She lives up to her name—this girl loves to be close and is happiest when she’s with her people. The Good Stuff: • Almost completely house-trained and uses a doggie door like a pro (Only a couple accidents during extreme cold, snow, and wind—can you blame her? ❄️) • Eats all meals in her crate and happily runs to it at mealtime • Has great crate manners: she’ll wait patiently when told until you say “okay” • Knows sit, is learning give paw, and responds well to “no jump” • Sleeps through the night uncaged, curled up in bed next to you • Can be left alone at home without being crated • Not food aggressive and gets along well with dogs, cats, and humans • Gentle, smart, and eager to please A Few Things She’s Working On: • Can be a little shy when first meeting new people • Very vocal when she plays—she likes to express herself! • Enjoys chewing on wood and will need appropriate chew toys and supervision • Still a puppy, so she occasionally needs reminders about jumping Sally is currently enjoying lots of outdoor playtime, and her weight will be updated once she comes back inside. Lisee is 8 years old (she’ll be 9 at the end of January) and was adopted from St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare center when she was 3 months old. She’s a 50-pound mix of Lab Retriever, Beagle, and Siberian Husky. Lisee is sweet, gentle, well-behaved, playful, and loves to snuggle. She loves her daily walks and does well if she has to be left home alone during the day. She’s good with other dogs and kids (I have never seen her interact with cats but I have a feeling she’d do well with them too). Lisee is healthy and the only medication she takes is her monthly heartworm/flea/tick tablet and glucosamine, which doesn’t require a prescription and which we order from Amazon. Her vet recently recommended the latter to help with occasional brief/minor limping that we noticed after long walks or very fast running.

Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations! Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET STELLA the Lab Mix (tall and skinny body frame with a deep chest like a Greyhound) North New Jersey Stella is the sweetest girl and as easy as they come. She loves sunning herself in the yard and taking naps. She is a very good communicator and lets you know when she needs to go out, wants to come in, needs water, etc. She also let's you know if someone is approaching the house, although she doesn't move from her sunny spot to do so. She is very well behaved in the house and clearly had some training and strict rules in her former home. She seeks approval to move around at all turns. It’s kind of sad actually. She is spayed, UTD, her blood work and xrays are normal, HW negative, she was treated for Lyme, her mouth is nice and clean so she didn't need a dental, housebroken, and she weighs 69 lbs. Her digestive system was a disaster upon arrival so we did allergy testing (5Strands) and the ole gal knew what she needed—the only thing she would eat and she had some great options—Annamaet Lean kibble (green bag). It’s as boring and vanilla as it comes. Her stomach cleared up immediately and she has been regular since. Stella is a wonderful gal who deserves her very own person to spend her retirement. She is very happy to meander around a small yard and plop down. She doesn’t really need to be walked so she is a great option for someone who just wants to let their dog out into the yard and back in. Given she is older and has long legs, she should not be doing a lot of stairs. She can do a step or two to get in and out of the house but she is not doing a flight of steps. So ideally a Ranch style house would be wonderful for her and obviously would prolong her life. Please fill out our adoption application if you are interested in Stella (link below).
