Story
Meet Rushmore! The sweetest and cuddliest boy ever. Rushmore has been in my care for about a month now. My friend had to unfortunately surrender her him and i got him so he would not be put down. However, we believe all the trauma has made him not get along with my dogs and wants just my attention and has made things difficult. Rushmore would do best in a house with a female who doesn't mind that Rush will follow her EVERYWHERE, he will def be a shadow. he has separation anxiety is afraid of men. Rush would do best in a childfree home or at least older kids. Cats would be okay, but i think right now being the only dog is what is best. It breaks my heart i cannot keep him because he really is the goodest and sweetest boy! He is a fantastic walker and loves car rides!

Story
We adopted Rosie when she was only 9 weeks old. She has lived with our family that consisted of two kids and two cats and most recently this year a newborn baby. She has always been friendly and kind with the children and curious and kind to the cats. With our kids becoming more involved with sports these days and the new baby our schedules have become too busy to allow Rosie the attention she really deserves. We hope to find her a loving new home with a family who can appreciate all the love she has to offer.

Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in New Castle, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 20, 2026, 9:57 pm

Story
Meet Handsome Dan Dan’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!  Spunky. Sweet. Adorable. Full of love. And still waiting for his family. Handsome Dan is an almost 2-year-old cuddle-loving boy who has spent 1.5 years in rescue—far too long for a dog with so much love to give. Despite the wait, Dan hasn’t lost his joyful spirit or his belief that his people are out there. Dan is crate trained, potty trained, and absolutely loves meeting new people and pups. He’s the first to greet visitors at his foster home and wants to say hello to everyone he meets on walks. He’s learning polite leash manners (making friends is just so exciting!), and he continues to improve every day. Dan adores other dogs and plays with his whole heart. Because of his happy, high-energy play style, he’d do best with:  • a dog who can match his energy, or  • a home where he can be your one-and-only He’s also done wonderfully with his foster’s young puppies and, when playtime is over, turns into the ultimate snuggle bug—lounging, cuddling, and soaking up affection. Dan loves: Playing in a fenced yard Going for walks Car rides and errands with his humans He’d thrive with an adopter who enjoys being active and spending time together. Because young children can be overstimulating, we think a home with kids ages 10 and up would be the best fit. &#226&#156&#168 Dan truly deserves the best. He’s a rescue favorite who has blossomed so much over the past year, and now all that’s missing is a family to call his own. Dan is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee has been fully sponsored by a generous donor in honor of her Fairy Tail Rescue pup’s second birthday If you think this handsome, smart, cuddly boy could be your perfect sidekick, please complete the adoption application below. Let’s finally get Dan home. Application link: https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-application  January 27, 2026, 2:48 pm
