Meet Velma, a 6 year old 55 pound petite Lab mix with a heart as big as her smile! This sweet girl is potty trained, enjoys all the treats, and loves lounging on the couch just as much as she loves her daily walks. She’s done great living with other large dogs and has shown patience and adaptability once given time to settle in. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who enjoys snuggles and strolls, Velma might be your perfect match!   Age: 6 Breed: Lab Mix Weight: 56 lbs Kid-friendly: Recommend older considerate children Dogs: Yes Cats: Recommend a home without cats, as she loves to chase them. Story
Bandit is a 10-year-old, 68 lb Lab mix with the heart and humor of a 7th-grade boy — goofy, loving, and learning every day. He’s loyal to his circle and eager to find his forever family who’ll include him in all their adventures. Bandit thrives on activity — running next to an ATV, swimming, or playing fetch are his absolute favorites — and after a good workout, he’s the happiest, most relaxed boy around. He’s great with other dogs (he currently lives with two seniors), does well with kids, and loves meeting new people. Potty trained and kennel trained, Bandit does fine in the house for several hours and sleeps soundly in his own bed at night. If you’re looking for a loyal, joyful, active companion who’ll make you laugh and love you endlessly, Bandit’s your guy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Pepper is a sweet little girl who is smart, playful, and curious. At just 10 weeks, Pepper is doing so well with crate training and potty training. She is figuring out that she needs to go to the door to tell her humans when it’s potty time, to sit when it’s treat time, and that the kennel means it’s sleepy time. Pepper loves to play in the snow and is learning to fetch. Kids are her favorite humans. She has lots of kisses for them and loves to snuggle up with them when it’s nap time. Pepper is curious but cautious with strange people and dogs but warms up to them quickly. Pepper’s ears are conspicuously adorable and she can aim them just about any direction she wants to without moving her head. When you come home, Pepper’s so happy to see you that she can’t keep her little body from wiggling. No matter how busy she is, Pepper will stop and stand still for belly rubs and butt scratches. Pepper is from a local reservation. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Peach, and I’m starting to settle in after spending a week with my foster family. I’m still a bit nervous when I meet new people—especially men—so I need some time to feel comfortable and safe with new faces. I might bark or growl at first, but I haven’t shown any aggression. I don’t like being left alone, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal for me. I’m not a fan of the crate and tend to panic a bit when closed in. I’ve also been known to do a little “counter surfing” and believe that finders are keepers, so for everyone’s sake, it’s best to keep tempting things out of reach! I go for three to four walks every day to practice my leash manners and build my confidence around new people. That’s helped a lot—and I haven’t had any potty issues in the house! I really enjoy the company of the resident dog here. He’s teaching me to trust people, sit for treats, walk nicely on a leash, and be part of a family. We play together, which helps burn off my bursts of puppy energy—even though I’m almost three years old! When he’s not in the mood to play, I can happily entertain myself with a toy. Tennis balls are the best! Shared walls aren’t ideal for me — I tend to bark when I hear unfamiliar or unexpected noises. At night, my favorite place to sleep is near my humans—definitely in the same room, but ideally right next to you in bed. Once I feel safe and snuggled in, I’ll curl up close and snore softly beside you. Peach was found as a stray. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Dottie! Now 1 year old, Dottie is blossoming into a more confident, joyful girl every day—and her love for people is truly her standout trait. She absolutely adores humans and thrives in a home with lots of love and interaction. With people coming and going, she’s happiest making the rounds for pets and kisses. A big crowd arriving all at once can be a little overwhelming at first, but give her a moment and she’ll be right there, making sure no one is missed. Dottie is a total Velcro dog who wants to be as close to her person as physically possible. She loves to snuggle and is an excellent cuddle buddy—she sleeps soundly through the night, doesn’t toss or turn, and knows exactly how to settle in. While she does well in a kennel, she would truly thrive in a home where she can sleep near you or even share the bed. She enjoys spending time outdoors sniffing all the exciting smells, collecting sticks, and going for walks. She walks nicely on leash, though her curious nose can sometimes lead the way. At home, she loves chewing on bones, hard toys, squeaky toys, and yes—cardboard, which she finds especially fun to shred. After playtime, she’s happiest curled up with a soft blanket and her favorite human. With other dogs, Dottie needs very slow, proper introductions and some time to feel comfortable. Once she settles in, she can play well and coexist nicely. Her profile notes that she would do best in a cat-free home, but in her one real-life interaction with a cat, she actually did very well—arguably better than she does with dogs. With slow, thoughtful introductions, living with a cat may be a possibility. Dottie is both potty trained and kennel trained, but she’s still working on independence and manners. She’s a smart girl who would benefit greatly from continued obedience training and gentle guidance. Overall, she has all the potential to be an absolutely incredible dog—she just needs a bit of hand-holding, structure, and patience as she continues to figure things out. In return, you’ll get an endlessly loving, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Dottie is from an Owner Surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fred is Wilma’s brother and an equally sweet, affectionate puppy with a calm yet thoughtful nature. He absolutely loves people of all ages—kids included—and is happiest when he’s near his humans, soaking up attention and affection. Fred is very people-focused and motivated by praise rather than food; he truly wants to please and seeks human approval above all else. Here’s a sweet video of Fred. He’s been raised around other animals and does wonderfully with them. Fred currently lives with four cats and adores them all, eagerly trying to play and befriend them. Because he’s still a puppy and unaware of his size and strength, his enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much—but his intentions are purely playful, never aggressive. With guidance and structure, he’ll continue learning appropriate boundaries. Fred is a smart boy with a natural protective instinct. He’ll patrol the yard and bark if someone approaches, but once they get closer, he tends to back away with a little hesitation, showing more uncertainty than guarding behavior. He listens well and is already picking up basic commands, especially when encouraged with affection and positive attention. This handsome pup loves toys—especially stuffed toys and small squeaky ones. One of his cutest traits is howling while he chews on squeakers, clearly enjoying every second. He has a nice balance of energy: playful and energetic at times, then calm and relaxed at others. During his higher-energy moments, he really shines with interaction, training, or a “job” to do. He enjoys learning and thrives with consistent engagement. Without an outlet, he can get extra playful with the cats, so enrichment and routine will be key for his continued success. Fred does great in a fenced yard and shows no interest in digging or escaping. He’s been around chickens, barn cats, and baby goats and doesn’t show much of a prey drive, making him a promising candidate for homes with other animals or even a farm-style environment. He rides well in the car, doesn’t get carsick, and loves classic puppy activities like kisses, gentle wrestling, and exploring with his people close by. Found abandoned at the end of a long dirt road in rural Texas, Fred has proven to be resilient, trusting, and deeply loyal. Because he’s been raised in outdoor kennels, he’ll need an adopter ready to help him learn indoor living basics, routines, and continued training. With patience, structure, and love, Fred has all the tools to grow into an incredible companion. Overall, Fred is intelligent, loyal, playful, calm, and incredibly sweet—a really good dog with so much potential. He’d be a wonderful match for an active home, adopters who enjoy training and interaction, or anyone ready to guide a young puppy into a confident, loving family member.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
