Story
This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  Meet Gazeley...our gorgeous Lab/Hound mix with the most stunning sable-colored coat! She’s actually Freedom’s sister, and just like her, she’s full of life, love, and energy. At only about 8 months old and 50 lbs, Gazeley is still a playful youngster who’s ready to learn and grow. She’d love an active home with a fenced yard where she can run, play, and burn off that puppy energy.  She’ll thrive with continued training and someone who enjoys adventure as much as she does. No couch potatoes for this girl...she’s all about fun and action!*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.November 6, 2025, 1:34 pm

This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.   6-7 months old, 20 lbs.   From Puerto Rico to the Jersey Shore! The Sato Project reached out for help, and of course we couldn’t say no. Meet three very special siblings, Bailey (boy), Lily, and Lexi (girls),  who just made the big trip in search of a brighter future.  At about 6 months old and 20–25 lbs, these cuties will likely grow to a perfect medium size (around 30-35 lbs full grown). As for their breed mix...well, that’s part of the fun! They’ve got the look of labs, shorter legs like bassets, and faces that resemble greyhounds or whippets. Whatever the combo, the result is 100% adorable.  We are looking for active homes with secure yards for these pups, along with families ready to commit to training and obedience. With the right guidance, they’ll grow into outstanding canine citizens.  Sweet, lovable, and ready to be someone’s best friend,  these pups are eager to start their new lives here in NJ. Could that be with you?*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 16, 2025, 3:37 pm

This stunning lab mix girl is everything you could ask for: sweet, loyal, and oh-so-loving. At just 7–8 months old and about 50 lbs (with a little more growing to do), she’s the perfect mix of puppy energy and big-dog heart.  Freedom is pet friendly and would make a wonderful addition to just about any home. She’s young and active, so she’s looking for a family with a fenced yard and a commitment to training classes — we just know she’ll be the star student!  Apply to meet this amazing girl and fall in love.   *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 19, 2025, 6:30 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nevada! If you are looking for a true snuggle bug then here she is! Poor Nevada (previously named Nellie) must have had a rough life. She has scars all over her body but that does not change her inner beauty and she is a lovely, ~8 to 10 yrs. old medium-size mixed breed sweetheart. Nevada LOVES to play with her toys and will share them nicely with you. She takes food, treats, and toys gently, loves to sun-bathe in the play yard, and loves to go for walks. She is strong on the leash but loves her walks. Nevada knows some commands and is a willing participant. This girl wants nothing more than to relax in a quieter side home with adults or older children. Best as your one and only pet in the home and will shower you with love. Won't you please be her forever person or family? Please apply to adopt Nevada at Rescueridge.com and if your application is a possible match a volunteer will get back to you shortly.
