Story
I got Cantinflas from a person on facebook less than a year ago, he’s a five year old Maltese small dog. He’s amazing with children and other pets he doesn’t bark at all very quiet doggy. I’d describe him as loving, gentle, very calm, and just a sweetheart in general. He loves going on walks and yes he leads the way when he’s at the house it’s almost as if he’s not there because again you never hear him bark. I love this dog so much that I want him to find a home where he’ll be loved and I’ll always know he’ll be okay so if you decide you’re interested love him the same way he’ll love you be his safe space like he’ll be for you. Unfortunately life changes happen and I’m not in a place where I can give him his forever home with me so I’m hoping I can find him one through one of you.

Story
Please meet our newest addition to our Umbrella of Hope Rescue: Mooncalf FANTASTIC BEASTS!! We are asking for your help for this sweet 12 yr old senior girl who has already endured more than her fair share of medical challenges.   When she arrived in our care, her diabetes was completely uncontrolled. Her blood glucose levels were so high they were literally off the charts and unable to register. To give her the chance at a comfortable, healthy life, she will require insulin injections under the skin twice a day for the rest of her life.   But diabetes is only one of her many medical concerns. She also suffers from KCS (dry eye) in both eyes, a painful condition that requires specialized eye medication twice daily to keep her comfortable and preserve her vision. Her skin is in horrible condition as you can see in the photos. On top of that, she has a mammary mass and several other age-related medical issues that we are continuing to evaluate and treat.   Despite everything she has been through, she remains sweet, gentle, and trusting. She deserves the chance to spend her golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and proper medical care. The costs of her ongoing treatment, medications, diagnostics, and veterinary care add up quickly, but we are committed to giving her the quality of life she deserves. We simply can't do it without your support.   Please consider making a donation today. Every dollar helps provide insulin, prescription eye drops, veterinary visits, and the specialized care this precious senior girl needs. Story
🤍 Meet Angel Eyes 🤍Angel Eyes is a sweet 1-2-year-old Maltese/Poodle mix weighing about 16 pounds.🏡 His Ideal Home✔️ Patient, experienced adopters who understand shy rescue dogs✔️ Committed to positive reinforcement, routine, and continued training✔️ Willing to work through a learning curve with potty training and house manners✔️ Older, gentle children (10+) who understand how to respect a dog's space❤️ Things to KnowAngel Eyes can become stressed or nippy when frightened in unfamiliar situations (especially at the veterinarian or groomer). He needs a family that understands he needs guidance and is committed to helping him build confidence through calm leadership, desensitization, and patience. With the right home, Angel Eyes blossoms into a loving, affectionate, and easygoing companion. He adores other dogs, does well with cats, and loves his people. He enjoys playing with his dog friends but is also happy curling up for cuddles with the people he trusts most.🐾 His StoryWhen Angel Eyes arrived, he was severely matted with foxtails embedded throughout his coat, ears, and even his groin. The painful mats and infections made grooming and veterinary care understandably terrifying for him. His reactions were rooted in fear and pain—not aggression. Now that he's healthy and comfortable, his sweet personality shines through more every day.✂️ Grooming RequirementMaltese/Poodle mixes require professional grooming every 4-6 weeks. Without routine grooming, their coats become painfully matted, trap debris like foxtails, and lead to skin infections. Regular grooming is an essential part of keeping Angel Eyes healthy and comfortable.Overall, Angel Eyes is an affectionate, playful little dog who loves people, dogs, and cats. He's ready to leave his past behind and find a family who will love him, care for him, and continue helping him grow into the confident little dog he's meant to be.❤️ To be considered for adoption, please submit a detailed application at www.K9ppr.org. Detailed applications are required to help ensure the best possible match for both our dogs and their new families.July 30, 2026, 5:09 pm

Story
âœ¨ Meet Boq  — 6 lbs of tiny, determined heart ✨ Available for Adoption through Umbrella of Hope Boq Wicked is a 9-year-old, 6-pound Maltese mix with a soft black and white coat, a gentle spirit, and a lifetime of stories behind his cloudy eyes. He may be small, but this little gentleman has preferences, routines, and a quirky charm that make him unforgettable to those lucky enough to earn his trust. His Personality Boq is happiest when the world is quiet, steady, and predictable. His absolute favorite part of the day? His walks. He walks beautifully on leash and will trot right alongside you like the world’s tiniest hiking buddy. He gets along well with other dogs, he’s sweet, affectionate in his own gentle way, and very food-motivated. (Blueberries, watermelon, and chicken? Yes, please.) Because Boq is deaf and has limited vision, he can be reactive if startled. He’s not recommended for a home with small children. His perfect match is someone experienced with shy or special-needs pups — someone who recognizes that progress may be slow… but absolutely worth it. Daily Life with Boq • Likes to explore, sniff, and take in the world on his walks • Occasionally plays with small toys (when the mood strikes) If you’re patient, compassionate, and looking for a small senior buddy who just needs someone to believe in him, Boq Wicked might be your perfect match. Story
Gilligan is a quirky little man who is also very independent. Don’t let the scruffy fur fool you, this little man is a jewel in the rough. Speaking of rough, he and siblings had a rough start in life but he has come so far. Gilligan has a mellow disposition and is dog friendly. His perfect home would include a friendly resident dog. He loves to play and chase is a favorite game for him. Gilligan is treat motivated, which will really help with his ongoing training. He’s a bit shy and may take some time to decompress but that’s to be expected with any rescue critter. Are you ready for a cutie pie like Gilligan?
