Story
Tux is a very vocal high energy some type of lab mix. He enjoys tennis balls and loves to cuddle and be held. Unfortunately, I have another male dog who does not get along with Tux. Since this interaction, he has really had more issues with resource guarding his food. Without food, he is fine with my female dog. He does not like any male dogs and would benefit from a meet with a female if there is one prior to adoption. I feel terrible rehoming him as he is not the problem. He does have issues with demand barking, but this resolves once his need is met: petting, food, water, outside. I have been trying to rehome him for 2 year now with little interest, which truly breaks my heart because my household has remained divided and he's not getting the life he deserves. He also does not do well in a crate as he will rub his nose on the ground and become anxious. Please ask me any questions, I want to be as transparent about this good boy as I can so he goes somewhere he can really thrive.
