This is a Courtesy Post-Please Conact Laurie frankg4@optonline.net if you have a furever home for Daisy. When Daisy looks at you with her big brown eyes, it is hard to say "no" to her! She is a happy dog with people but something of a bossypants with other dogs, so Daisy would do better as an only dog. She is about 10 years old and still spry and healthy; she loves to go outside and walks well on the leash. She is house-trained and knows "sit", "lie down", and "come" commands. Daisy is a city girl who came from Brooklyn, where her owner couldn't take care of her due to illness. She weighs 60 lbs. and is no longer interested in toys or chewing. Usually quiet at home, she will bark to alert her family to the presence of others, but enjoys meeting people. She loves our neighbor's kids and they love her. They are older elementary and middle school age….I haven't had a chance to see how she is with younger children. Daisy wants to be the only dog in her home, she likes seeing other dogs outdoors. At her foster home she has gotten used to living with a cat.She also just stares at us if she wants something. She has such cute eyes! If you want a dog to snuggle with on the couch, or to just hang out while she sleeps on her dog bed, Daisy is the dog for you. Have you ever seen a puppy disguised as a cow? Stevie is an adorable 3 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab/Chow mix that was part of our recent Mission 21 rescue mission! She has the cutest cow-like spotting on her back and adorable spots on her nose. She has a long ridge down her back reminiscent of her breed. Her mom was 50 lbs and her dad was 75 lbs, so we expect her to end up somewhere in that range. Stevie is energetic, active, sweet, spunky and loving. She loves to romp around the yard with the bigger dogs in her foster home. When she’s not playing, she’s happy to take a nap in a dog bed with her siblings. She recently attended several puppy yoga events and did wonderful meeting all of the new people. She has also been exposed to cats while in her foster home. Stevie will need a family that’s patient and committed to all of her typical puppy training including housebreaking, obedience, leash, crate and socialization. She is microchipped and utd on age appropriate vaccines. Meet Miss Lola! This sweet little girl is sure to steal your heart just in time for Valentine’s Day! With those soulful eyes and floppy ears, it’s impossible not to fall in love. Just two weeks ago, Lola arrived on transport feeling timid and unsure. She quickly warmed up after meeting new furry friends in her foster home. She loves to play but settles down easily afterward. Lola is learning to go potty outside and is doing very well with her training. She prefers kisses over nibbles and is incredibly loving with everyone she meets. Lola happily goes into her crate on her own to chew a toy and hasn’t barked or cried, even when the crate door is closed. After a good play session, she’s perfectly content to curl up in your lap or relax nearby for as long as you’ll have her. Lola hasn’t met cats in her foster home yet, but she does extremely well with other dogs! She’s looking for a patient family who will continue helping her learn and grow, as she’s still working on her puppy manners. Thinking about getting your dog a friend to help burn off some energy? Consider this your sign to adopt Mike! Mike is one of the infamous Mission 21 puppies and is used to having plenty of playmates. He would thrive with an active canine companion. While he’s full of puppy energy, Mike is also a total cuddle bug who loves being picked up and snuggled. He’s very vocal and isn’t shy about letting you know what he likes (and doesn’t) — expect full-on conversations with this little guy. Mike is making great progress with potty training, and with continued consistency, we’re confident he’ll be a pro in no time. He’s not his biggest fan of the crate at first, but settles after a few minutes and sleeps through the night without issue. On leash, Mike is doing well — only slight pulling and no signs of reactivity. Just watch those puppy feet, as he can be a little clumsy and trip you up if you’re not paying attention! He’s extremely gentle with children and seems to instinctively know to be careful, whether that means not bulldozing them over or keeping his chewing extra soft. Like all puppies, he loves to chew, but happily chooses dog toys over slippers. Meet Cassie, one of the sweetest pups you'll ever find. She is a squishy six-month-old ball of love and affection. Cassie is of course a young playful pup who loves to romp, squeak her toys, and chew on a bone. But her passion and favorite activity is cuddling on the couch. We believe she feels this is not just a hobby but her true calling! Right now she is about 30 pounds and should be a medium sized dog once grown. Cassie also likes other dogs and gets along well with her three foster family dogs. We have been diligently working on housebreaking and making good progress. She has quickly adapted to routine and will sleep quietly through the night in her crate once she settles down (unless her foster sister wakes her up). We would highly recommend working on overall socializing and training.
