Story
She was a rescue dog. I got her from the animal shelter, Noah. She really loves people. Craves attention. She does get anxious. She is not a barker. She doesn’t bark when people knock at the door. I very rarely hear her bark when she is out back. She doesn’t really care for toys. She would rather you pet her or cuddle up next to her. I’m giving her up because she is getting older and she does not get along with my cat

Story
Charlie’s life was turned upside down when his family had to move but couldn’t bring him with. This sensitive, calm boy is a 9yr old love bug! He is a great size only weighing 45 lbs. He enjoys long walks and does very well on the leash but his favorite place is cuddled up with his people. He thrives with other dogs and would do very well with a furry companion in the home. He has been attending Furever Friends doggy daycare and he would be happy if his new people could continue to take him there. Charlie knows basic commands like sit, down and come. He listens well and is eager to please. He is crate and e collar trained. If you are looking for a well behaved family member who’s already trained, Charlie is your guy! Story
With Benga’s eyes, the meme generation possibilities are endless 👀 he will have his eye on your six…and seven, eight, nine too 🤣 This sweet boy is the purest form of good boi energy - he’s ready to play with anyone who will have him - or, he will find joy in chasing his own tail 🤷‍♀️ He’s very tuned in to his handler - male, female, big or small human - he just wants to follow directions and win all the pocket treatos 🥹 there is not a mean iota in this dog’s body. He redirects incredibly well to a Wonder Walker (probs any harness with a chest loop). ✅ Cats? No biggie - just be sure to introduce them appropriately and remind him that they don’t play like dogs do. (For real, he will play bow & try to get cats to play) ✅ Kids? If they can tell him to sit, he will! ✅ Other dogs? Bet. We frens. 💯 ✅ Small animals? Meh, he’s rather see what everyone else is doing than focus on what that lil critter is doing ✅ Car rides? Yes please! He will ride along, and wait patiently for you to come back if he cant come with you ✅ Paws For A Beer? YES PLEASE! Though if you’re trying to play darts, he will bring you a ball…. Because why throw dart 🎯 when can throw BALL 🎾!?!? ✅ Vet visit? Sure! He will even go along to keep his foster sister company 💜 Benga narrowly avoided euthanasia due to overcrowding, and the world is lucky 🍀 to have such a happy-go-lucky soul still among us! Please consider learning more about this sweet boy, or even finding some time to meet him! He deserves to find his forever family.

Story
*** Waylon is NOT in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. We are assisting his current owners in rehoming him. If you are interested in Waylon, please fill out an application at https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform *** Breed: Mixed (7 breeds) Age: 4 years old (DOB 11/29/20) Health: Neutered, vaccinated, and in excellent health Location: Bellingham, WA ❤️ About Waylon Waylon is a gentle, soulful dog with a heart of gold. Rescued from a Montana reservation at just 12 weeks old, he survived a harsh winter with only two of his littermates. Because of this early hardship, he’s both deeply loyal and understandably sensitive. He’s affectionate and loving once he feels safe, and enjoys quiet companionship and long moments watching the stars beside his favorite humans. When he trusts you, he’s goofy, devoted, and full of heart. 🌿 Ideal Home Waylon thrives with space, peace, and consistency. The perfect home for him would have: Land or acreage where he can roam freely and safely. No neighboring dogs sharing a fence, as he’s protective of his space. A calm environment without the constant noise of the city or frequent visitors. Another friendly, balanced dog he can play and coexist with. No young children under 10, as sudden noise or fast movements can overwhelm him. He’s happiest in a rural or semi-rural home where he can explore, relax, and feel secure. 🐕 Personality and Behavior Waylon is a sweet but cautious dog. He can be: Reactive when startled or encountering unfamiliar dogs. Anxious in chaotic or noisy settings. Playful once he knows and trusts other dogs. Affectionate but independent, appreciating his personal space and quiet time. His reactivity comes from fear, not aggression — with patience and understanding, his loving, loyal side shines through. He bonds deeply with those who give him consistency and calm. 🏡 Why He Needs a New Home With a new baby in the house, the increased activity and noise have made it difficult for Waylon to feel fully comfortable. He deserves a peaceful home where he can relax and thrive again. 🌟 Waylon’s Wishlist Room to roam freely The ability to go outside when he wants No shared-fence neighbor dogs Hikes through woods or near water Fetch a couple of times per day A dog friend to play with A comfortable couch or bed to curl up on 🧡 Summary Waylon is a sensitive, loyal companion with endless love to give. He just needs a peaceful environment, open space, and a patient, understanding person who values quiet moments and steady companionship. If you’re looking for a devoted dog who will walk beside you, watch the stars with you, and love you deeply once you’ve earned his trust, Waylon may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Annie - the sweetest soul with a heart of gold! This lovely lady came to stockton animal shelter with seven nursing babies and a belly wound, but she never stopped being the most loving, devoted mama. Her pups have all found rescue — now it's Annie's turn to shine and find HER happily ever after w us in the pnw Annie is a gentle, shy girl who can be a little overwhelmed in the shelter, but give her a quiet moment and a kind smile, and you'll see her soft tail start to wag. Once she feels safe, her playful, silly side comes out - she'll nuzzle into your lap for belly rubs and look up at you with those warm, "just love me" eyes. Annie loves being outside with her doggie friends - it's where she really starts to come out of her shell. She walks beautifully on leash, enjoys exploring, and finds comfort and confidence around other dogs. She can even get a little flirty with a male dog she likes! Having another calm, friendly dog in the home could really help show her the ropes and help her continue to blossom. She's learning that toys are fun (she's intrigued by the idea of playing ball!) and enjoys the company of other gentle dogs. In playgroups, she's polite, easy to handle, and sweetly bashful - the kind of dog who'll quietly melt your heart before you even realize it. Annie doesn't need much - just a little patience, a safe place, and someone to show her that the world can be kind. In return, she'll give you her trust, her affection, and that special kind of love only a shy, gentle soul can give.
