Story
Dobby found himself homeless as a puppy and he had to be trapped with a humane trap since he did no really trust people. Can you blame him? He got tossed out probably for being a normal puppy. Anyway, Dobby has since recovered nicely, is a very sweet boy and he now loves people. He does need to be obedience trained, so a first time dog owner is not recommended. He is under 2 years old and really deserves to be in a home. A shelter is not a place for Dobby. Please consider adding Dobby to your home. Visit our website and fill out an application and send it in to our email address. oasisanimalshelter.net oasisanimal@wmconnect.com

Story
Rowdy is a little over 1 year old, 83.6 pound, Lab (Bluetick Coonhound?) mix. Rowdy joins us through no fault of his own - his family got him being told he would be a medium sized dog (a Blue Heeler mix) and he has grown well beyond that, but in a small 2 bedroom apartment he became too large and they could not continue meeting his needs. Rowdy has shown he needs a little time to adjust, but now that he is settled in his foster home he has shown he is smart, energetic, aims to please, and definitely needs a yard! He has met the foster home's cat and other dogs showing he is one friendly boy who plays a little rough - but does no harm. He is crate trained, has not had any accidents in the house, and is doing amazing learning how to walk better on a leash with out pulling, and not jumping up. * Rowdy is microchipped, neutered, current on shots, and on monthly prevention * His adoption fee is $300.00 * Visit the below link to apply for this handsome boy Apply Here: www.whatsupdogg.org/adoptionapplication Note: > Applicants must live within an hour radius of Fremont, OH > A member of our rescue will be in contact once your application is received

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Rusty is a 3-year-old Retriever/Hound mix with a heart as warm as his handsome copper coat. While he may have started out a little timid, this sweet boy has truly blossomed. Each day he grows more confident, more trusting, and more deeply bonded to his people. Rusty is the definition of loyal. If you leave the room, he’s right behind you. If you leave the house, you might hear a little whine letting you know he already misses you. He’s becoming the most adorable little shadow — and he wears the title proudly. This smart boy is eager to please and incredibly trainable. He already knows “sit,” walks nicely on leash (with just a little polishing needed), and is both crate-trained and potty-trained. With consistency and kindness, Rusty could learn just about anything — he truly wants to get it right. Rusty does well with other dogs and kids. He hasn’t met cats yet. He loves treats (who doesn’t?!) and is a true toy connoisseur — plushies, squeakers, balls… he appreciates them all and will happily show off his collection. When playtime winds down, you’ll likely find him curled up in the nearest dog bed, carefully selected Goldilocks-style until he finds the perfect one. Because Rusty has likely experienced some tough moments in his past, he can be sensitive to loud voices. He thrives in a calm, patient home where he feels safe and understood. In return, he gives the sweetest kisses, the gentlest affection, and a loyalty that runs deep. Rusty isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for his person. Someone who wants a devoted companion, a gentle soul, and a best friend who will follow them anywhere. If you’re ready for unconditional love (and a very cute shadow), Rusty is ready for you. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
