Story
Shadow is said to be good with older kids but can be rough around smaller children. She prefers male dogs and should not be paired with a female. She is learning to walk on a leash and will require patience. Shadow would benefit from consistent and positive training. She is ready for adventures on beaches, trails and anywhere else that her people take her.

Story
Notes from Mark(dog walker): big boy Cody needs a strong owner and lots of space to run. He does well with treats and commands and does well on walk with a harness. However is a big puller and could be a challenge for a smaller adult. Does well on a outdoor run and then a walk on a very short leash with commands of heal and structure. Big love.

Meet Nala! https://youtube.com/shorts/XcS2urOs6Tk?feature=share If you've been looking for a little lady who THRIVES with other dogs you found her. Or looking for a water dog? This little girl will swim from sun up to sun down if you let her! This sweet girls has been awaiting her forever home for nearly TWO YEARS! https://youtu.be/_OI1kiMUdvM Nala is an amazing dog and would be perfect for a calm home that needs a cuddly shadow! She loves to run with her pack and splash with the fishies and - most of all - would love to sit next to you while you work, curl up on the couch for movie nights and take neighborhood strolls.  https://youtu.be/47zf8PljMjQ Nala is leash trained, house trained, and crate trained. She is a quiet, calm and confident dog - not food aggressive at all and very little barking. Nala is looking for a home where she can be a sister to another dog. She is great in a  pack! She has found that she really loves running around in the yard chasing and being chased. She would also love to be pampered, cuddled, and have some fun with a sibling.  In the eveniings, Nala is a great couch potato and lap sitter. She was found abandoned on a rural road in Texas and likely had been trying to make it on her own for some time. When she came to Three Little Pitties Rescue she was emaciated, frightened, skittish, and shut-down. Like many abandoned and stray animals, Nala avoided contact and felt most comfortable in a corner. After several months in a therapeutic foster home, Nala started to trust her foster family and began showing progress towards self-confidence.  https://youtu.be/udrK_ZNpurE We brought Nala back to Three Little Pitties for a reassessment and all the office staff were delighted at her progress. Nala displayed growing confidence and comfort with other dogs as well as humans. She sniffed and was sniffed, wandered around the office, checked out the other dogs, asked for more pets, and was not interested in corners! This young girl has made an amazing turn-around from frightened to confident, from alone to a member of the pack! And now, our beloved Nala Jane, is ready to join your pack! Nala really needs other dogs in the home. Most of her confidence comes from having other pups present. She also needs a yard or acerage as she's an explorer. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lady Liberty (Libby) is a sweet, sensitive girl who is longing for a comfy couch to spend her days with you! She is a 3 year old catahoula/boxer mix and She is the perfect girl for someone who is looking for an adventure companion or for a friend to sunbathe in the backyard! Libby is right under 59 lbs and is 50% old soul - happy to lie in the sun or stretch out calmly in the house; and, 50% playful young dog. She knows some of her basic commands, sit, down and belly crawl, etc. She is a good listener and is very treat motivated so she is quick to learn new commands. Libby walks well on a leash and enjoys going out for walks on the trails. She rides well in the car and gets very excited when she knows she is getting ready to go for a car ride. Libby is house trained and crate trained but will sometimes whine in her crate but quickly calms down. Everyone who meets Libby is blown away by how sweet she is! She will immediately turn over for a belly rub and give all sorts of love. We've taken her to adoption events where she soaks in all the love and thrives being the center of attention. She is a social butterfly at heart! Libby is a medium to large size dog who loves to sunbathe, stretch out on her back for tummy scratches and loves ear rubs. She is such a loving dog and just wants someone who will love her in return - quirks and special needs included, as much as she can love them. Libby will do best as the only dog or with a calm dog that can give her plenty of space. She would also do best in a home with older children. Libby LOVES food! She gets very excited when her food is being scooped and prepped and has a hard time controlling her excitement so the best time to prep her food is while she is outside enjoying the backyard. Libby started her life in rural Texas. Before long, it became apparent to her owners that she has some vision limitations. Their solution to this disability was to neglect her and then abandon her. Libby was found wandering the back roads of Waller County, Texas, emaciated and terribly frightened. Due to poor breeding, Libby suffers from a genetic eye condition that affects her vision. We know Libby is able to see some things, however, we are unsure precisely what and how much. She gets around very well when she is in a familiar enviornment, especially around the house. Libby’s ability to navigate the life around her when in new enviornments demonstrates that her spatial understanding is affected: she will use her body to determine where she is. Libby started off with nothing and deserves only the best: nothing less than a happily-ever-after life with a loving, warm and understanding family.  Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/login/application/62cc8e128b02916730334440 Email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org for more info Available for adoption in NV, UT, ID, OR, WA and Canada! Story
