Cruise was left at a local police station, and the person who left him stated he was neutered and they were just fostering him. ðŸ¤¨We did our best to dig for information but came up empty handed. Whatâ€™s weirder? He wasn't even neutered, but he did have an expired rabies tag. Cruise is about three years old, incredibly cute and playful. He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. This independent charmer appears to enjoy the company of other dogs, although a meet and greet would be necessary. However, his compatibility with cats is uncertain. Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix. This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption. You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies. All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind. She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life. She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own . This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly. This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night! Luna is a beautiful young Lab mix girl who has endured a very unstable start to her life that has left her shy and unsure of herself at just 5-6 months of age. This 25 pound girl is precious in body and soul and craves a confident hand to show her how to enjoy the world around her with joy and delight. She is so pretty and actually her ears stand up when she is not being shy for the camera. This sweet girl lived in a single bedroom of a disabled man for months and finally Critter Cavalry Rescue was able to secure a foster home for her to leave and get the great foster home that could work with her to build her self-esteem. She rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash. She is wonderful with cats, other dogs and shyly accepts attention from strangers. She will be a new girl in a short time of living with a competent and capable foster mom and family. She would be wonderful with children too! We envision this girl going to live with someone that has another confident, mature dog and who can take her on walking adventures and playful times in a fenced backyard. Luna will be a top weight of 45 pounds when fully grown. She has all the good stuff in her heart and soul and personality to be one of the move loving dogs you could ever adopt into your home. Meet Tenderhearted Thelma, a Black Lab mix girl that was found with her sister, Louise, running down the side of the road in the country on a busy highway. Obviously someone had dumped these special girls and allowed them to find their innocent way in this world…and death by a car was just a few minutes away. A wonderful rescue foster mom for Critter Cavalry Rescue saw what was happening and stopped her and gathered the two precious girls to remove them from harm’s way. As you can see from her posture, Thelma is very submissive and not quite so sure of herself. She is on a small farm with all sorts of animals; horses, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, newborn puppies, and fitting in easily and with submissive posturing. We want a family to take this girl who will grow to be 50 pounds, and mold her, build her confidence and love her to the moon and back. She is learning about life and we want a family to teach her all the good things that a well mannered dog needs to know how to do. Nina is a little girl who was born around Mid-May and the family who had their dog give birth, moved away from their country rental and left 10 puppies behind with no plan for food or water…..just an outdoor pen. After several months of a neighbor feeding them, Critter Cavalry Rescue was called in to help take them from the pen and give them a chance to find homes. This girl survived months of abandonment and starvation and has emerged with a few social hesitancies and insecurities, yet a smart mind and loving soul. She is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with children that are young, other dogs and also cats. She is a champ when it comes to being there for you but socially skittish when there are loud noises, sudden movements from outside and thunderstorms. Nina is coming in to a place that she is showing confidence and not scared of certain things. She will get there soon, but will need someone that doesn’t require her to be perfect. She truly is perfect in so many ways despite her really challenging early months as a litter that was abandoned. Nine is a lab/Pit mix that is beautiful and 44 pounds and a full weight as an adult. She is very sweet and loving and good with children, dogs, but NO CATS…..she loves to chase. She is housebroken and she is crate trained and is a true outdoor girl. She loves to sunbath on the back patio and she welcomes the opportunity to meet new people. She is pretty good on a leash and good on car rides and great recall that usually works for her. She is a companion puppy. She is a Lab/Pit mix and has the heart and soul of a Golden Retriever.
