This is one sleek and handsome dude and resembles Rizzo from Grease only by his ebony coat and utter smex-y-ness....in all other ways he is totally Danny from Grease and will consistently be the guy all the girls love and want to be with! Rizzo is a younger adult lab mix who weighs about 40 lbs now but will likely fill out some more. Rizzo is a quiet guy, but don't let that fool you. This playing fool loves being around other dogs and has been having a blast at the farm with his doggo friends. Rizzo would happily join a home with other dogs and the number of people matters not to him. He can adore one or attach to 10...whoever in the home will sure be lucky though to be on the receiving end of this one! Active and ready to go and do, Rizzo can also settle into a crate and be so quiet you might forget her is there. This handsome hunk is ready for a life of love, go go go and smooch smooch smooch. Trust us... he is the one that you want, one that you want, oooh ooh oooh! **Volunteer Dof Walker feedback: "Rizzo did amazing for his first hike with the group! He was at the front of the pack the entire time, second only behind Frenchie-who would not have it any other way. He did great on a leash, not pulling too much, was easy to handle, and was consistently happy to keep moving". "Rizzo did well socially around the other dogs and humans" "He steered clear of any puddle and watched the other dogs frolic in the lake".

Underwood is our version of an American Idol and we think she'll be a winner in your book too! She is an adult retriever mix with great energy who weighs about 52 lbs full grown and she's ready to be a playmate, exercise partner or super snuggler with her new family. Underwood does great with other dogs and while she doesn't have to be the boss of things, she does appreciate playing with other like-minded dogs that just want to have fun. She warms up quickly to meeting new people and is enjoying her chance to learn new things from the volunteers at the farm. This well-rounded girl will enjoy being in the middle of your adventures and fill your home with goofy antics to keep you laughing. *Weekend Host feedback: "Underwood was an amazing pup! She is excellent in the crate overnight with no accidents or barking. She knew exactly what to do when it was time for bed". "Car rides were minimal but the time she spent in the car she laid down in the backseat once we got moving. Overall, Underwood is a sweet dog with the potential to be an amazing addition to someone's family"! "Underwood was great. No accident. No barking. Easy to put in the crate at night".

Let the LOVE rain down...and we mean pour down...soaking wet with cuteness and sweetness...you'll leave your umbrella at home every time for sure if it means you get to hang with Monsoon! Monsoon is this great retriever mix who is an adult, weighing about 60 lbs full grown. This guy is the kind of goofballs and the social-est of butterflies around. Despite his size, Monsoon has the energy and attitude of a pup who loves other dogs, running and romping and lapping up the loves, pets and attentions of people. Monsoon is a good boy who is ready to learn anything you have to teach him, has a great appetite for treats of both the food and affection kind and could both join a family with other dogs or go it alone as a single dude. He is great in his crate and learned the routine with ease and he just seems to "fit wherever he goes. Monsoon is ready to meet you... come soon and see what we're talking about! **Volunteer Dog Walk feedback: "- Monsoon is handsome and super energetic. He was very excited for our walk! On our hike he had a signature move of pausing, backpedaling, and springing into the air like a grasshopper before starting our next stretch of the walk! He really wants to play with other dogs, but will need another dog that's okay with his play style". *Recent Hosts commented: " We think he would make a great running/ hiking partner! " " He was friendly with every dog we met and had no reaction even when they barked at him." "He is a very smart boy and showed off how he can sit and lay down for treats." "He had great apartment manners- he didn't bark at all and had no accidents." He didn't meet a single toy he wasn't a fan of! He is a big, goofy, fun-loving guy who just wants friends". Most recent Weekend Host added: "He loved to go on long walks and was always friendly to other dogs and people. " "While he loves playing, he also loves cuddling and snuggling on the couch or in bed. As long as he's touching you or you have a hand on him, he starts snoring right away! " " He had great house manners and would be great for a quiet community as I didn't hear him bark once."

