Raya comes from a great loving home. My brother is very ill and cannot continue to care for her. Raya is amazing when it comes to showing affection. She is extremely loving playfull and loves being around other pets and children. She has proven to be a great companion. Heads up, Raya will sit on your lap and place her loving head on your shoulder. Raya loves to run and play catch. Warning: If you are looking for a boring non affectionate dog, Raya is not the one. Raya is guaranteed to win you over. We are located in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Story
Lily: mixed breed (unknown), 1 year old. She is spayed and up-to-date on shots. This bright and ambitious girl is house-broken and crate-trained. Lily loves to play with other dogs and go on walks. She rides well in a vehicle, and her attention is on her human while walking on a leash. Although she is shy and skittish around new people, with a little patience and time, she warms up and wants to be with her human. Due to her boundless energy level, I recommend a fenced yard for her to run around in or an owner who will walk her several times daily. Follow-up training (with Canine Services By Devin) is suggested to keep Lily going in a positive direction and eventually off-leash training if desired. Lily is being fostered in Spring Grove, PA. Story
A long time ago in a shelter not so far away… one amazing pup began her search for a forever family. Meet Nellie — the loyal companion you’ve been looking for this May the 4th!  At 1.5 years old and around 45 pounds, this mixed-breed Jedi is strong with the Force of love, fun, and family. Nellie is on a mission to bring balance to your galaxy with endless affection, playful adventures, and unwavering loyalty. Younglings? Nellie absolutely adores them. She’s happiest when surrounded by her tiny humans, whether she’s zooming through the yard, soaking up belly rubs, cruising in the car like the co-pilot she was born to be, or sunbathing like she rules the Rebel base. Trained, she is: House-trained Crate-trained Knows several commands Takes treats with Jedi-level gentleness Nellie’s manners are as impressive as her heart. She enters her crate for treats without resistance and settles in peacefully—no Dark Side drama here.  She enjoys humans of all ages and can join forces with friendly, playful dogs who appreciate her energetic, rough-and-tumble style. Rebel briefing: Nellie’s prey drive means no small creatures in her galaxy, and farm life is not her destiny.  Spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, Nellie is fully equipped and ready to travel to her forever home. If your family is searching for a brave, loving, toy-chasing sidekick, Nellie may be the chosen one. May the Fourth be with you… and may Nellie be with you too.   Waiting in Harrisburg, PA New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736  We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. She likes to snuggle and sit on your foot. She doesn't like to be alone for too long because she loves her people. I can't give her the attention she needs any more. I live by myself and I will very soon have to be gone to work for 11 hours every day. Lexi can't go to doggy day care because she is afraid of/reactive to dogs and cats. She needs to be somewhere with people and no dogs or cats. I hope someone can help. She is very healthy, but I am afraid that if she goes to a shelter (especially in Prince George's County) that she would be anxious and unhappy and wouldn't live very long. Please foster or adopt this sweetie pie.'Lexi is currently in Greenbelt, MD.Please contact: Charlie Kendall  email: charles.kendall@verizon.net Phone: 301-922-8220Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 16, 2026, 8:28 pm

George was initially with us years ago as a young pup and was brought back in August of last year due to his owner's medical state. He is a beautiful boy with low/medium energy who loves to lounge but can appreciate an occasional walk around the neighborhood for some sniffs. He prefers the company of humans but does fine with low energy dogs as he does not like to get very rowdy. George is very smart, and would do best in a home with a fence WITHOUT a flip-style latch, as he uses his nose as a tool!   Are you looking for a loyal and friendly dog to nap with? Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Poppy is a great all around family dog and one who you will be proud to call 'Our girl.' Her foster says 'She is a total sweetheart', and she gave us a great write up on Poppy, so you can get to know her before you ever see her.  Poppy is happiest when lying in the sun or napping next to you on the couch. She also likes to sleep at the end of the bed next to your feet.  She is completely housetrained and has never had an accident in the house (she currently enjoys the freedom of a fenced in yard for potty breaks). She will let you know when it is time to play with her tennis ball or go for her daily walk to explore the neighborhood by giving you a look and a bark. Unfortunately, she has issues with smaller dogs and has bitten them when provoked or feeling jealous, so no smaller dogs in her new family. She plays well with bigger dogs and goes to doggy daycare twice a week for socialization, where the staff absolutely adores her. She currently lives with a 70lb coonhound mix who she likes to play with. Poppy came to us three years ago with severe separation anxiety issues but has come a long way and does well for a few hours in her “indestructible” crate – just give her a peanut butter-filled Kong and she will do okay while you go out for a bit. Poppy is looking for a home where she can be the center of your world and she will repay you with unconditional love and companionship. What makes Poppy great… ·         Relatively low energy dog who just enjoys being with her owner(s). She has bouts of energy and will want to play fetch but never for too long. ·         Zero food aggression. She eats when she is hungry, and she loves to savor her treats and thinks ice cubes are the best treat ever! ·         Loves to go on walks and they don’t have to be super long – 10-15 minutes a night keeps her happy, but will happily join you on a longer walk when possible. ·         LOVES people and will happily greet your guests with enthusiasm. She has been around small children with no issues. ·         Well socialized with dogs her size or bigger by going to doggy daycare twice a week (and will be zonked out all night after a day of playing). However, she seems to be more interested in people than other dogs in general. ·         Knows basic commands like sit, shake and come. ·         She is great in cars. She will chill out in the back seat and just enjoy the view. ·         Overall very healthy with no major issues. Where Poppy has some challenges… ·         Separation anxiety – would not do well for long days without someone home – highly recommended that she be crated while alone to avoid any damage to property. ·         Aggression toward smaller dogs – when feeling jealous or annoyed. ·         Good on leash but could use more training/reinforcement as she will get overly excited (pulling, barking) when she sees another dog.   Full of life and love, she is all ready to be yours. She has had a complete vetting and has all her shots. All she needs now to complete her world is for you to clip on your leash, bend over, and say 'Let's go home, Poppy'. If you are interested in Poppy, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 15, 2026, 12:05 am

Story
This handsome shy at first fella is 3 years old, weighs 63 pounds is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Holmes is great with kids, good with other dogs and loves to CHASE cats 🐈. He has had his DNA done by his previous owner who returned him for destructive behavior and major separation anxiety. Holmes is Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Beagle and a few other breeds. Holmes has seen our vet and has been placed on Prozac. We were told he has broke out of many crates, so to keep him safe we placed a crate inside of a crate and have had no issues at all. We believe a tired dog is a good dog so Holmes does go on a few walks everyday weather permitting and plenty of playtime. Holmes is not the best on a leash but he is getting better....part of it really isn't his fault... it's that Beagle nose he has ❤️ Holmes has started training with Canine Services By Devin and will continue to get direction from them to keep him moving in the right direction. If you have the patience and time Holmes needs to continue to grow in a positive loving home please submit a application. Holmes is being fostered in Hanover Pa.
