Meet Chloe: Independent, Loyal, and Just the Right Amount of Sassy
Chloe is a 7-year-old Labrador mix who’s mastered the art of companioning on her own terms. She’s the kind of dog who’ll greet your guests with her signature full-body tail wag, soak up the attention like a sponge and then quietly vanish to nap on a different floor for some well-earned alone time. That’s Chloe: affectionate and loyal, but also fiercely independent. She’s house-trained, non-destructive, and you can leave her home alone without a crate—no whining, no accidents, just peaceful naps and a happy reunion when you return!
At home, she’s chill - Chloe doesn’t seek out furniture cuddles (she prefers the cool floor), and while she’s not reactive on walks, she will bark once or twice if someone knocks on the door. During the workday, she happily snoozes while her foster mom works remotely—and on office days, she’s a social butterfly, trotting the halls and charming coworkers with her tennis ball in tow. Chloe's a fetch queen and will drop her ball at your feet with laser focus, ready for round two… or twelve. And she adores car rides, especially with the windows cracked so she can sniff the world.
Like all of us, Chloe also has her quirks. She isn’t one for sharing when it comes to food or toys with other dogs—she’ll resource guard if pushed, and she’ll speak up with a snap if another dog crowds her space. She’s also got that classic Lab appetite, too, and might try her luck in the kitchen if she thinks you’re feeling generous. She’s currently living with another pup and doing well with supervision and clear boundaries, but she’d be perfectly content as your one-and-only pet. Just give her a backyard to rule and some tennis balls to chase, and she’s golden.
What makes her shine is how easily she fits in once she knows you're her person. She learns routines quickly, greets everyone with joy, and remembers old friends with the kind of tail-wagging gusto that melts hearts. One of her foster mom’s favorite moments? The time Chloe’s leash accidentally slipped from her hand—and Chloe just stood by her side, refusing to leave. That's loyalty you can’t teach!
