Sweet Ginger is being returned to us after being in a home about 5 months. They loved her and are heartbroken but Ginger has high prey drive for free roaming chickens. That being said she must have a secure fenced in yard, a privacy fence is preferred or at least one that is 5 ft high. She seems to be fine with other dogs after a proper introduction including small ones. Ginger could also flourish as an only dog as she loves her people. She has not been around cats so we are unsure but based on her prey drive a home without cats would be best. Children should be older and respectful. Ginger is about 8 years old and 50 lbs, a nice manageable size. She is fully vetted and had a dental last fall. Ginger is housetrained and loves to ride in the car. She can be left with the run of the house while you are gone without issue. Ginger has the most adorable smile, we think it is adorable. Lily is incredibly intelligent, and in being such, is very much a handful. She will literally speak up if she has anything to say, or at least she tries to. She is very loving, and thinks she's a baby sometimes, and that she is small enough to be a lap dog. But she's not, she grew very large very quick. We've worked with her on basic things, and when worked with she catches on quick to most things. The downside? She needs training with cats and being out and about. We tried walking trails with her several times, but we're not professionals and this behavior is a bit too much for us to handle. Also, very important that unless you're willing to put in the work, don't adopt Lily if you've got cats. Inside and out she is extremely reactive towards them. We've had her for a year and have been unable to remedy this issue. Our three senior cats have taken up hiding during the day, and it's causing major stress on them. Other than that, no food aggression or any other major issues.

UPDATE: Dewey has an adoption pending!! Meet Dewey!! Dewey is a 2 yr old Chocolate Lab weighing 78 lbs. Dewey is house-trained but not a fan of a crate. He knows his basic commands (sit, stay, down). He is very smart and learns fast. Dewey will counter surf if given the opportunity. He is great with all dogs he meets and does doggy daycare to help manage his young dog energy. Dewey will need a very active Lab loving family and a dog friend would be best for Dewey ;-). He is super sweet and lovable! We would love for him to have a fenced in yard, not electric, so he has freedom to run and play. Dewey is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Dewey loves to swim and he is great with all people he meets! If you are interested in Dewey, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Dewey would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Say hello to Renegade! This distinguished gentleman is a silver fox, at least in his face! This sweet black lab mix is a friendly, goofy boy that would love nothing more than to be your trusting companion and rest his head on your lap from time to time. Renegade's favorite past time you ask? Well he'd be happy laying upside down on the couch cuddled next to his favorite people watching whatever his humans want on TV. While we don't know his entire history, Renegade went through some trying times recently, and we've observed that many everyday activities in the outside world seem foreign and frightening to him. Walking on a leash is one of these activities. Although Renegade is getting much more comfortable walking on a leash, in new environments his nervousness gets the best of hm. Therefore; it is preferred that his forever home have a fenced in yard. Renegade is nervous around new people, but quickly warms up with a wagging tail, especially when you have a treat to offer, which he will take very gently. He is also house- and crate trained, so bringing him home and adjusting to your daily routine will be a breeze. Renegade is dog-friendly but doesn't seem interested in playing around much anymore. He would prefer to play and cuddle with his human friends. He could do well with another dog to follow their lead and gain more confidence but he'd be just fine on his own too. For Rocky's new home I wish that he has a caring owner that is able to get Rocky plenty of exercise and walks. I would like Rocky to have food, water, and shelter.
