Story
Daisy is an energetic, young black lab with a dab of German Shepherd. She absolutely adores children and all levels of play. Daisy loves to play with children and her humans. Daisy spends her days playing with toys, and her foster mom. She's currently fostered with other dogs but doesn't always listen to their cues so she would probably do best in a home without other dog companions. Daisy is seeking an active family who wants to run and play with her. Daisy is house trained and knows basic commands. Daisy becomes lazy looking for cuddles once she has found her couch. If you're interested in her please email rescuepups411@gmail.com Thank you!

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Tami. I'm about 8 months old and I weigh about 20 lbs. I should stay a nice, medium size of about 30 lbs or less as an adult. I am a super sweet, energetic girl looking for my new family to love. I will definitely still need some work with my basic manners as well as work on potty training. I can be quite mouthy, especially when I play, so that will definitely need some work. I love people and I get along great with the other dogs I've met since making my way into the pound. I would make a great playmate for another young, energetic, playful dog. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Pappy. I'm about 5 years old and I weigh about 65 lbs. I was found as a stray in the New Waterford area and I was brought into the pound. I have been a really good boy here at the pound. I am sweet, happy and I like to play, but I am past the puppy shenanigans. I appear to be completely housebroken and I am a good boy when I am in my kennel. I am not a dog that likes being squeezed and hugged, kissed on, poked and prodded. I am a great boy. I am smart. I know commands. I like affection. I am well mannered... But, I do not like certain things, and I will tell you NO. Children don't always understand that cue and that some dogs would rather be left alone sometimes, so I am looking for a family without children. I will also likely need muzzled at the vet for things like annual vaccines and nail trims, as, again, I am not a fan of poking and prodding. I also don't like being messed with while I'm eating. I like to eat in peace, enjoy my treats in peace, then we can talk. I have done well around all of the other dogs that I've met here at the pound. I love going for nice, long walks with the volunteers on the days they're here. I enjoy being out of my kennel, rolling around in the grass and romping around for a little bit... then sleeping for hours. I would make an excellent companion for a single person looking for a dog to keep them company and keep them safe. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees.
