Story
Ramsey is an 8 year old Australian shepherd/lab mix. He’s a fun loving high energy boy who loves to play catch and go for walks. He’s good with small breed dogs and needs time to warm up to other dogs in the home. Does not do well with passing dogs while out walking. He grew up with 2 kids who he loves dearly. He is a very loyal dog and loves his cuddles. We are sad to let him go but he isn’t allowed in our rental home. He will be missed dearly. We have had him since 12 weeks old.

Story
Looking for a good home to a beautiful spayed Lab/pit mix. She’s a sweet, high energy 2 year old pup. She is family friendly, has limited exposure to other dogs. Pepper is very intelligent and trainable. She’s a sweet, sweet girl that loves to play. We are moving to another state and unfortunately we can’t bring her along with us where we are going. But before leaving we would love for her to go to a good home.

Story
Pearl is the sweetest girl! We have had Pearl since she was born. We have her mother, River, who unexpectedly got pregnant by our neighbors dog. Pearl was born on October 11, 2025 along with her other 7 siblings. Pearl is one of 3 girls and 4 boys. We always knew we were going to keep one of the 8 puppies, but ended up keeping two because it was too hard to let one of them go. Now, 9 months later, we are realizing that keeping two of the puppies is just too much with our schedules. Out of the two puppies we kept, Pearl is the one who needs the most attention. Pearl loves to love and doesn’t know a stranger. She is so sweet and loving, however, she needs to be in a home with someone who can actively give her the attention and love she deserves. She is house trained and crate trained, however, she enjoys lots of outside time and cuddles. She is great with other dogs and kids. It makes me so sad to put her up for adoption, but I know it’s what’s best for Pearl in the long run.

Story
Looking for a dog who thinks “alone time” is deeply offensive? Great news!! Sailor is available. Sailor is a 1-year-old lab mix who is calm, sweet, good with dogs of all sizes, good with cats, and happiest when attached directly to her person at all times. She carries toys around the house, leans against you like a weighted blanket, and follows you from room to room like a little security guard. The catch? Separation anxiety. Sailor can peacefully hang out with you all day without making a sound. But the second you leave, she acts like you’ve been drafted into war and may never return. She gets stressed, barks, and may have accidents despite being nearly potty trained. She is currently on trazodone and doing better, but she needs someone patient who understands anxiety and is willing to help her work through it. Honestly, Sailor would make an incredible emotional support dog… while also needing emotional support herself. It’s a very codependent situation, but she brings a lot of love to the table. Sailor is hoping to find someone who will see just how wonderful she is despite her struggles and give her the chance she deserves. ------------------------ ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Story
If interested in Nico, apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog At just 8 months old and 26 pounds, Nico is the perfect mix of playful puppy and affectionate best friend. He can be a little cautious when meeting new people and situations, but give him some time to settle in and you'll discover a total cuddle bug who loves being close to his people. Nico is doing great in his foster home. He's potty trained, leash trained, and making progress with crate training. He's very food motivated, which makes training easier, and he's eager to learn. He loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend to play with. Nico is an energetic young dog who enjoys wrestling and playing, but he takes corrections well and is learning good manners. When he's not playing, Nico is happy to curl up for snuggles and soak up attention. His short coat is easy to care for, and his adorable floppy ears and sweet face make him impossible to resist. Nico would thrive with a family that understands young dogs need patience, structure, and continued training as they grow. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who is ready to be your new best friend. Nico is being fostered in Perry Hall, MD. PLEASE READ: Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Please be ready to train ANY dog you adopt! Also, please understand we can not guarantee breed or full grown size of any young dog or puppy. Thank you for understanding

Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. July 13, 2026, 7:15 pm
