Story
Meet Reece! Reece is 7-8 months old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home with you! If we were allowed to use the word “Lab” as an adjective, noun, and verb, we would describe him as the labbiest lab to ever lab. Reece loves water (splashing in it, swimming in it, drinking it, etc), meeting new people, playing with other dogs, fetching after his stuffed cow toy, finding sunny spots to sunbathe in, and going for long walks. He is doing well with crate training, house training, and leash walking. Like any puppy, it will be your responsibility to keep working with him on these things but we believe he is well on his way to being an excellent dog. Reece is a super lovable goofball that will fit in well to any active home. He has a great “off switch” and enjoys curling up on the rug nearby and watching whatever you are doing. He has not lived with cats before but we believe he would be fine with a proper introduction and supervision. His biggest vices are overexcitement when passing other dogs on walks and crying in the crate at night so please be ready to address those with him. Once he settles in the crate, he will sleep 8+ hours. This guy has a big golden heart and can’t wait to meet you! Reece has lived with kids 5 and older and did very well with them. We would not recommend kids younger than that at this time. He would prefer a home with another dog to play with but it is not necessary as long as you are active and willing to play with him and walk him.

Story
Henry is a handsome 2-year-old neutered male, weighing in at almost 70 pounds of pure sweetness. This gentle boy is fully house trained and thrives on being close to his people — if you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves affection, Henry is your guy! He absolutely loves being pet and spending quality time with his humans. Crates aren’t his favorite place, but Henry will settle in after some time. Like most dogs his age, he has a few youthful habits, but they’re all completely trainable. He loves playing with toys and chewing on bones — and while he sometimes can’t tell the difference between his toys and your shoes, a little tidying up keeps everyone happy! Henry enjoys going for walks and walks beautifully on leash with no pulling. He’s friendly, well-mannered, and just a joy to be around. Henry is a bit skeptical about getting into the car and has experienced car sickness, but he remains very calm and quiet during rides, laying down the whole time without a sound. Aside from a little protest when it comes to the crate, Henry is incredibly quiet — truly a sweet, gentle soul who would make a wonderful addition to a loving home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Henry is waiting! 🐾💙

Story
***LOCAL ADOPTER NEEDED (within 50 miles of Apex, NC)! This dog is heartworm positive and needs to complete her treatment at our partner vet in Apex!*** Hi there! I’m Myrtle, your future best friend 💛 I’m a 3-year-old Labrador lady weighing in at a perfectly huggable 62 pounds of personality, charm, and pure joy. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts playful goofball and calm cuddle companion, well… hello, you found me. Let’s start with my manners: I’m house trained, well behaved, and I walk beautifully on a loose leash like the classy girl I am. Indoors, I’m calm and content—happy to snuggle on the couch, relax near my people, or chill in my crate like a pro. Now, about food. Mealtime is very serious business. When you grab my bowl, I perform a full-body happy dance, then eat with the speed and intensity of a velociraptor who hasn’t eaten in days. It’s impressive. Possibly alarming. Definitely entertaining. I adore toys of all kinds and love a good game of fetch. Outside time is truly my favorite part of the day. Every potty break starts the same way: a few joyful belly rolls in the grass, I take care of business, and then—ZOOM! I launch into full zoomie mode. I love chasing my humans, being chased back, sprinting around the yard, and eventually collapsing for a nap in the sunniest patch of grass I can find. Car rides? Oh, I’m a dream. As soon as the engine turns on, I sprawl out in the backseat, belly up, paws out, and I’m out cold—snoring softly while you drive. I’m incredibly affectionate and thrive on love and attention. I’d do best with an active adult or family with kids over 10, since I can get a little overstimulated and mouthy when playtime gets extra exciting. Because of my enthusiasm for zoomies, belly rolls, and sunbathing without supervision, my foster parents are hoping my forever home includes a fenced-in backyard where I can safely live my best life playing utside and a cozy crate indoors where I can retreat to take naps, play with all my toys, and sleep soundly through the night- I truly love my crate! It’s my safe space where I feel the most calm and happy. If you’re ready for a loyal, loving, hilarious companion who will keep you smiling every single day, I’m ready to meet you. Ps- I’m halfway through treatment for heartworm and rocking it! Peak Lab is paying for my treatment and will work with you to schedule part two of treatment when it’s time. Love, Myrtle 🐾

Story
Hi! My name is Chester! I'm a perfect male lab mix. I am just a puppy but I have a big heart full of love. I am as sweet as can be, always ready with a friendly wag for everyone I meet. There's not a mean bone in my body. I am also confident, smart and curious. I do well with other dogs and I have met a cat but I didn’t pay much attention to them. I have met children. I am doing really well with my house training… I know where to go when I am in my puppy pen. I have started working on my crate training, I am still hanging out in a puppy pen but I love to sleep in the crate with the door open. My favorite thing? Cuddles! I am a mellow pup who loves nothing more than a good snuggle. But don’t let my calm demeanor fool you, I am also playful and full of energy. I am still trying to figure out what toys are but I have figured out that the soft, fluffy ones are a lot of fun! I've been hearing my foster parents say what a good puppy I have been so I must be pretty special. I love them a lot but I would love anyone who showers me with love and affection. In return I promise to fill your life with joy, love and lots of cuddles! Please come meet me so you can see how special I am!

Story
Hi! My name is Archie, and at just 7 weeks old, I’m already growing, learning, and perfecting my puppy charm at record speed. I currently weigh 8 lbs, but thanks to my extra-floofy coat, I look like I’m smuggling a much bigger dog inside this adorable body. 😄 I’m friendly, playful, and very serious about exploring my world and meeting new people. I love romping around with my littermate sister and my big yellow foster brother, and I’m a huge fan of dog toys—especially tug-of-war and batting tennis balls around with my latte-colored paws (yes, they’re as cute as they sound). I’m doing great with using the bathroom outside—sometimes I just forget to give the humans an early warning. I’m EXTREMELY food-motivated, which means training me should be easy… as long as snacks are involved. I sleep like an absolute champion through the night in my cozy crate, because let’s be honest—being this cute is exhausting work. I love playing outside and am known for my award-worthy leaf-pouncing skills. I’ve started taking short leash walks, though I occasionally stop to admire literally everything because the world is fascinating. I’ve met some elementary-aged human neighbors and had a blast, and while I haven’t met a cat yet, I’m curious and open-minded. My foster mom says I give the sweetest kisses, especially right after waking up from a nap. And if you scratch behind my ears or rub my irresistible puppy belly, I’ll happily melt into a snuggly little puddle right next to you. Basically, I’m equal parts playful explorer, professional snuggler, and future best friend. Think you’re ready for an Archie in your life?
