Story
Biggie is a good dog. He just has a little too much energy and can be kennel aggressive and reactive at times. He needs a good home where he can be the only pet and someone who has time to work with him. He can be aggressive to other dogs at times and can be extremely friendly with them at other times. Unfortunately having three children he is too much to handle in a small household with limited property. For the most part he is house broken but can slip up and have accidents when he is excited.

Story
Sweet Bee is a 4 month old (as of 7/20/26) female Hound/Am Staff/Cur type mix who has traveled all the way from Southern Virginia to fine a forever home in the North! Bee currently weighs approximately 29 pounds and we expect her to be about 60 pounds full grown. Bee is perhaps the most submissive of her litter. She is spunky but not pushy in any way, shape or form. Cuddly and sweet as can be is BEE. She would probably do well with a canine companion, respectful kids, and can even likely learn to live with a kitty! Very people friendly and social in general, Bee has the makings of an amazing adult! Being a puppy means that Bee will need a family willing to dedicate a lot of time to her. She will need training, exercise, and structure along with plenty of love. Socialization is key for Bee and any puppy. She will need to go to all the places and see all the weirdness the world has to offer. Meet tons of strangers and friends alike. A puppy means starting fresh with house training, crate training and basic training. A puppy class would be an amazing way of accomplishing that last part! She is food motivated and smart as a whip - a lifetime of fun and love.Bee will be available in a couple of weeks. If you are interested in her, please fill out the application

Story
Bugsy is an adorable 14 week old (as of 7/20/26) male baby who currently weighs in at approximately 13 pounds. We believe he will be around 30-35 pounds fully grown. Now the million dollar question - what on earth is he mixed with????!!! Honestly, we cannot say for sure, but current opinion is some sort of herdy farm dog, like a border collie, had a rendezvous` with possibly a whippet and then added a small dash of terrier - perhaps a Feist? It works for us - but if someone wants to do an Embark test on him, we are ALL IN! Bugsy is a sweetheart no matter what his genetics are! He came to us from the SPCA in Martinsville VA. When he came to them as a very young, very small boy, he was suffering from malnutrition and rickets. With their tender care, he recovered completely and is now the picture of health! This kid is social, happy, and just a darling. He loves his toys, his bed, and his people. He is brilliant and eager to learn - all he needs is the right family to help him along his journey. We think he would be fine with a canine companion, could absolutely learn to live in harmony with a dog savvy cat, and would be fine with respectful children. Like any puppy, Bugsy will need a family dedicated to making sure he grows to be an outstanding adult. Puppy classes, socialization, training at home - all part of the puppy process. Is it a lot of work? YES! Is it totally worth it? ONE HUNDRED TIMES YES! We want to see Bugsy paired up with someone who wants to do all the things with him. Take him out and about to see the world, train him and give him rules to help him feel secure and safe, plenty of attention to make him feel at home and loved. Bugsy will be ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks, once his quarantine is complete and he is neutered. In the meantime, if you think he is the right pup for you, please fill out the application

Story
This big ol` beefy dude is Eli! Eli is a 4 month old male Hound/Am Staff/Cur type mix who is ready to charm his way into your life. Currently weighing in at 32 pounds, we expect Eli to be around 60-65 pounds as an adult. Like we said, he`s a beefy dude! Eli came to use from the SPCA in Martinsville VA along with his four sisters. We don`t know much about his background other than it looked bleak until the whole litter found its way to people determined to see them thrive! Eli is pretty laid back as far as puppies go - he`s a thoughtful lad, relatively laid back, but not without puppy energy and joy. He is exceptionally smart - it took him just a few minutes to start to get the hang of what the heck a leash is! He loves people of all shapes and sizes and could certainly be a candidate for a multiple dog household. We have not seen his reaction to cats but assume that he might could annoy them (as most puppies will) but also could learn to live with them with proper direction and correction. Eli is a blank slate who is ready to learn all the things that puppies need to learn. He will need a family that is willing to dedicate the time and energy necessary to raising a pup. This means plenty of socialization by taking him to all the places where he can meet all the people. Training him to be as good of a boy as possible, something that puppy obedience classes would be perfect for. Exercise and mental stimulation are a must. Eli is going to be a pretty big boy when he`s done growing - getting a handle on basic commands and good manners NOW is a key to his success in this world. Eli will be ready for his forever family in a couple of weeks after he passes quarantine and is neutered. If you think that he is the one for you, please fill out the application