Story
It's time for some good luck for our new resident, Goldie. He is an adult lab mix that is an absolute delight with his hunky good looks and easy going and chill personality. Goldie enjoys hanging out with the dogs in his play group and when he's done, he politely excuses himself and seeks out the nearest volunteer for some human attention. Goldie is the kind of guy who can adapt to most any home setting and while he's not picky, he wouldn't mind regular healthy meals and exercise to keep him at his top condition as he could stand to lose a few lbs. He is a grown adult in all sense, meaning he is well behaved in his crate and knows where to use the bathroom. He's a great new addition to our cast of characters, but Goldie would much rather find his forever. Help this guy find the good luck he deserves and come out to Saving Grace to meet him! *Feedback from Goldie's Host Weekend Sleepover: "Goldie is a wonderful family dog just waiting for his family. He has clearly been a beloved pet and is 100% ready to regain that status ASAP. *We loved having Goldie for the weekend! What a cool, mellow, easy-going dog. Some highlights: -He's house-trained and crate-trained and likes to sleep in on the weekends. -He's quiet - he didn't bark or whine a single time all weekend. -He respects furniture and belongings and can be left alone in the house. -He loves kids, and kids love him! -He's super low-maintenance - up for a short walk or hike, or a little play session with a ball if you want, but otherwise content to just hang out. -He's friendly to all people and dogs - totally nonreactive when people come to the door, meeting people and dogs on walks, etc. -He rides well in the car. -He's a big, very low-key, chill dog who shows his inner puppy briefly (and adorably) when given a ball or toy." Most recent Weekend Host commented: "He seems very comfortable riding in a car and being in a home. He had perfect potty manners, and slept peacefully all night. " "We worked on the "sit" command." " He's good at taking treats very gently." "He gets a burst of energy when he gets a new toy which is so fun to watch!"

Story
Strudel is a beautiful black lab mix. She is friendly, playful, and enjoys playing keep-away with toys. Afterwards, she jumps onto the couch for some snuggles and kisses. Strudel is food motivated and happy to learn tricks for treats. She made friends with adults, children of all ages plus the two resident adult dogs. *Weekend Host feedback: "Strudel is a super gentle, sweet, lovely dog who would be wonderful for a family or a good match for someone active and/or with another playful or younger dog. She needs some reassurance around unfamiliar things, but started to come out of her shell in only three days and with love and patience will become more confident. She very obviously wants to play with and enjoys meeting other dogs, but also loves human interaction and wanted to be near us at all times". Recent Weekend Host commented: "She was very eager to greet all humans and dogs alike on our walks." "We worked a bit more on sit, down, and leave it. She's a super quick learner and food motivated." "She wasn't a fan of the crate but was quiet except for letting you know she needs to potty." "A little hesitant getting in the car but once in, she lies down and is pretty much silent the entire ride." "Typical of her age, she loves to chew and appreciates a long lasting option to keep busy." "While extremely quiet outside, she likes to communicate with you inside to let you know she needs or wants something." "She was gentle with both the resident smaller dog and cat all weekend and never bothered them!"

You can see around this corner already right? Giggles is here and she is ready to bring joy, laughs and of course giggles to your every day life! Giggles is a 40 lbs lab mix gal with the cutest little ears that bend forward in small triangles. She is the sweetest of the sweet and has great manners with people and other dogs alike. Giggles has a medium energy level and likes her walkies, her toys and doesn't mind her crate a bit. Quiet as a mouse, she is happy to sleep there but of course equally happy to snuggle up to her people. Giggles could easily join an existing pack but does not need one to be happy. This gal is ready to bring the fun and laughs! Come meet her soon. **Volunteer Dog Walk feedback: "Definitely the most energetic of our bunch! Always the line leader and the first to jump into the lake. Wasn't the most social but didn't have any problems with the other dogs, she always seemed like a woman on a mission. Has A LOT of personality and loves people". *Weekend Host feedback: "She walked well on a leash and was nonchalant about seeing or meeting other dogs or people while out. She was interested in anything that moved but just stared. She especially liked watching horses on the tv screen. I never heard her bark once. When out of the crate she frequently jumped up on the couch next to me and wanted to lie in my lap and be petted. Then she would play with a toy alligator which she took to immediately.she was a very sweet girl, full of kisses and affection".

