Meet Bogart! Bogart is a male, 2 year old, German Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog and Labrador Retriever blend. He is 46 pounds.Bogart is participating in our Adopt From Home program. Here is what his owner has to say about him, "We adopted Bogart from West Valley Humane Society Feb 2022, when he was 3 months old. He is turning 2 years this November and is still as playful as a puppy. I adopted him a week before I found out I was pregnant. He has been ok with our baby so far, but he is anxious around other kids, like the cousins when they visit, and jumps on them and scares them. He is very affectionate toward us. He gets along well with our other dog who is a little larger and more docile. He gets very reactive when meeting other dogs in public. He has a lot of energy and would love to run around and play with other dogs if he was better socialized and trained. He needs more walks and attention than we can give him at this point in our lives."Bogart will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important.
