💔 12 YEARS OLD… AND STILL WAITING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 💔 Meet Mitzi… a tiny 11 lb senior girl who isn’t asking for much—just a lap, a little love, and a place to spend the rest of her days 💕 She’s 12 years old… which means she’s been through life, loved before, and now finds herself waiting for someone to love her again. ✨ She’s the easiest kind of dog ✨ She doesn’t need much exercise ✨ She’s happy just laying next to you ✨ And yes… she really loves her snacks 🍗 In the mornings, she’ll do a little wander around the yard, maybe even a tiny run… but after that? She’s all about the couch life and soaking up your love. And the best part? 💖 She gets along with everyone — kids, dogs, and even cats Mitzi doesn’t need adventures… she just needs you. A warm home. A soft place to lay. A person to call her own again. 🙏 Please don’t let her spend her golden years waiting… seniors like Mitzi deserve to be cherished. ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Rabies ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Vaccines up to date ✔️ Dewormed ✔️ Flea & tick treated 📩 If you can give this sweet girl the love she deserves, please reach out 📲 Text: 209-447-7666 📧 Email: pawsforjuliarescue@gmail.com 👉 Please LIKE • COMMENT • SHARE to help Mitzi find her forever home

Story
✨ Meet Nova ✨ Nova is a beautiful 2–3 year old female who came to us straight off the streets of Visalia. When she first arrived, she was completely shut down—scared, unsure, and clearly used to having to fend for herself. With time, patience, and love, Nova has already come such a long way. She’s still a bit timid at first, but once she knows you’re safe, her sweet and loving personality shines through. She truly just needs someone willing to go slow and let her build trust at her own pace. 🐾 About Nova: • Crate trained • Walks well on leash • Still working on house training • Good with other dogs • Does well with our outdoor cats • Best suited for a home with no young children, as new things can make her nervous Nova doesn’t want to fight anymore. She’s ready for a calm, patient home where she can finally feel safe and loved. With the right person, she is going to be an incredibly loyal and gentle companion. If you feel like you might be the one to give Nova the time, patience, and love she deserves, we would love for you to meet her. 📧 Email: pawsforjuliarescue@gmail.com 📱 Text: (209) 447-7666 Let’s help Nova find her forever 💕

Story
✨ PLEASE MEET MOONCALF — OUR NEWEST FANTASTIC BEAST ✨ Mooncalf is approximately 12 years old, and this tiny senior girl has already endured far more than she ever should have. When she came into Umbrella of Hope Rescue, her diabetes was completely uncontrolled. Her blood glucose was so high that it was literally beyond the range the equipment could measure. She will need insulin injections under the skin twice daily for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, diabetes is only part of her medical story. Mooncalf also has KCS (dry eye) affecting both eyes. This is a painful condition that requires specialized prescription eye medication twice daily to keep her comfortable and help protect her vision. Her skin is also in terrible condition, as you can see in her photos, and we are working to determine the underlying causes and get her comfortable again. She also has a mammary mass along with several other age-related medical concerns that still need evaluation and treatment. And yet, somehow, Mooncalf remains incredibly sweet. She is gentle. She is trusting. She still wants affection. She has every reason in the world to be angry at what life has handed her, and instead she simply seems grateful that someone is finally taking care of her. We are committed to giving Mooncalf the medical care she needs and the comfortable senior life she deserves. But chronic illness is expensive. Insulin. Syringes. Prescription eye medications. Blood glucose monitoring. Diagnostics. Veterinary visits. Skin treatment. Evaluation of her mammary mass. And whatever else we uncover as we continue working through years of neglected medical needs. This is exactly why rescue takes a village. If you can help Mooncalf, even a small donation makes a difference. WAYS TO DONATE: Check or money order:Umbrella of Hope4040 Railroad AvePittsburg, CA 94565 Venmo:@Umbrellaof-HopeResuce PayPal:beourpet@gmail.com Zelle:beourpet@gmail.com Mooncalf did not get to choose the body she grew old in or the medical problems she developed. But we can choose what happens next. We can make sure her golden years are filled with comfort, proper medical care, good food, soft beds, and people who believe an elderly diabetic dog is still absolutely worth saving. Please help us give Mooncalf the life she deserves. ❤️ Thank you for being part of her journey.   GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: Most likely Good with cats?:  Unknown but we think so Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. Story
âœ¨ Meet Boq  — 6 lbs of tiny, determined heart ✨ Available for Adoption through Umbrella of Hope Boq Wicked is a 9-year-old, 6-pound Maltese mix with a soft black and white coat, a gentle spirit, and a lifetime of stories behind his cloudy eyes. He may be small, but this little gentleman has preferences, routines, and a quirky charm that make him unforgettable to those lucky enough to earn his trust. His Personality Boq is happiest when the world is quiet, steady, and predictable. His absolute favorite part of the day? His walks. He walks beautifully on leash and will trot right alongside you like the world’s tiniest hiking buddy. He gets along well with other dogs, he’s sweet, affectionate in his own gentle way, and very food-motivated. (Blueberries, watermelon, and chicken? Yes, please.) Because Boq is deaf and has limited vision, he can be reactive if startled. He’s not recommended for a home with small children. His perfect match is someone experienced with shy or special-needs pups — someone who recognizes that progress may be slow… but absolutely worth it. Daily Life with Boq • Likes to explore, sniff, and take in the world on his walks • Occasionally plays with small toys (when the mood strikes) If you’re patient, compassionate, and looking for a small senior buddy who just needs someone to believe in him, Boq Wicked might be your perfect match.
