Story
Butchie is an adorable little guy who was adopted as a puppy and returned to rescue a year later. Butchie has been in boarding since Aug and really needs to find a family to love. He is good with kids but would recommend kids over 8 due to his energy levels which will settle down once he’s getting more exercise. Butchie is housebroken but may need a little brush up since he’s been in boarding for so long, he’s neutered, crate trained, utd on vaccines. Not sure how he is with cats but he can be cat tested. Butchie has cherry eye but vet recommended leaving it alone since he’s had to from puppyhood and it doesn’t bother him. Both Butchie and the rescue need to get this boy out of boarding and with a family asap. How could you resist that sweet face and those chunky little legs?

Story
Hello, my name is Sinclair. I`m looking for a family who understands older dogs and wants to provide me with a cozy retirement home. The staff are very much in love with me; they are always looking for ways to cheer me up or brighten my days (they worry that an old dog like me won`t get adopted for a while), but truly just spending time with them is all I need; they make me so happy and it is so nice to have friends. The staff started to notice some changes in me and asked a behavior consultant and our medical team to give me a good once-over. They found out that I was in pain (this old body just ain`t what it used to be). I`ve started pain management medicines and they`ve helped so much! I`ve got spring in my step, a smile on my face, and the excitement of a much younger me. My forever home will be all about me, from sunrise until sunset. No other animals to steal my thunder, no crazy kids to ache my bones, and no shortage of tasty treats. The staff here have been teaching this old dog new tricks! They`re teaching me how to crate train, walk gently on a leash, and so much more. My secret? I`ve been teaching these young whippersnappers some of my own tricks! I taught them how to see when I am in pain, I explained to them that sometimes I don`t want my food touched (but I`m good with communicating that politely), and even trained them to realize when I need a `couch potato` day to rest my body. They`re pretty smart, if I do say so myself. I love picking out new toys, snuggling on a cozy blanket or rug, and playing with my bone. If the staff could pick one word to describe me, it would be: happy. If I could pick one word to describe me, it would be: hopeful. I know my family is out there somewhere, willing to take an old man like me into their homes and hearts, despite my age and what it means. I know they are out there, because the staff promise me every day that my family will be here soon. And what I`ve learned after all these months, after all my lessons, exams, consults, and talks...my staff don`t give up and they don`t break any of their promises. Hello, my name is Laszlo! If you are looking for a new best friend, I would be a perfect choice! Some people see my age and think that my best years are behind me....but they aren`t! I have so many more adventures to go on, so many more memories to make. I LOVE people. My favorite thing to do is snuggle up with my favorite person. I am great with kids, men, and women. If you have time to pet me, we`ll be besties for sure. I am housebroken and I love to play with toys (I talk a lot when I play too). I can`t live with cats because I do like to chase them, but I might enjoy the company of another older, calm dog. I am very affectionate and ready to find a forever family to call my own. Come meet me today!**I am currently in foster! Please call the shelter if you`re interested in meeting me!**If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
Zeus is 8yrs old. We have had him and his sister since they were 12 weeks old. The two are always together. They sleep next to each other and most of the time snuggling one another. We had an invisible fence since we got them so they are use to staying in the yard even when taken to someone else's home. He loves to go on walks. He loves to roll around in the snow. Even though he is a big dog, he thinks he is a lap dog. If you let him sit on the couch with you, he likes to be laying across your lap or legs or at least right up against you. If he sleeps in the bed, it is the same thing. Both him and his sister like to be right up against you or have a paw on you. I am hoping to find a good home for him and his sister together. I have recently had unfortunate life changing events and I need to find them a good home. My husband passed away and I had to move out of the house.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gable - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Named after a real life 'ladies man' Clark Gable, this here ladies man is ready to let all that be 'Gone With The Wind' and to settle down in a loving home. I want to say goodbye to 'Love On The Run' and just enjoy my belly rubs, ear scratches and some of those nice tasty treats. This family life is going to be all that, like being given the 'Key To The City'!! Here at my new foster home, I’m happily browsing around for any kind of yummy smells but when my foster mom says the word “ride” I jump in the truck lickety split. Going for a ride is one of my favorite things, making me a pawsome co-pilot. I come in at about 45 pounds and at around 5 years young, I still love having a blast going on adventures! My salt and pepper muzzle gives me a very distinguished look that the ladies tend to love (what can I say, this Gable has still got it!!), along with my 'turn you to mush' expressive eyes, I am just too handsome, what's not to love! I really really enjoy my cuddle time and will sit patiently waiting for my time to get me some lovins! I love to curl up right next to you and get as close as possible. And oh, did I mention how I will do anything for belly rubs?!!!! This ole boy hasn't let life get me down. 'It Happened One Night', I found myself in the local doggie jail, thinking I was gonna be doing 10 to life, but the judge was lenient and I'm out on parole for good behavior (and I really am a good boy!). I'm a very laid back and mellow fella, going with the flow, not wanting to make any extra work, which makes for me to be a great family addition even for a first time pet parent. Does I sound like a good fit for your family, I sure do hope so?! Please fill out my adoption application and let’s get me a 'Homecoming'...to your home!!!
