Location: Ivanhoe, MN Hello everyone, meet CLYDE! This handsome guy is the perfect gentleman! He is potty trained and kennel trained. He has only spent time in a large 10 x 10 kennel, so I don’t know he would be in a smaller kennel. He loves his toys and can usually be found chewing his benebone. He seems to like all the dogs he meets, however, he doesn’t like to share his toys. Although he loves his doggie friends, he really likes to spend time with his people. Running and retrieving the ball in a fenced yard is ideal. He does get the zoomies! He walks great on a leash and can hardly contain himself when he knows it’s time to go! He does get very excited if he sees others on his walk, so we are working on manners. He has seen cats and is a bit apprehensive at first, but then is curious about what they do. He gets along with the resident cat. In his previous home he had trouble with younger kids, so respectful kids 12 and up is best for him. He has had some training. He knows sit, down, off, stay (although that one is tough to do at times!). He will gladly trade kisses for butt scratches any chance he gets. Clyde is an all around great guy! If you want an exercise buddy and couch cuddler he is your man. Story
Oreo was found on the streets of Detroit by my spouse co-worker. They took him in, but could not keep him long term. We met up with them in OH to transfer ownership and bring him home in Dec of 2024. We had no history for him and are unsure of breed other than black lab mix. He was just about 7 months old at that time. He is a sweet dog who was very nervous at first but learns new tricks easily (very treat motivated). We still use a slow bowl because he inhales every meal, but he loves to cuddle, play and jump. He got away from us in September and was hit by a truck which broke his jaw. We got that fixed and he healed up so well even the vet was surprised. We love him, but he does not like cats so our rescue cat pretty much just comes into the house for food now. He is great with our kids aged 9-13, he loves to play. They play chase games and fetch. He loves to play tug-o-war. We would really love to find him a good home since he has had a pretty rough life so far.

Location: Brooklyn Center, MN Cardinal is a sweet, soulful boy with a heart that’s especially soft for kids. He came from a tough situation and since coming into foster, he’s been blossoming beautifully in a loving home. When Cardinal first arrived, he was understandably nervous — even needed to be carried inside. But the moment he saw a 4½-year-old child, everything changed. His tail started wagging, he trotted right over, and he happily showered her with kisses. From that moment on, it was clear: kids are his favorite people. He adores children and loves being near them, often content just watching them play. Cardinal does well with other dogs when introduced slowly and thoughtfully, and he’s been completely uninterested in cats. He’s more comfortable with women right now but does warm up to men once he feels safe. He’s potty trained, medium-to-low energy, and currently not a fan of the kennel. Because of his past, he doesn’t quite know how to play yet, but he’s gentle, observant, and eager to be close to his people. With patience, love, and continued positive experiences, Cardinal will only continue to gain confidence.
