Story
I took in this sweet girl after my grandmother passed away. She was deeply loved for her whole life, and she has been a wonderful companion. She is around 15 years old and still very affectionate, gentle, and calm. She loves cuddling, lounging in soft spots, and being close to her person. She has no behavioral issues and has always done well with her routine. I feed her wet food in the morning and at night, and she does great with it with no throwing up or health problems that I am aware of. She is a friendly, easygoing cat who enjoys attention and would make a great companion in a quiet home. I am looking for someone who will give her the same love and comfort she has always had. She deserves a peaceful and caring home where she can relax and be cherished.

Squeaky was surrendered to a high kill shelter when their elderly owner passed away.   They have been through alot and they miss their mom. Both sisters are used to a quiet home with other cats.  They love it when you talk to them gently and pet them.  They would love to be able to go to a home together where there is a lap or two to warm. Squeaky has a very small meow thus her name.  She will talk to you if you say her name.  She is the ultimate lap warmer who loves to lay in sunny places and cozy beds.  She loves her wet food and treats.  she is definitely a foodie! Story
Hi! My name is Calypso and I am waiting for my “forever” home. My owners had to surrender me because they were moving and couldn’t take me with them. I had lived with them since I was just a kitten, so don’t understand why they left me behind, from the only home I had ever known. I am slow to adapt to new things/places/people, so may growl, hiss and scratch until I get to know and trust you. It took my foster mom almost a month before I finally trusted her enough to come out from my covered bed (my “safe space”) and let her pet me and love me. Multiple times throughout the day, she sat with me and patiently talked to me while I either ignored her or growled and hissed at her from inside the covered bed and scratched her hand when she tried to pet me anyway, but she persisted, and it paid off. Now, I love to come out and be petted/rubbed! She tells me how much she loves me and I purr my love back. When I have had enough, I head back inside my bed for some “me time.” You “cat-savvy” people know what I mean! I’m a big girl, and to be perfectly honest, I admit I am a bit on the chunky side, even though I don’t think I eat too much. I only like dry food served in a shallow bowl or on a plate – I’ve been eating Purina One Tender Selects Blend (Salmon) Dry Food since coming to Fancy Cats and Dogs Rescue and I like that because it has real salmon! I know I need to go on a diet, but I just don’t like canned/wet food. My foster mom has tried several kinds of canned food to see if I would eat it, but I am not at all interested. I don’t like treats, or at least my foster mom hasn’t found one I like, but do enjoy catnip filled toys! I drink my water well and use the litter box like a good girl. I also like to use my scratching post. Because of my size, I have trouble keeping myself groomed, so I just had a “lion cut” to remove all the matted fur. Since it is summertime, I am enjoying not having so much fur! I think I am still adorable, so include a couple of pictures of my new hairdo. My foster mom has 3 young cats and, while they are very interested in getting to know me, I am not too interested in getting to know them, so growl at them to keep them from getting too close to me, which they respect. I have always been the only cat and prefer to keep it that way. Although I still spend a lot of time snoozing in my covered bed (which I love because it makes me feel safe), I come out when my foster mom calls my name - I wiggle out of the bed and come over for pets - and enjoy just hanging out in my room. Although I have tried exploring a little, the other cats make me uncomfortable to I mostly keep to myself. However, once I get settled into my new home - where I am the queen of my domain - I know that I will enjoy exploring, but please be patient with me. It has been a tough few months for me and it will likely take a bit of time for me to come around, but it will be worth it because I have lots of love to give and will be a perfect addition to your family. Story
Named after a ruthless French revolutionary, Robespierre is actually rather gentle and kind. He’s playful but cuddly, and his tiny meows will remind you that he’s only four years old. Robespierre is curious about everyone and everything and also somehow unbothered by anyone or anything. He has a stunning black coat, as he’s mixed with Maine Coon and domestic long hair. When he’s not hunting his toys or receiving direct cuddles, he loves to lounge around the house. He was originally adopted as a kitten from a small rescue in Pennsylvania, but until recently, he lived in a home with multiple other animals and his pet-loving owner. He was surrendered to Tiny Cat Animal Rescue at the end of October when she entered hospice for a terminal illness. Robespierre would be a delightful addition to your home—whether he’s joining your crew of cats or dogs or coming with one of his siblings (Jules or Guy).

Story
Summerlee came to 4Paws from a rescue partner in West Virginia. She is a gorgeous girl who loves people even more than playing with her toys! She will make a great family cat. She would do well as a buddy cat or as a single cat. Her estimated birthdate is September 2023. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She will be microchipped before she goes to her new home.
