I got Missy from a family who had to find a home for her due to eviction. She turned 6 November 1st. I am looking for a home that has a fenced in yard where she can run and play. She is very friendly and loyal. Please see below for more information. I am 74years old and live in Lorain Ohio. I need to rehome my 6 year old vizslador due to declining health issues. I am not able to care for her the way she needs to be. Her name is Missy. She is completely housebroken and has been spayed. She needs her shots updated which I can no longer afford. She does not like being alone or caged and has separation anxiety. She gets along with everyone including children. She does not do well with cats, but does get along with some dogs. She needs a home with yard where she can run and play. She has no health issues that I am aware of. She has been scratching which might be fleas, but I have not seen any on her. However, I am still treating her for fleas.

Sophie found herself at the local dog pound and was rescued from there. She has lots of energy and needs a fenced in yard. an experienced dog home would be best for her. Small children would not work for her since she is so energetic. Big kids would be better

Dobby found himself homeless as a puppy and he had to be trapped with a humane trap since he did no really trust people. Can you blame him? He got tossed out probably for being a normal puppy. Anyway, Dobby has since recovered nicely, is a very sweet boy and he now loves people. He does need to be obedience trained, so a first time dog owner is not recommended. He is under 2 years old and really deserves to be in a home. A shelter is not a place for Dobby. Please consider adding Dobby to your home. Miller is a loving 7-year-old chocolate lab with a heart as big as his soft brown eyes. He has been adored for the past six years and is truly the definition of a loyal companion. Miller is fully house-trained, gentle, and happiest when he can curl up beside you. Miller does have separation anxiety, so he needs a family who is home often and can give him the reassurance he needs. He takes daily Prozac, which helps him feel calmer and more secure. He also has chronic ear infections, so a family willing to keep up with his ear care will help him live his best, most comfortable life. With a toddler now in the home, his sensitive ears have become a concern for everyone so his current family is making the heartbreaking decision to find him a home better suited to his needs. Miller would shine in a low-stress environment without young children, with someone patient, loving, and comfortable providing ongoing vet care.

He absolutely loves people and can’t help getting excited when he meets someone new—he’s convinced everyone is a potential best friend. Snickers is potty trained, playful, and enjoys his Nylabones. He takes treats gently and never turns down a good game of fetch. With his energy and enthusiasm, he’d make a wonderful walking or jogging buddy and an all-around loyal companion. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!
