We have a transport leaving between the 1st and 3rd of November 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Chloe to our trip for the right family 😊
Meet Chloe! 🩷🐾
Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart without ever demanding your attention, and Chloe is one of those incredibly special little souls. With her gentle nature, peaceful temperament, and genuine love for companionship, she is the kind of dog who makes even the simplest moments feel special.
Chloe is a beautiful Maltese/Poodle mix, born May 28, 2025. She weighs 13.46 pounds, is fully grown, and is at a wonderful, healthy adult weight! She has a gorgeous, soft, hypoallergenic-type coat that takes much more after her Maltese heritage, giving her that sweet, fluffy appearance we all know and love.
There is something unique about Chloe that we’d love to share, as it’s a small part of her story. 🩷
Chloe was born with a condition known as ectrodactyly, which simply means that one of her front paws developed a little differently before she was born. In Chloe’s case, a portion of her paw formed with a natural separation, giving it a slightly different appearance and structure than a typically formed paw.
The wonderful thing is that Chloe has always adapted beautifully! She was walking comfortably, getting around without difficulty, and enjoying her everyday activities without any noticeable limitations.
During her veterinary examination, our veterinarian felt that bringing the separated portions of her paw together could provide additional stability and support as she matured. Although Chloe was doing wonderfully, we wanted to give her the best possible foundation for the years ahead.
Chloe has since undergone the procedure and is recovering beautifully! Her veterinarian expects her to enjoy a normal, happy life, and we are so pleased with how well she has been doing.
She is available for adoption and simply needs to finish healing before heading home. Her next veterinary follow-up is scheduled for October 27, when her veterinarian will evaluate her recovery and determine whether she is ready for final clearance.
Her adopting family will receive her medical records and information about her paw and the care she received. We believe in sharing every part of our dogs’ medical histories so their families can feel informed and confident as they welcome them home.
And when it comes to Chloe, we hope her little paw will be seen for exactly what it is: one small part of a beautiful girl who has so much love to offer. 🩷
Chloe’s previous family loved her very much, but as their lives became increasingly busy, they recognized that they could no longer give her the time and companionship she deserved.
Between long working hours, ongoing home renovations, and their children’s busy schedules, their days were often full from morning until evening. They knew Chloe would be happiest in a home where someone had more time to simply enjoy her company, and they made the difficult decision to entrust her to our care.
And after getting to know this beautiful girl, we understand exactly what they meant.
Chloe is genuinely one of the sweetest, most gentle little girls you could ever hope to meet! 🩷
She has an incredibly serene, easygoing temperament. She isn’t demanding, overly energetic, or constantly searching for something to entertain her. She’s naturally quiet, isn’t a barker, and is perfectly content simply being near the people she loves.
Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, reading a book, working from home, or enjoying a peaceful afternoon, Chloe would be delighted to keep you company. She has such a lovely way of settling into whatever is happening around her and finding happiness in simply being included.
She can be a little shy when initially meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and trusting personality begins to shine. She has such a soft, kind way about her, and we absolutely adore watching her confidence grow as she becomes familiar with someone new.
Chloe has also developed some wonderful habits that will make her transition into her forever home much easier!
She is house trained and does beautifully with a consistent bathroom schedule throughout the day. She is also crate trained and settles wonderfully in her crate overnight or whenever you need to step away from home.
Of course, if her future family prefers having her sleep on a cozy bed beside theirs, or even snuggled up in bed with them, we certainly don’t think Chloe would object! She is happy to follow whichever comfortable routine her family establishes.
Her leash training is progressing nicely, although she is still building confidence when exploring unfamiliar surroundings. With patience, consistency, and positive experiences, we believe she will continue to blossom.
She is wonderful with other dogs and cats alike, making her a lovely companion for a home with other animals. She also does beautifully on road trips and is an excellent little traveling companion!
And we have to mention just how amazing she is for grooming!
Our groomer absolutely adored her! Chloe was exceptionally well-behaved throughout her appointment, and her calm, cooperative nature made her an absolute pleasure to work with. Her beautiful Maltese-like coat will require regular grooming and maintenance, but thankfully, she makes that part of her care incredibly easy.
When we picture Chloe’s forever home, we envision someone who appreciates a peaceful lifestyle and has the time to enjoy the companionship of a devoted little dog.
Perhaps you’re retired, work from home, or simply have a schedule that allows you to be present throughout much of the day. Chloe would be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys life’s quieter moments and would love having a sweet little companion by their side.
We would especially love to find a family who understands her initially shy nature, allows her confidence to grow naturally, and appreciates the wonderfully gentle companion she is.
Chloe has received extensive veterinary care during her time with us, and we are so pleased with how wonderfully she has done!
She is spayed, current on all of her one-year vaccinations, and microchipped. She received a comprehensive physical examination with excellent findings aside from her known paw condition, and her blood work performed before surgery came back with wonderful results!
In addition to her paw procedure, Chloe had several additional dewclaws removed while she was already under anesthesia.
She will go home with her medical records and a health certificate once she has finished healing and received her veterinarian’s clearance.
What makes Chloe so special isn’t just her beautiful appearance or wonderfully gentle temperament. It’s how easily she fits into the quiet, ordinary moments of everyday life and makes them that much sweeter.
She doesn’t need grand adventures or a life filled with excitement to be happy. She simply wants to be included, to feel loved, and to have someone who enjoys her company just as much as she enjoys theirs.
And perhaps that’s what makes her so easy to fall in love with.
Chloe may have been born with a paw that’s a little different, but there is absolutely nothing missing from the love she has to give. 🩷
