She came to us from a local hoarding situation and is now ready to find a loving home where she can enjoy the comfort and attention she deserves. Lois enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with respectful canine companions. She is also good with children who understand how to give her space when she needs it. While she may take a little time to settle into new surroundings, once she feels comfortable, her loving nature shines through. One of Lois's favorite things is cuddling up with her people. Whether it's relaxing on the couch or spending quiet time together, she's happiest when she can be close to those she loves. Lois has come a long way and is looking for a patient, caring family that will help her continue to build confidence and enjoy all the wonderful things life has to offer. Meet Miss Marla. Marla is a 4 year old teddy bear mix. I believe she is part lhasa apso, and she is smart and sweet and playful. Marla had a rocky start to her life so far but she is resilient! When I first got her, she didn't know what stairs were. In three weeks she has learned to go up and down stairs, sometimes reluctantly, and she will signal that she needs to go outside by going to the door. Marla is very laid back and quiet, she is not a barker. She does have a bit of a stubborn streak, so sometimes you have to work with that to get her to do things. But she is trainable!
