Story
Dobby found himself homeless as a puppy and he had to be trapped with a humane trap since he did no really trust people. Can you blame him? He got tossed out probably for being a normal puppy. Anyway, Dobby has since recovered nicely, is a very sweet boy and he now loves people. He does need to be obedience trained, so a first time dog owner is not recommended. He is under 2 years old and really deserves to be in a home. A shelter is not a place for Dobby. Please consider adding Dobby to your home. Story
Rex is available for foster or foster to adopt while he finishes vetting. He was found under a car crying in the snow. His breed mix is unknown but has personality and tendencies of a Sloughi and resembles this breed. He is a happy and very energetic boy. He is housebroken and is doing good with his crate training. He has met a few cats and has not shown any aggression but just wants to play. Unfortunately, he plays a little too rough for a cat right now, so we are suggesting no cats. We do not recommend any children under 8 as he does jump a lot. He would probably benefit from with having a brother or sister to play with that could handle his energy level. On first meet, his energy is very overwhelming, but it's all in play. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, just wants love and to run and play! He will settle down after a while and becomes the perfect pup! No small dogs for him! If you would like to foster him or foster to adopt him. Please fill out an application at www.forgetmenotanimalrescue.weebly.comApril 16, 2026, 8:27 am

Story
Zeus is approximately 15-16 months old. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and on heartworm and flea prevention.  Zeus is good with other dogs but does take some time to warm up to "strangers". Give him about 15 minutes! We do suggest no cats or children under the age of 10. He's pretty exuberant and may scare children. He would love a doggy friend! He is very high energy due to his past. He is also a love bug and loves to snuggle once he calms down. He is crate trained and if there is another dog in the home, would do best with meals in his crate. He does guard toys and food from other dogs but not his humans! If you have the time and patience to give this baby boy his forever, best home, please fill out an application.March 7, 2026, 11:41 am

Story
Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Meet Chelsea — a sweet, golden-hearted senior looking for her forever home. Chelsea is a 10–12-year-old Golden mix who proves that age is just a number. This older gal still has plenty of joy left to share, especially when there’s snow to play in, a stuffed toy to toss around, or a good game of tug-of-war on the agenda. For an older gal Chelsea still has some speed behind her and if given the chance will run, so we recommend her future family have a fenced in yard. She’s a social lady who gets along well with other dogs and cats. She hasn’t been tested with children yet, so we’re not sure how she’d feel about tiny humans. Chelsea isn’t a big cuddler, but she truly loves being near her people—content to hang out in the same room and soak up your presence. Chelsea does have some hearing loss, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She’s potty trained and crate trained, and she’s currently working on polishing her leash manners. With a little patience and consistency, she’ll keep improving. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys playtime, peaceful togetherness, and snowy adventures, Chelsea might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring warmth, companionship, and a whole lot of heart into her next chapter. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training &; grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 11 years Adoption Fee: $200
