Name: Toffee Age: 3 years Weight: 36.8 lbs Meet Toffee, a sweet and gentle soul who is looking for his forever family. He was rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico by our team, so he had a rough start to life -- but you would never know that due to his warm heart and playful, friendly disposition. He is a big fan of playing with humans and other dogs - but not the biggest fan of cats! Toffee flies from our Sanctuary to New Jersey on December 28th. Could you be the one to pick him up at the airport that day and show him all the love he deserves? To Adopt: Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform. Questions? Email us at adoption@thesatoproject.org About The Sato Project: The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Story
Bob was found wandering alone as a stray in New Brunswick, and sadly, no one ever came forward to claim him. At just three years old, this handsome boy has already known the heartbreak of being on his own. Bob would thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where he can be the center of attention as the only dog. In the right environment, he’s ready to give his loyalty and love to someone who will make him their whole world. Story
Meet Mable! At just 4 years old, Mable has already been through so much and handled it all with strength and love. She arrived at the shelter with her 8 newborn puppies, only a few days old, and spent the last 9 weeks selflessly nursing them into the healthy, happy pups they are today. Now that her job is done, it's finally her time to be the one taken care of. We're not sure of her breed mix, she might be a little bit of everything, but what we do know is she's 100% heart. Mable walks beautifully on leash and appreciates the calm things in life. She hasn't shown much interest in making dog friends, and after raising 8 babies in a shelter, who could blame her? What she needs now is a peaceful home, a cozy bed, and someone to show her the love she so freely gave to her puppies. Come meet this incredible mama in Tinton Falls, NJ, and give her the forever home she's earned ten times over. Apply at ahscares.org/adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Edith is with our rescue partner in Louisiana and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. Edith is a very sweet and energetic young girl who is ready for a fresh start. She and her sister Gloria were pulled from a shelter by a couple trying to save them, but they were then kept in chicken coops until rescue. Despite everything, Edith’s gentle heart and love for people have remained strong. She is an active, curious pup who loves to play and explore. Edith gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being around people. She is relatively quiet, but she has plenty of energy and would thrive with an active family who can help her burn it off in healthy ways. Edith would benefit from basic command training to help her settle into a routine. Because she can be a bit bouncy, a home without toddlers is recommended for now, simply to avoid accidental knockdowns. If you are looking for a loving, lively companion who is eager to learn and even more eager to love, Edith may be the perfect match. Edith is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. Her  adoption fee is $550.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wag-on-inn.com . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Percy- the definition of a "good boy" At just 1 year old and 57 pounds of golden lab love, Percy is everything you could hope for in a furry best friend. He's the total package: friendly, gentle, and just perfect. This handsome boy arrived on our 1/10 transport and he's doing very well in his foster home. Percy is the kind of dog that just fits - the one who greets you with a wagging tail and lots of love! He loves people, adores other dogs and kids and is fine with cats. This affectionate boy will follow you from room to room and he loves to give you kisses and hugs when he hasn't seen you in a while. Some of his favorite things include playing with toys, chews and his foster brother. He enjoys lying by the glass door and watching the birds, squirrels, and cars outside. Percy still has some puppy energy and would benefit from regular exercise and mental enrichment. He's very food motivated and a fast learner. Percy is smart, trainable, and picks up commands quickly! This good boy comes when called, knows sit and down, and he's working on other commands. Percy is still working on his leash walking skills - he loves to walk but pulls a bit. His foster has had a lot of success using a harness with a front clip. Percy is fixed, up to date on vaccines. Percy tested positive for heartworm and has begun treatment. We are looking for a foster to complete his treatment here in NJ with 2 visits to Barnegat Animal Clinic. His adoption fee will be $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.  CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION!
