Story
Meet Angie — the puppy who thinks "no lap left behind" is a lifestyle. At 3–4 months old, this black lab mix is mostly legs, a little wiggly, and a whole lot of heart. She comes in shy but warms up fast — in an instant she's handing out kisses like they're going out of style and will be quietly assuming that your lap is her lap. Too big? She genuinely cannot imagine what you mean. What makes Angie special is how easy she is. No chewing through your furniture. No 3am zoomies. She definitely has puppy energy, but no dramatic destruction. She figured out "potty outside" almost immediately and has been a rockstar at not having accidents. She's the rare puppy who seems to have skipped most of the chaos stage. She does have feelings about the crate. Nothing crazy, just some whining. She loves her people and cannot fathom why a closed door should exist between them. (She would also like you to know that the big bed looks very comfortable and she'd be happy to test it for you when it comes to bedtime.) Angie thoroughly enjoys playing with other doggos and would love to have a 'big' brother or sister to romp with her. When she's done though, she's equally happy sprawled out for an afternoon nap with her foster pals. Basically, she fits right into a pack like she was always part of it. While Angie is a completely gentle love bug, she is a bit of scaredy cat with new people. She'll usualy freeze and give a little growl until she knows she's safe. If they show her just a little kindness, she opens up quickly and is very receptive. We expect she'll do even better with more opportunities to socialize.  A few extra details worth knowing: she has webbed feet (future swim star, very 'lab' forward there). She's 'retrieved' squeeky toys but hasn't shown interest in the ball yet. She has a glossy black coat with a little spash of white on her chin and chest, and a tail that wags so enthusiastically it had to be bandaged to protect her from herself. That tail doesn't lie, Angie is one happy girl. She has been a great little car rider, and is learning how fun neighborhood walks are (she does well on her own and has been hiking, but has a lot more confidence when with another dog). Jumping (occasional, not constant) is a work in progress.  Videos of Angie:  https://youtube.com/shorts/-7eir5pwcps?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/Yfr_askO4uY?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/swXcECyVHEU?feature=share Estimated adult weight: 45–60 lbs of devoted, easygoing companion. Housebreaking is going VERY well as mentioned but still fresh. Like any pup, she'll need to be let out frequently with consistency and patience as she keeps building those good habits. An active home that loves to play and snuggle will be her sweet spot. Angie bonds fast and loves hard. She's not looking for a temporary layover, she's looking for her forever family. Adoption Fee: $400. This includes her spay, microchip, deworming, all recommended puppy vaccines for her age and current prevention. Apply at https://pawsandprayers.org/adoption-application/ If you have further questions about this pup, you can email their foster home at 4leggedlayover@gmail.com Please note that only applications submitted through our website using the link above are valid. Story
Please contact Marty (marty@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Watch his YouTube video!! Guess who showed up to our adoption event this weekend and totally rocked it? Four year old Mellow did such a great job, and  h is tail did not stop wagging once! It was my first experience hanging out with this 61 lb boy , and I must say he did impress me. I LOVE him!! He is very treat motivated and knows sit , shake , down, and had a trainer that worked with him on manners too. He is house trained, crate trained, and would love a fenced in yard to romp and play in. Yay!!! He can do well with other dogs, (meet and greets are always required ) but he must be fed separatel y and we are asking for only older children that understand leaving a dog alone during feeding time. Easy Peasy!!    His adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and endless love from a well deserving dog. Please  fill out an application at pawsandprayers.org  if you would like to be considered to adopt Mellow, and email  marty@pawsandprayers.org with any questions,  Mellow has the potential to be an exceptional companion and friend. He is going through training and responding very well, thanks to Hollee. Check out how well he is doing by scanning the QR code or click the link to watch https://youtu.be/jG0_bUjo9rI This pet qualifies for the Pets for Patriots program  https://www.petsforpatriots.org/veterans/    February 6, 2026, 10:54 am

Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Clio! Clio is a 3 month old lab mix. Clio is a typical wiggly puppy. She loves to play, snuggle, and cozy up for a nap. Since she’s a young girl, Clio’s new family will need to be prepared to take on puppy-antics like house training and leash training. Clio is crate trained. She is friendly with other pups and would adopt to kids and cats. Her adoption fee is $400.  All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping.  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org.     February 22, 2026, 10:39 am

Story
Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Meet Puppy Hoagie! Hoagie is 6-7 months old and already weighs a whopping 66lbs! This big boy is so sweet and your typical happy go lucky puppy. He seems to get along with other dogs just fine and has not met cats/kids in our care. Given his demeanor, we believe he would be fine with children who can withstand puppy antics. Hoagie’s breeds are a guess on our part based on looks alone. Hoagie is currently staying at our shelter so we cannot say whether or not he’s housebroken, his new family should be prepared to take on house training.  His adoption fee is $375. His adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm test/prevention, and flea/tick prevention. If you are interested in Hoagie, please fill out an adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.orgFebruary 24, 2026, 4:28 am

Story
Bandit is a one year old boy who is ready to wiggle his cute self right into your heart and home!  He's such a handsome fella, with soft fur you can run your fingers through. He has been at a couple of adoption events and has shown how much he loves people, and does good with meeting other dogs too. If you have treats in your hand he will always sit, and this is great because it's fun training a dog who is treat motivated!! Bandit is a fun ball of energy, and will need some loving guidance with leash training. He is neutered, up to date on shots including rabies, and microchipped. To adopt him please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org. He is 55 pounds and needs some leash training but sticks with his person. His adoption fee is $300, Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org. He is with a foster right now who has numerous pets so if you are looking for a nice foster, you might consider Bandit as he is the full package.  February 18, 2026, 8:23 am
