Update: Lexi has an adoption pending! Lexi is a beautiful, sweet Black Lab mix. She is small at 47 lbs. Lexi is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly preventatives. She was found as a stray with her brothers Luke and Duke. Lexi is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit" but will need some basic training. Lexi is very smart and learns fast. She loves other dogs and is currently in doggie day care at Paws by the Lake. She is a little shy at first but once she gets to know you - she is your best friend! Lexi would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, not electric. If you are interested in Lexi, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Lexi would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Update: Luke has an adoption pending! Meet Luke! Luke is a super sweet and smart Lab Shepard mix. He is 60 lbs and approx. 9 months old. Luke is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Luke was found as a stray with his brother and sister, Duke and Lexi, also posted for adoption. Luke is eager to please his human and very trainable. Luke is in a fantastic foster home and has learned all his basic commands; sit, paw, heel and stop. He will sit patiently in his place for his food and is working on new commands daily. Luke walks well on lead and loves to play fetch. Luke is crate trained and goes to his crate well. He sleeps in it overnight and surprisingly likes to sleep in! He is housebroken too. Luke has energy spurts and zoomies like all young dogs, but for the most part he is happy playing with a toy at your feet, or cuddles up for long naps in your lap or his favorite spot. He is pretty low key for a 9 month old dog. Luke will chew on items left on the floor (a house is a new environment for him) but he is quickly learning what he can and can’t have. For now, though, he can’t be left free in the house unattended so he should be crated. Luke would do well with another dog or a bustling family with kids or a couple that has time to play! Dobby found himself homeless as a puppy and he had to be trapped with a humane trap since he did no really trust people. Can you blame him? He got tossed out probably for being a normal puppy. Anyway, Dobby has since recovered nicely, is a very sweet boy and he now loves people. He does need to be obedience trained, so a first time dog owner is not recommended. He is under 2 years old and really deserves to be in a home. A shelter is not a place for Dobby. Please consider adding Dobby to your home. Meet our 3 brindle pups from Stella's Snow White litter - Charming (male), Happy (male) and Bashful (female)! These beautiful pups are holiday babes - born 12/25/2025. They will not be adoptable until they are over 8 weeks old, but we are accepting applications now! These pups were owner surrenders and transferred to us with 7 siblings and their mom, Stella . Stella is a 75 pound mixed breed dog. She looks a lot like a black lab but probably has a few other breeds thrown in. We do not know the father of the litter. The litter is quite diverse, so who know what the mixes are. We can tell you to expect these kids to grow up to be medium to large sized dogs.