Story
(12/29/2018) Honey is pure gold; she is a go with the-flow kind of girl--she knows how to have fun but is equally ready to settle in for snuggles and snoozing.  She won’t say no to a fenced yard to explore and run some zoomies in, but she doesn’t require one.  She would do just fine in an apartment or a house without a fence if her family took her for one or two walks per day. Honey is dog friendly, and good with kids of all ages.  She likes toys and likes to chew, so she would do well with durable toys and things to keep her occupied. At the end of the day, she’ll be the first one to lay on the couch and cuddle with you. Honey is house trained and is crate trained and will relax calmly in her crate when you are away from home.  This girl LOVES her car rides and will happily be your Ride Or Die! She also loves getting walkies and is great on her leash. If you're looking for a dog to take to breweries and restaurants, Honey is definitely your new bestie. Honey is looking for a loving home with her furever family to love her and play with her. Is it you? As part of Honey's $300 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Sandy, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##945313##

Story
(DOB 12/17/2023)   This girl is super smart and quick to pick up on commands AND she's eager to please,  she learned basic commands in a day, what a little smarty-pants! The ideal home for Juicy Fruit is one in which she has her people home with her often. Since she is still a puppy with a good amount of energy ready to be your buddy!!! Another young or young-at-heart playful dog would be great in her forever home or an active family lifestyle where she has lots of fun and attention. This natural beauty groans hysterically when she’s sleepy. Her ideal sleeping position is on her back in between two humans. Her very best 2-legged friend his her foster's moms 5-year old child.  She has the happiest, most enthusiastic puppy butt/body wiggle, this girl wears her emotion on her sleeve. This girl is pretty adaptable; she would be ok in a family with other doggie siblings or people siblings, could be in a home or an apartment, condo or townhome since she doesn't require a fenced in yard (of course, as long as she has plenty of playtime and several walks a day).  Juicy fruit is still learning all of her training so a consistent and regular routine has been important.      As part of Juicy Fruit’s $325 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Juicy Fruit, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2010110##

Story
(DOB 4/19/2024).  Due to Ronnie's young age, he has not yet been neutered.  For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).  Ronnie is your typical puppy with lots of playful energy!! He is looking for a home with another fun and playful dog. Puppies do best in a home with other older, yet fun and energitic dogs to learn proper doggie socialization skills plus helps burn the appropriate amount of energy. When Ronnie is running and romping, this affectionate boy would love a lap to curle up in and lots of cuddles. Since he is still a pup, his new family would need to have at least one family member home most of the day. A nice fenced in yard would be the next most favorite thing for rompin' Ronnie!  Add in a few kiddos who are all about outdoor fun and activities and are amazing animal lovers, would be icing on the cake. Ronnie is still a puppy and doesn't know his own strength so dog-savvy kids are best...he is still gonna jump up, nibble so older kids are most appropriate. We wouldn't want Ronnie accidently knocking over little ones. Plus, he is expected to be a big boy. You ready for partening during puppy-hood, and can commit to the time he needs now to grow up to be a well behaved adolescent, as well as know you will be his everything for many, many years? Then look no further than this cow-dog patterned pup! Trent says he is all about meeting his fun, happy, active and super loving family! Story
Hi there, I'm Daria - your golden-hued canine companion, and I'm on a mission to spread sweetness and a dash of spice wherever I go! Picture this: I'm an adult dog who's got the sweetness game down to an art. Lounging is my specialty, and I take great pride in lavishing belly rubs and kisses upon my favorite people. When it comes to lazing around, consider me the expert. My sunny disposition lights up any room, and I've got a soft spot for curling up beside you for some quality relaxation time. I'm the embodiment of sugar, and my love for people knows no bounds. Now, let's talk about the spice - I do have doggo friends and I love to play hard. Go hard or go home I think you two legged people say and that works when it comes to my romping time. Oh, did I mention I'm potty and crate trained? Yep, I've got those skills down too. Your home will be my haven, and I'll make sure to keep everything neat and tidy. So, if you're looking for a furry friend who brings a perfect blend of sweetness, lazy lounging, and a touch of spice to your life, look no further. I'm Daria, and I'm ready to add some flavor to our adventure together! *Feedback from a weekend host includes: "She rode great in the car. Didn't make a peep". "She is a very affectionate little girl". Recent host commented: "She sure is a couch potato, as soon as we got to the house she made herself @ home on the sofa & chilled. She felt at ease so I knew we hit it off right away." "She's a super sweet girl very well behaved and would be a wonderful addition to any home. "
