Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Aurora, the little heart-stealer with a gorgeous dark brindle coat and the personality to match!   She’s equal parts playful and snuggly — the kind of pup who thinks belly rubs are a full-time job (for you). Aurora’s mom is a petite black lab mix, around 35 lbs, who wandered up to the perfect home just in time to have her babies. Mom hit the jackpot and is staying put (spayed and spoiled!). Dad? Well… let’s just say the neighborhood Rottweiler apparently had the freedom — and the charm — to roam!  Now little Aurora is ready to find her own forever home — somewhere she can keep perfecting her puppy zoomies and get all the love she deserves.  Ready to adopt some sunshine with a brindle twist? Aurora can’t wait to meet you! Aurora is up to date with her puppy vaccines Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Buddy is a sweet, playful, loving lab who will be arriving in NJ on 2/21. Meet Buddy — the dog who believes every day is a reason to celebrate    This 40-lb lab mix is the definition of instant happiness. He shows up, wags his tail, and suddenly, everyone in the room is smiling. Buddy loves other dogs (seriously, he meets new friends like it’s his job), adores toys, and thinks outside time is the best time.   He’s fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, and totally ready for his next big adventure — ideally one that includes car rides, couch snuggles, and a family who loves his goofy, joyful energy.   Volunteers say he’s the “life of the party” type — charming, funny, and always ready to make you laugh. If you’ve been wishing for a dog who brings sunshine wherever he goes, look no further.   Buddy’s dream is simple: to find his person and start the rest of his amazing life. Could it be you?  Buddy is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Slate is one of our southern gentlemen.  This adorable pup is with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but he's ready to trade the bayou for life in NJ if we can find a loving foster or even better, a forever family here. Meet Slate — a handsome, happy-go-lucky Staffy/Lab who’s ready for a second chance at forever    Slate was adopted as a puppy and recently came back to us through no fault of his own — his owners went through a divorce. He was deeply loved and very well cared for, which shows in his sweet manners and gentle heart.   This good boy grew up with babies and toddlers, and he’s wonderfully patient and affectionate. He’s also great with other dogs — he loves to play with pups of all sizes (just expect a little bounce when the fun gets going!). True to his Lab nature, we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a total water baby too.    Slate is looking for a family who’ll keep him included in the action — whether that’s backyard fetch, beach days, or couch snuggles. He’s trained, loving, and ready to bring joy to his next family’s life every single day. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, family-friendly companion… Slate might just be your perfect match.    Slate is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Chica is a sweet, gentle 45 lb mix of lab and possibly border collie. She came from Florida as a service dog but showed that she was not able to co exist with the other 2 dogs in the household consistently.  Chica loves to play and can show that she is energetic, especially when her owner returns from being out- she is very happy to see them return but in general is calm and well behaved. She is housebroken, good in the car, and loves her toys- especially her squeakys and chews!  She does not guard her toys or food, and walks nicely on leash.  She is not destructive when left alone and is not crated.  In general she is the perfect houseguest.  She has shown to be slightly skittish and for that reason is not recommended for small children.  We think she would do best as an only child, but is not reactive to other dogs on leash and also did well with a child she met during our meet.  Chica is the perfect size and could be the perfect addition to many families as she loves people and greets everyone appropriately.  She does love to run in the yard, but could also do well with an active family. It is unknown how she would do with a cat.   Chica will be brought up to date on vaccines and tested for heartworm.  She  has been spayed/neutered and has a microchip. His/Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION!
