******************COURTESY POST ************************ Jimmy was found as a stray at a very young age with a horrible skin condition. He was immediately taken into a rescue in Costa Rica where a long recovery started. Jimmy has fully recovered into a gorgeous boy and wants to be with a forever family. He is a bit shy at first but with lots of treats he will be your best friend. Jimmy is a 2 year old, male, lab/greyhound mix, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, utd vaccinations, Snap 4dx, good with dogs, no cats, friendly to all, and simply needs a second chance. If interested, please email Sheila at sheilawork1605@gmail.com. *************** COURTESY POST************************

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.VENUS hails from Cat Lake and came south with her 6 puppies in search of a better life. She’s been spayed, vaccinated including her rabies, microchipped and been given a clean bill of health by her vet. We’ve just made an educated guess as to her breeds as unfortunately we have no info on her parentage. She’s a very gentle loving girl who was a wonderful nurturing mum to her puppies. However, she definitely has an energetic side to her too especially when it comes to playing outside.  VENUS is crate trained and sleeps soundly in it at night and will also go in it during the day for a nap. She’s a true northern girl as she has lots of energy for running around and playing outside  in the yard with the two resident dogs but when she comes inside the home, she relaxes quietly on her dog bed where she enjoys chewing on her bone or rubber toys. She’s very good with eating around the other dogs in the home and will sit calmly for her food or treats.  VENUS loves to be around people and to have reassurance that she’s loved. She’ll snuggle with you on the couch or lay right beside your feet. For this reason she would best suit having someone home for a good part of the day with her. She loves going on walks but would benefit from some formal leash training as if she gets excited she will pull. She has never met a cat so we wouldn’t recommend her being in a home with one. She has met children and was very good with them and we’re recommending they should be aged 6 and up and should have large breed dog experience. Her ideal family would be one that loves the outdoors as much as she does and enjoys walking and hiking on the trails too. She travels really well in a vehicle and would always be up for a road trip that leads to an adventure or two. She is housetrained and will let you know when she needs to go outside to use the bathroom. If you would like to meet VENUS then please put in an adoption application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2024, 6:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CASANOVA hails from CAT LAKE in Northern Ontario and he came south with his mum and 5 siblings to find his forever home. His mum is a Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix and weighs 60lbs but his dad is unknown. The breed mix we have him listed as and the size he’ll grow to be is just a guess as we really have no way of knowing. He’s had his first and second sets of puppy vaccines, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by our vet. He’s curious, loving and a little sensitive. He needs some encouragement with trying new things and will always stand back and let one of the other dogs test it out first. He’s a chatty boy with that stubborn Husky streak to him and he loves nothing better than giving out puppy kisses and snuggles.  CASANOVA is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night in it, he will also take his naps in there during the day. His house training is going well and he’s virtually had no accidents in the home as of late. He walks well on his leash and he really enjoys going on his walks. He’s a well socialized and energetic little puppy who loves to play with toys and chase the resident dogs around. He would love to find a family that will take him on walks, hikes and basically enjoy being outside with him. He travels well in a vehicle so will always be ready to head out on an adventure with you. He hasn’t met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy and with a monitored introduction they should get along. Children should be aged 10 and up and he does require a fenced-in yard. Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need his potential adopter to be in agreement to sign him up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt him. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and will be performed at the Barrie SPCA by the time he’s 8 months of age or reaches 60lbs (whichever comes first.) We also need you to be in agreement with this in order to adopt him.  If you would like to meet CASANOVA then please submit the adoption application to do so. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2024, 6:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ROMEO hails from CAT LAKE in Northern Ontario and he came south with his mum and 5 siblings to find his forever home. His mum is a Labrador Retriever/Gt Pyrenees mix and weighs 60lbs but his dad is unknown. The breed mix we have him listed as and the size he’ll grow to be is just a guess as we really have no way of knowing. He’s had his first and second sets of puppy vaccines, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by our vet. His nick name is Chunk due to being the biggest in the litter. He’s a happy-go-lucky, confident and fun loving guy who loves nothing better than giving out puppy kisses and cuddling with you.  ROMEO is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it through the night and will also take his naps in there during the day. His house training is going well and he has very few accidents in the house now and when taken out for a bathroom break he will usually go. He’s doing well on his leash and really enjoys going on walks. He’s a well socialized energetic puppy who loves to play with with all sorts of toys and play chase with the resident dogs in his foster home. He would love to find a family who will take him on walks, hikes and basically enjoy being outside with him. He does okay in a vehicle but it’s not his favourite place to be and a couple of times he’s been in one he’s had an upset tummy. He hasn’t met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy and with a monitored introduction they should get along okay. Children should be aged 6 and up and he does require a fenced-in yard. Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PEPSI hails from Deer Lake in Northern Ontario and came south with his 2 siblings (Tizer and Ribena) in search of his forever home. He’s had his 3 sets of puppy vaccines including his rabies, is microchipped and has now been deemed healthy by his vet and ready to find his family. The breeds that we have him noted as are just a guess as is the weight he’ll grow be as an adult. This loving little guy has the most beautiful red brindle coat that makes him stand out and look pretty unique.  PEPSI is crate trained and sleeps quietly in a covered one through the night plus he’ll take a daytime nap in it as well. He’s full of energy and he’s an intelligent little guy who’s already learning the fundamental commands and loves to show how smart he is. He will retrieve a ball for you as long as you are willing to keep throwing it for him. He’s a real charmer and you won’t be able to resist his personality. He has a zest for showing you how loving he is by giving you lots of cuddles and kisses. He’s well socialized with other dogs and he has 2 large dogs in his foster home and spends lots of time playing and chasing with them outside. He loves to go on walks and gets excited when he knows he’s going on one. He’s good on his leash but like all puppies he does pull and likes to run ahead of you. He’s never met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy plus a proper introduction is made then they should get along. He requires a fenced-in yard so he can be kept safe and we recommend children be 6 and up for him.  PEPSI’s housetraining is going really well and he’s 99% there as he’ll let you know when he has to go out by giving a little cry. He takes his treats “gentle” and always sits for them plus his meals. His ideal family is one that will take him on lots of walks and hikes. He loves the outdoors and travels well in a vehicle so will always be up for an adventure or two. He would do best with an owner that isn’t working long days away from the home as he’s used to someone being around with him most of the day.  PEPSI is a survivor of the Parvo virus but he pulled through it just fine and you would never know how sick the virus made him especially when you watch him play and show off his zest for life. We suggest you talk to your veterinarian about this virus but we do feel it’s not going to affect his life at all other than you may want to feed him a good brand of GI kibble.  Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need his adopter to be in agreement to sign him up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt him.  His neuter is included in his adoption fee and as per our rescue policy, will be performed by around 8 months of age or by the time he’s 60lbs (whichever comes first.) We also need you to be in agreement with this in order to adopter him.  If you would like to meet PEPSI then please fill out the adoption application to do so. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2024, 6:57 pm
