PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 1/31/26 Still available! 1/8/26 Balki is a super sweet and loving boy who is good with everyone-cats, dogs, and kids. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He weighs 40 lbs. We do not know his breed but our best guess is Lab mix. He has long legs and a slim build. He loves other dogs and does well with cats.  Great with kids! He is about 6 months old.  He had a very hard start in life. He was in a shelter where he contracted parvo virus and barely survived. But he fought hard to live and he won! He beat the dreaded parvo and is now regaining weight and doing so well! He is a great little guy who likes everyone. We believe he may have been dumped before he ended up at the shelter because he is scared of cars. When walking on leash, if he is near a car or truck, he gets visibly scared and will try to pull away. Once he is inside the car he does fine. He just has some emotional scars that are still healing. But he's getting better all the time, thanks to a foster helping him feel safe.  He will likely be a big boy once grown. He is a little delayed in his growth due to having parvo, but he will catch up soon. We believe he will be around 60 lbs once grown. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Balki is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.1/17/26 Angel is a 32lb 5 1/2 month old hound mix. She is the sibling of Theo and Andi. She is the smallest out of her litter. We named her Angel because that is what she is. She craves for attention and just wants to make you happy. She is playful and sweet. When we rescued angel and her siblings she was wrapped around a tree with less than a foot of lead she couldn’t lay down, or even sit and definitely couldn’t get into her house when it was freezing cold at the time and let alone food or water which they didn’t have. When we rescued her she was so appreciative it felt like she was hugging me to say thank you. Just like Theo and Andi she gets a long great with our goats and tortoise, she is not as interested in the chickens or cats like Andi and Theo which they have not interacted with. She is will be a great family member. Good with kids and other dogs.  She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Located in Arkansas. Andi is the most independent one out of her litter. She is a toy/tool thief if you turn your back she will steal whatever you have. She is grateful just like her siblings and loves to get loved on just not as attention seeking as her siblings. She will talk to you either with a bark or some kind of noise. She gets along with the goats and tortoise but is very interested in the cats and chickens but have never interacted she isn’t as interested at Theo but they def catch her attention. Just like Theo and angel she too was left abandoned with no food or water, chained to a tree and could not reach her house in the freezing temperatures at that time. She will make a great family member. Good with kids and other dogs.  She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Located in Arkansas. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Last post of the night! (I think)Meet Vesla! This gorgeous girl was rescued just before the ice storm hit. She is a young lady at about 8-10 months old. She is an incredibly sweet girl who does great with other dogs, cats, and kids. She’s currently learning to potty outside and making good progress. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but once she feels comfortable, she turns into a total cuddle bug. She bonds quickly with other dogs and loves following them everywhere, making her a wonderful companion for a multi-pet home. She’s playful, affectionate, and absolutely loves belly and chin rubs. With a little patience and love, she’ll steal your heart in no time. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Vesla is located in Arkansas.
