This is LUNA 🐕 Luna is searching for a loving, stable forever home where she'll be prioritized loved 🏠 She is a two and a half year old medium sized mixed breed our family adopted almost two years ago. Luna is a loving puppy full of energy that needs more attention and patience then we have been able to give her. She has been spayed and all of her shots are up to date, vet records will be provided. Positives: she is good with kids and other dogs, great snuggler, treat/food motivated, high energy and loves to play. She yearns for companionship and will follow you everywhere around the house. Challenges: She has improved since we've had her but could use some more leash training. Only serious inquires, please 💖

Story
We rescued Diana as a puppy 9 years ago. She’s a snuggle bug, missing a few teeth, and will have to have a few more pulled as she gets older. She became a cyborg with a metal bone in her left hind leg. Diana does not let that stop her from romping around in the snow or chewing every one of her toys into pieces. Of course, she loves those destroyed toys and picks her favorites out of the trash if anyone tries to throw them out. She is food motivated, especially peanut butter and any stray dropped food. Her training includes sit, down, place, den, leave-it, wait and her favorite “free” cue. Diana takes prescription medication mostly for separation anxiety. She attaches quickly to family and friends. She is territorial and anxious around new people and dogs, but falls wildly for anyone she is familiar with.

Story
Sarge is a happy, "well-tempered" boy who is looking for a family that can keep up with his puppy energy! Originally from a reputable breeder in Virginia, he has been raised with love and is a social butterfly. Personality & Traits: Kid-Friendly: He absolutely loves children and is a great family companion. Social: Gets along well with other animals. Active: He is a young Lab, which means he has plenty of energy for fetch, long walks, or hiking. Reason for Rehoming: Our family has recently started a new job schedule, and we simply don't have the time Sarge deserves to keep him active and engaged. He is a wonderful dog who just needs more "run time" and attention than we can currently provide. Ideal Home: Sarge would thrive with an active individual or a family with a yard who can give him the exercise and mental stimulation a young Retriever needs. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly, and healthy companion to join your adventures, Sarge is your guy!

Story
Meet Bebe! She’s proof positive that you’re never too old to begin a new chapter. This darling girl finds herself looking for a new home because her owner is terminally ill and closest family members are allergic. At 12-13 years old and very overweight, this poses a bit of a challenge. But here's the good news, our Bebe is full of light and love and ENERGY. So we're looking at her current situation like a caterpillar in a cocoon just waiting to come out and fly. Her theme song is Patti LaBelle’s “New Attitude.” (We hope that doesn’t date us.) Currently she's a 40lb dog stuck inside a 50lb body and she's eager to shed the excess weight and start this next phase of her life. She has Cushings disease and will need to continue her medication to control it. Bebe has good house manners and has left most things alone. She plays with toys if you'll play with her and lives for belly rubs. She knows basic commands but can also be a little headstrong. She LOVES her walks or even just time meandering around the backyard. As the weight is falling off, she’s also starting zooms around the house and lots of play time. She’s definitely feeling herself! She is 99% house trained but has had a few accidents from stress. She wants to know where you are in the house and if she can't find you, she may stress pee. This has been mitigated by talking to her from wherever I am. She is also crate trained. She does well with most other dogs so far. She’s generally fine with them until they gruff at her. She’s a bit alpha in her play so would recommend pairing her with a more submissive dog. I’m excited to get to know her more and for you to join us on this journey. We'll be highlighting her weight loss journey along the way, which will be great for us both! Bebe's stats: Weight: 57lb, working her way down to 40 Age: 12-13 years Good with kids: Yes Good with other dogs: Some Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard required: No OK for townhouse or apartment: Yes House trained: Mostly Crate trained: Yes Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down. Chews inappropriate items: No Training: Knows sit and come. Needs more work but waiting to lose weight before training. Highly treat motivated. Activity Level: Low Needs experienced adopter: Not necessarily. Should be willing to learn about her medications. If you are interested in Bebe, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page (http://www.pgspca.org/adopt/adoption-show-attendees/) to see if Bebe will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.
