hours. I get along with some dogs, but I really want to be the top dog in the home with one person by my side. I'm still in great health and I'm basically looking for my forever pal to go for walks, hikes or simply watch TV. I weigh about 70 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email me for an application.

Story
Marley came to live with me almost 4 years ago. A friend of mine could no longer keep him so I took him in. He was 6 years old at the time and will be 10 years old this July. We went for walks and played in the backyard and he became a great part of my family. At this time I realized he had problems with his eyes. He was going blind. He is now totally blind but I help to lead him outside and back inside by calling to him so he can follow my voice. It hasn’t stopped him from wanting lots of love! Last year the arthritis in my knees became so severe I could barely walk. I tried regenerated therapy but it failed. I could no longer walk Marley or play with him anymore. He does pull on the leash and I tried to walk him but it was very painful for me. He is a big boy ( a bit overweight) and is very loving. We have 8 cats in the house and he has never hurt any of them. Two of the cats play with him! He needs a new family that can give him the care I can longer give him.
