Story
ZENA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! Zena is a 6 year old lab mix. She was found chained up outside with her 9 newborn puppies at Sardis Lake. The puppies were scattered around during a heavy rainstorm, and she could not reach them. She was severely underweight and heartworm positive when she entered the rescue. She is now 50lbs and heartworm negative! She has come a long way. Zena is house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggy door. She is very loving and craves attention from her people, so she would be fine as an only dog. She does get along well with her furry siblings in the foster home, but she does take time to warm up, so we recommend slow introductions. She is a very active dog and loves to play outside with her foster siblings. She has come such a long way and would love nothing more than a furever home. She has been known to jump a fence, so a tall 6ft wooden fence is recommended to keep her from taking an occasional stroll after a squirrley friend.    Zena has had all of her shots, as well as rabies vaccination, is spayed, and microchipped. Zena is ready to meet and bond with her furever family. Zena's adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to PA.   We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Zena up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  You can apply to adopt her here:   http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Mars is a sweet, velvet-coated puppy that is so ready to spend the new year with his forever family!💕 Mars’ foster mom loves the way he carries around a blanket in his mouth while walking around her house. She says he has a fun and adventurous attitude and looks at her with the sweetest eyes, as if to say “I love you” with his face. 🥰 This handsome boy is about 6 months old and a black lab mix. He has gangly legs and a sweet little snout. He is smart and friendly and gets along with every pup and human he meets! He is a little shy in new places, but with the help of another confident pup, he warms up quickly and is ready to have some fun!🐾 Mars is crate trained and learning to walk on his leash! He is a quiet boy that doesn’t talk much and has wonderful manners. He is a companion dog that will stick right by his human! He likes to jump and romp around the backyard with the other pups in his foster home and he thinks the trampoline is SO fun! 🐶 In his forever home, Mars needs a fenced-in backyard so he can run and play. He definitely needs another dog to play with and show him the ropes. Other than that, he is an easy-to-please pup that’s just looking for a family to love❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Judd is a sweet and shy teenage pup that wants to be your new best friend❤️ This stunning boy has officially entered the “teenage phase” which is one of our favorites. He has the basics down pat: knows how to walk on leash, is fully potty trained, crate trained, and loves other dogs! Basically he’s a total “good boi!”🐶 Judd spins around and around when it’s time for dinner - this boy loves some food! His mom calls it his “helicopter spins” and says it is the CUTEST thing! He loves to play tug-of-war, chase balls, and lounge in the backyard. Judd has a big personality and once he warms up, he will show you what he’s all about! His foster mom is working on socializing him with trips to the park, Home Depot and visits with friends and his confidence is already growing! He is WONDERFUL with other dogs and clearly gains confidence when around other bold pups!🐾 Judd’s foster mom says his tail wags constantly & she calls him her “happy happy dog” when he’s in his safe space and comfortable in his surroundings. He is looking for a forever home that is patient with his shyness and gives him time to come around, and he insists that he has a confident brother or sister, too! He is hopeful for a fenced in yard where he can romp and sunbathe☀️ If Judd sounds like the one for you, please apply to chat with his foster mama! Story
Age: 2 years Size: 62 lbs Estimated breed: Labrador retriever/Pit bull mix   Banjo was found as a stray with a female dog in rural South Carolina, happily trotting along the road without a care in the world. They were picked up by animal control and taken to the overcrowded shelter, but no owners ever stopped forward for them. His female friend was adopted from the shelter, leaving Banjo all alone. He quickly became a staff favorite and was used as the designated dog tester dog. He joined multiple play groups with all different kind of dogs and impressed volunteers with his easy going, friendly personality!    Banjo is now safe in a foster home with us while he waits for a forever home! He is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 62 lbs. He is a super handsome boy who we are guessing is some kind of labrador retriever/pit bull terrier mix, but we can never know for sure! He is incredibly friendly and easy-going and has a perfect temperament to be a family dog. He is a big oversized puppy who is still learning his manners, but he's very food motivated and eager to please. He has met dogs of all shapes and sizes and is incredibly social and friendly with them all. Banjo is a total love who deserves the absolute best forever home!    To adopt Banjo, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. Story
Meet Lucy Belle 🐾 Sweet Lucy is a ten month old German Shorthair Pointer mix. She is a happy, healthy girl who loves to play!! 🎾 Lucy has been with a family since she was a young puppy and they love her very much but she is too playful for the senior dog in the home. Her family wants her to have another dog more her energy level to play with. 🐕 Lucy would be great with an active couple who likes to hike or run. She really loves children so a home with older children would also be a great fit. 👫 Lucy is house trained and settles well after a busy day of playing and walks. A fenced yard is definitely a must so Lucy Belle can get out her zoomies and have a safe place to play. Lucy would also be a great candidate for agility training or possibly a fly ball star ⭐️ So if this precious girl sounds like a perfect fit for your family, then please submit an adoption application. Lucy Belle is already planning her next fun adventure, maybe it will be with you. 🥰

Story
⭐️ Rhysand 🐾 “To the stars that listen, and the dreams that are answered” - Rhysand, ACOTAR Rhysand, known as “Rhys,” is a 16 week old golden/lab mix that was pulled from death row in Etowah County. He reached “the good life” at his foster home, where he was ready to heal from sarcoptic mange and his heavy parasite load… only for him and his 2 siblings to break with parvo 24 hours later. After a week long battle, two of his siblings fought hard but unfortunately didn’t make it, and one day his foster mom (who was sleeping with him on an air mattress every night) looked at him and realized that he was going to be the survivor. And survive, he did!❤️ Rhys had spent the time since he recovered being the puppy he always wanted to be. He is a wild child, as he deserves to be! He loves food, playing in the water, zoomies and other dogs. But his favorite animal is the kitten in his home, his best friend. They play HARD so while he is good with cats, he will only be a fit for a home with “dog cats.” 🐱 This handsome boy is crate trained, mostly house trained, and walks well on a leash. He loves to spend his days playing outside, chewing on a good bone (or shoe) and terrorizing the other dogs in the house 😆 he prefers to spend his weekends on the water! He is a boat dog and would likely be a great kayaking dog too. He loves to feel the wind in his ears and water on his paws 🐾 Rhysand is adored by his foster family, and they will only let him go to the most perfect family. He had the hardest start to his life, and deserves for the rest of it to be out of a fairytale. If you think your family can provide the adventure he deserves, please apply 👇🏼 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
