Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Boq Wicked — 6 lbs of tiny, determined heart &#226&#156&#168 Available for Adoption through Umbrella of Hope Boq Wicked is a 9-year-old, 6-pound Maltese mix with a soft black and white coat, a gentle spirit, and a lifetime of stories behind his cloudy eyes. He may be small, but this little gentleman has preferences, routines, and a quirky charm that make him unforgettable to those lucky enough to earn his trust. His Personality Boq is happiest when the world is quiet, steady, and predictable. His absolute favorite part of the day? His walks. He walks beautifully on leash and will trot right alongside you like the world’s tiniest hiking buddy. He gets along well with other dogs, but people are a different story — Boq needs time, patience, and a calm approach before he feels safe with new humans. Once he trusts you, he’s sweet, affectionate in his own gentle way, and very food-motivated. (Blueberries, watermelon, and chicken? Yes, please.) Because Boq is deaf and has limited vision, he can be reactive if startled. He’s not recommended for a home with small children. His perfect match is someone experienced with shy or special-needs pups — someone who recognizes that progress may be slow… but absolutely worth it. Daily Life with Boq • Not fully housebroken, but does well if taken outside regularly • Doesn’t enjoy crates, carriers, or car rides • Likes to explore, sniff, and take in the world on his walks • Occasionally plays with small toys (when the mood strikes) Boq isn’t a turnkey dog — he’s a relationship dog. He needs someone who sees beyond first impressions and understands the quiet magic of earning the trust of a fearful pup. In return, you’ll get loyalty, routine, companionship, and the joy of being his safe place. If you’re patient, compassionate, and looking for a small senior buddy who just needs someone to believe in him, Boq Wicked might be your perfect match. Story
Bunny is a darling Maltese who has truly been through it, but you’d never know it from her gentle spirit and sweet disposition. This little angel came to us with an old leg injury that had healed incorrectly and made walking painful. After her amputation, Hazel has been so much happier — she moves with ease and confidence now, proving once again that tripods thrive! Bunny is also missing one eye, but trust us… none of this slows her down one bit. She gets around beautifully, enjoys soft naps in cozy beds, and loves nothing more than being close to her person. She’s quiet, affectionate, and an absolutely delightful companion. If you’re looking for a loving little shadow to bring warmth and sweetness into your home, Bunny is your girl. 🫶 Apply to meet her and let this brave, beautiful Maltese melt your heart.

Her cheerful little prance, bright expression, and silky white coat make her impossible not to fall in love with. True to the Maltese temperament, Valerie is both fun-loving and affectionate. She adores playtime, enjoys being the center of attention, and happily hops into your lap when it’s time to unwind. Story
Meet Dany – the Sweet, Loyal Little Companion Looking for Her Forever Home! (This dog is not at the shelter. She is being rehomed by her current owner.) Dany is a 7-year-old female Maltipoo with a soft, curly coat of black fur with white spots and an affectionate, sensitive nature. She has been loved and well-cared for her entire life, and her family is heartbroken to rehome her. Due to a recent move and preparing for a second child, they simply can’t give Dany the time and attention she deserves. Dany is a sweet and friendly girl, especially around children, and she has lived successfully with other dogs. She warms up well to visitors after initially barking to announce new people—she just needs a moment to get comfortable. She is: &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Spayed &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Up to date on vaccines &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Potty trained &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Crate trained &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Healthy and vet-cared for Dany does have some typical small-dog behaviors, including resource guarding high-value treats, food, or toys. She has never bitten, but she may growl or show her teeth if approached when she has something special. With proper management and respect for her boundaries, she does very well. In her new home, Dany would thrive with someone who understands her cues, provides structure, and gives her the love and attention she’s used to. She’s a loyal little dog who bonds deeply with her people. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion who enjoys being part of the family, Dany might be the perfect match. Location: Sacramento, CA Good with: Other dogs, children Best Home: Loving, patient, and able to help her feel safe and supported If you are interested in Dany or would like more information, please reach out and we will connect you with her current family. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Courtesy Post: Meet Snow — A Happy, Energetic 4-Year-Old Maltipoo Looking for a Loving Home Please note: Snow is not at the shelter. He is staying with his current owner in Sacramento, CA, and all meet-and-greets will be coordinated directly with the owner. Contact Information If you’re interested in Snow or have questions, please contact his owner directly: Owner: Christine Phone: (916) 410-3514 Email: ce_ce4@aol.com About Snow Breed: Maltipoo Age: 4 years Color: White Gender: Male (not neutered) Vaccines: Not current Location: Sacramento, CA Lived with: No children, cats, or dogs Reason for Rehoming: Housing Snow has been with his owner since he was 8 weeks old and has grown into a joyful, energetic little dog. He is being rehomed due to housing challenges and is looking for a family who can give him stability, love, and plenty of playtime. &#226&#156&#168 Personality & Behavior Very energetic and playful Gets excited with visitors — runs, barks, jumps, and tries to show toys for fetch Friendly and affectionate Barks when scared Potty trained Allows people to take food and toys Has never bitten anyone Snow has not been exposed to children, other dogs, or cats, so slow introductions or a quieter household may be best for him. Ideal Home Snow is happiest indoors with his family and is not used to long periods outdoors or dog parks. He would thrive with a patient, loving adopter who can help him adjust to new experiences and provide daily playtime to match his lively energy. Because he hasn’t been around kids or other animals, an adult-only home or a calm household may be the most comfortable fit. Veterinary Notes Snow has not been seen by a veterinarian and is not current on vaccines. His future family should be prepared to schedule a vet visit, vaccinations, and discuss neutering.