204 days and counting! That’s how long this sweet boy has been with Three Little Pitties. If you want to know why this boy would be a good fit for you, please keep scrolling! Oh hi there, I'm Ashton! Energetic, friendly, and goofy... that's how everyone describes me. Here's what you need to know about me: I am friendly. I am playful. I am a fun dog. I am a bit higher energy. I am sweet. Some other quick facts about me: -I'm about 12 months old and will be a medium sized boy when fully grown. - I am actually a lot smaller than I look! I have the cutest short legs and low to the ground body. Jessica even said I might have some Bully in me. But I have the heart of a LOVER! - I love all people. I have never met a stranger. Sadie who is 11 years old walked me today and said she thinks I need a family with kids 6 years and older. PS---- it's just because I jumped a little because I’ve been in boarding! I can totally be trusted with kids. -I have the softest coat which makes it so easy to cuddle and give me love. Score! I've learned to roll over on my back to get optimal belly rubs. I'm a smart guy! -I'm dog friendly and love pouncing around with doggo friends big & small and of all temperaments. I can handle the playful and rambunctious dogs. -Like a typical puppy, I don't like to be bored. So I'm looking for a home with another dog, some toys, and lots of human attention. I'm told I do some mischievous puppy things like nibbling on shoe laces if left to my own boredom. Whoops! -I'm goofy and don't quite understand physical boundaries just yet. But I learn a lot from my older foster siblings, so I'd love to have an older pup in the house to show me the ropes. -I am smart! I learn really quickly and want to please people. I like learning new things and exploring. I am a curious pup! I am still a pup at about 12 months old. I've learned a lot already and am super smart, so I'm just lookin' for someone to help me fully round out my skills! ------------ Adoption application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6372cda54d3da30b051a961e Email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions Available for adoption in NV, UT, ID, OR, WA and Canada! Story
Meet Sally Sassy Pants! Would you believe me if I told you Sally was a shelter's longest resident? Sally lived in a shelter for 2 years! The shelter staff tried so hard, but because of her breed and the lack of exposure she received she was overlooked. Sally is perfect! She loves to ride in the car and be wherever her people are at! She gets easily overwhelmed by small children so a home with kiddos over 12 would be ideal for her! She currently lives with a 12 and 14 year old and does great with them! Sally is crate and potty trained! She enjoys going out on walks but needs help with leash skills as she pulls! Her foster mom uses a harness and that has helped! Having lived in a shelter for so long she was rarely taken on walks and isn’t used to being on a leash! Sally can sometimes resource guard her favorite toys by giving off a low growl, but she is easily corrected with a firm “no, sally!” Would you like to be apart of Sally's rescue story. After 2 years living in a shelter she deserves a forever family! She is so sweet! She loves belly rubs, loves to give kisses and is great with other medium and large dogs as long as she can be the alpha of the pack. Being in a shelter for so long she will need a lot of time to decompress. But we are sure it will be all worth it in the end. Please consider adopting Sally! We promise she’s worth it! Landon is a one year old Anatolian Shepard/Lab mix weighing 65 lbs! Landon is the most precious boy! You can tell just by looking at his sweet face! He is so kind and so affectionate to those around him all he wants to do is show everyone love and receive love! And he loves belly rubs!! Landon loves people and does fine with dogs of all sizes although he prefers to play with smaller dogs and submissive females. He will need slow introductions with any new dogs! Landon loves kids and would be happy to have a young human to run and play with! Landon’s bestie is his 10 year old human foster sibling! Landon is very submissive and will roll onto his back anytime he is shown the least bit of attention. Landon’s foster mom reports he is almost 100% house trained and is a perfect gentlemen in his crate. Fun fact about Landon - he loves parties! His foster family hosted a birthday party at their home and Landon was the star of the show! Everyone loves him and he did amazing with all the excitement and new people! During his assessment it was noted that Landon was very affectionate! He craved affection and he was very submissive to people. Landon does show teeth when he is getting affection and will roll on his back. He is actually “smiling” and showing his teeth because he is happy and excited from attention! It is not aggressive in any way. He constantly rolls back and wants more. He is a very smart pup. It would be ideal for him to be with a family that is patient and will continue to work with him on basic commands and leash etiquette. He hasn’t spent much time on a leash and will need some leash training. He would also enjoy a home with a yard or a family that enjoys the outdoors so he can get plenty of exercise!