Story
This lovely red sable girl with the cool widow`s peak is Cin! Cin is a 4 month old (as of 7/20/26) female Hound/Am Staff/Cur type mix who is as sweet as can be. She currently weighs in at approximately 28 pounds and will likely be a 60 pound adult. Cin came to us all the way from Southern Virginia with her 4 siblings. She is one of the more laid back puppies, but arguably, the sassiest. What do you expect from a red head? Cin is very social and friendly, would probably do fine with other friendly canines, as well as with respectful children. Cats are an unknown, but while we can assume that she will find `Chase the Kitty` a fun game, it wouldn`t take much to help her learn to respect her feline housemates. As with any puppy, Cin will need plenty of structure, rules and training. Equally important is the socialization factor. She needs a family that is willing to do all of the things with her - take her to new places, help her to properly meet as many people as possible. This will help ensure that our girl grows up to be a well balanced brave adult. Puppy classes would be amazing, and like her siblings, Cin is very responsive to food rewards and eager to learn everything she can. She will need to learn house manners, be crate trained, and house trained. We firmly believe she is up to the challenge! Cin will be available in a couple of weeks. If you believe she is the girl for you, please fill out the application

Story
Gorgeous Ava is a 4 month old (as of 7/20/26) female Hound/Am Staff/Cur type mix who hails from the land of Dixie, having come to us from Southern Virginia with her 4 siblings. She currently weighs in at approximately 29 pounds, and we expect her to be around a 60 pound adult. Ava is the boss lady of her litter of 5. She has that kind of personality that promises a bold, outgoing, no fear kind of adult. She keeps everyone in line with an inborn confidence that will make her an outstanding new member of the family. Because she likes to be the head girl in charge, we would prefer that Ava be the only girlie in the home. She would likely be just fine as an only, or with a brother to keep in line. We anticipate she would be fine with respectful kids, and while cats are a bit of a mystery, could learn to respect and live in harmony with them with a little guidance and rules.Puppies are a lot of work, and Ava is not an exception to that rule. No puppy is! She is very smart, very food motivated, very ready to learn. She will need rules, structure and help to be her very best both as a pup and an adult. Socialization is key, and she needs a family that is willing to involve her in all the things, take her to wild and strange places (right now that`s everywhere), and let her meet just as many humans as possible. Puppy school would be an amazing way for a new owner to create an undeniable bond with this little girl and help with many learning opportunities as well. If you are i

Story
Rowan is looking for a new home or foster home. This four year old, sweet three-legged chocolate lab mix was adopted 3.5 years ago when he was just a 6 month old puppy, and sadly he is now searching for a new family. We are hoping this next home will truly be his forever home.Rowan currently lives with children and does well, but at this time we would prefer a home with older children (10+). He is also living with cats. While he generally seems okay with them, he does chase at times. He recently went to the vet to get updated on his vetting and did very well there. He has also dog tested well.Despite only having three legs, Rowan gets around great and has so much love to give.If interested in adopting Rowan, please fill out an application found at www.allaboutthepawz.comLocated in Youngstown, Ohio - must be within an hour or so of Youngstown.

Story
Ben is an outstanding dog. All he wants to do is play and be loved. Such a gentle soul. Someone dumped him at a truck stop so when I found him, he just walked right up. little puppy very skinny and fragile. I picked him up gave him a bath and feed him. He had been my buddy ever since. It seems he was being abused cause he would jump at every little noise and get low to the floor. I was only suppose to keep him a couple days but the people that said they would take him didn’t so I started taking care of him. Work a busy schedule so had to start putting him in daycare. SO affectionate. Always wants to cuddle, touch or give kisses. He needs more space he can run and some one that can give him more attention then I can. He deserves it. He really is an amazing and GOOD LOOKING, healthy boy. This is the hard part for me. I deal with chronic anxiety so he is a little detector when I’m having a panic attack. He comes and lays on me or pushes his body against my back to calm me, on his own
