Meet Moose, our 3 year old chocolate lab. He plays well with our current dog, but sometimes takes things too far. He's very energetic and loves to play! He has gone on the boat and loves to swim (even though he hates baths). Moose loves to run in open areas as he catches tennis balls and sticks. He currently struggles with aggression and it seems to be getting worse. He doesn't like being told no and tries to dominate my girlfriend. Anytime he is redirected he begins growling and tries to dominate. He can honestly be a good dog, but when he wants to be and when he doesn't think he's in trouble. He's all about being in control and has separation anxiety.

Sweet Ginger is being returned to us after being in a home about 5 months.  They loved her and are heartbroken but Ginger has high prey drive for free roaming chickens.  That being said she must have a secure fenced in yard, a privacy fence is preferred or at least one that is 5 ft high.  She seems to be fine with other dogs after a proper introduction including small ones.  Ginger could also flourish as an only dog as she loves her people.  She has not been around cats so we are unsure but based on her prey drive a home without cats would be best.   Children should be older and respectful.  Ginger is about 8 years old and 50 lbs, a nice manageable size. She is fully vetted and had a dental last fall.   Ginger is housetrained and loves to ride in the car.  She can be left with the run of the house while you are gone without issue.  Ginger has the most adorable smile, we think it is adorable.   If interested in Ginger, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.  Her adoption fee is $150.May 29, 2023, 3:11 pm

COME MEET ME AND MY FRIENDS at our next ADOPTION EVENT at Mitchell's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning (1750 Moore Road in Avon, Ohio) on Saturday, June 3rd from 11am - 2pm during their car show! We can't wait to meet you! Ruben is an approximately 6-month-old, 25-pound Lab mix that was in an over-crowded shelter in southern Ohio when Multiple Breed Rescue took him in to find him a furever home. Ruben is potty and crate trained. He is learning his manners and what he is allowed to chew on and what he is not. Ruben is dog and cat friendly but has not been around children. Ruben loves to play and does so enthusiastically. Ruben’s furever home should be active as he needs time to get his energy out. He would like a fenced yard but a secure tie-out would work with the ability to get his play time. Ruben loves all of the squeaky toys and enjoys getting his toys out of the toy box. Do you need a hiking, running or walking partner? If so, Ruben could be your guy! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: Approx 6 months Adoption fee: $450

How cute is Kira? She is a recent graduate from our prison training program and knows all her basic commands. She can sit, down, heel, stay, leave it, come and place. Her handler has only good things to say about her: Kira can be a little shy at first but once she gets to know you she is a very faithful companion. She is playful and loves to run and play fetch. She loves to lay around and cuddle, play outside, rarely barks and loves bath time. Kira is currently located at Grafton Reintegration Center. He loves to play with other dogs and when he's done showing off the obedience commands he knows, he's sure to make you laugh with his silly antics. Roo is nervous in new situations so he will need a family with some patience that will give him time and space to settle in his own pace. Gator is a recent graduate of our Prison Training Program where she learned her basic commands of sit, heel, touch, down, stay, place, come and finish. Gator loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy having a playmate to wrestle around with. Gator is higher energy, so would benefit from an active family. Gator is crate trained and housebroken. She has never known the love of a family in a home, so she will need time to settle in and realize she's found her forever. Gator's handler wrote this bio about her: "I am a lab mix and love to play ball and with other dogs. I had a rough start to life, but now I know all my commands. I am looking for my forever home to spend my life with you."
