Story
Dobby found himself homeless as a puppy and he had to be trapped with a humane trap since he did no really trust people. Can you blame him? He got tossed out probably for being a normal puppy. Anyway, Dobby has since recovered nicely, is a very sweet boy and he now loves people. He does need to be obedience trained, so a first time dog owner is not recommended. He is under 2 years old and really deserves to be in a home. A shelter is not a place for Dobby. Please consider adding Dobby to your home. Visit our website and fill out an application and send it in to our email address. oasisanimalshelter.net oasisanimal@wmconnect.com

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Rusty is a 3-year-old Retriever/Hound mix with a heart as warm as his handsome copper coat. While he may have started out a little timid, this sweet boy has truly blossomed. Each day he grows more confident, more trusting, and more deeply bonded to his people. Rusty is the definition of loyal. If you leave the room, he’s right behind you. If you leave the house, you might hear a little whine letting you know he already misses you. He’s becoming the most adorable little shadow — and he wears the title proudly. This smart boy is eager to please and incredibly trainable. He already knows “sit,” walks nicely on leash (with just a little polishing needed), and is both crate-trained and potty-trained. With consistency and kindness, Rusty could learn just about anything — he truly wants to get it right. Rusty does well with other dogs and kids. He hasn’t met cats yet. He loves treats (who doesn’t?!) and is a true toy connoisseur — plushies, squeakers, balls… he appreciates them all and will happily show off his collection. When playtime winds down, you’ll likely find him curled up in the nearest dog bed, carefully selected Goldilocks-style until he finds the perfect one. Because Rusty has likely experienced some tough moments in his past, he can be sensitive to loud voices. He thrives in a calm, patient home where he feels safe and understood. In return, he gives the sweetest kisses, the gentlest affection, and a loyalty that runs deep. Rusty isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for his person. Someone who wants a devoted companion, a gentle soul, and a best friend who will follow them anywhere. If you’re ready for unconditional love (and a very cute shadow), Rusty is ready for you. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit. Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. Update: Lexi has her forever home! Lexi is a beautiful, sweet Black Lab mix. She is small at 47 lbs. Lexi is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly preventatives. She was found as a stray with her brothers Luke and Duke. Lexi is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit" but will need some basic training. Lexi is very smart and learns fast. She loves other dogs and is currently in doggie day care at Paws by the Lake. She is a little shy at first but once she gets to know you - she is your best friend! Lexi would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, not electric. If you are interested in Lexi, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Lexi would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $200.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. Update: Luke has his forever home! Meet Luke! Luke is a super sweet and smart Lab Shepard mix. He is 60 lbs and approx. 9 months old. Luke is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Luke was found as a stray with his brother and sister, Duke and Lexi, also posted for adoption. Luke is eager to please his human and very trainable. Luke is in a fantastic foster home and has learned all his basic commands; sit, paw, heel and stop. He will sit patiently in his place for his food and is working on new commands daily. Luke walks well on lead and loves to play fetch. Luke is crate trained and goes to his crate well. He sleeps in it overnight and surprisingly likes to sleep in! He is housebroken too. Luke has energy spurts and zoomies like all young dogs, but for the most part he is happy playing with a toy at your feet, or cuddles up for long naps in your lap or his favorite spot. He is pretty low key for a 9 month old dog. Luke will chew on items left on the floor (a house is a new environment for him) but he is quickly learning what he can and can’t have. For now, though, he can’t be left free in the house unattended so he should be crated. Luke would do well with another dog or a bustling family with kids or a couple that has time to play! He’s a pretty adaptable dog. If you are interested in Luke, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Luke would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process.
