Story
Meet the beautiful Bunny! She is a 2 ½ -year-old, 10 pound, scruffy, white and apricot, (Malchi) (Maltese/Chihuahua mix. This adorable girl has a merry twinkle in her eyes that will melt your heart! Bunny is a high energy girl and needs an ACTIVE ADULT ONLY home where she will be walked and played with daily. She was surrendered to us because her family didn't have time for her and sadly she spent most of her day in a crate. Bunny is waiting to see how wonderful life is! She needs and deserves to be your best friend! She LOVES all your attention and prefers to be an only dog though she does play with other dogs. Her favorite game is pouncing at you and trying to get you to chase her. For being such a playful girl, she really LOVES to cuddle her human. She would love to spend quality time with you. She loves to sit in your lap or next to you. She enjoys going on walks and rides well in the car. She will require occasional professional grooming. She is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Bunny is waiting for her new loving family. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
**Beans is a mixed breed dog and we cannot guarantee he is allergy friendly.**   What's not to love about Beans? Beans is a 4-year-old love muffin who is the sweetest boy around. He is quite the little charmer and will hop right in your lap for some cuddles and love. He is an easy-going guy who seems like he could be a great fit for just about anyone. Beans is fully grown and weighs about 10 lbs. Beans came to us after he was found as a stray and brought to our local shelter. He was found with his buddy, Frank. Both dogs were in horrible condition when found and were covered in mats and foxtails. We were able to get them groomed and they are feeling so much better with their new haircuts. Frank and Beans would do best in separate adoptive homes as Frank loves Beans more than Beans loves Frank. Beans is the more mellow of the two dogs and is happy to chill next to you while you work from home or relax from a long day at work. He enjoys his walks and is the best neighborhood stroll partner. He loves to cuddle and is happiest when he can be snuggled up with someone in his foster home. Beans seems like he has been in a home before, but doesn't seem like he has had any training up until now, so his new family should be prepared to work with him on learning his basic manners. Beans has done well with other small dogs but also wouldn't mind being your spoiled-only pup. Beans has been doing well living with cats after a slow introduction and with proper supervision. Beans currently lives in a foster home with kids and could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 5 years or older. Beans has been doing well with his housetraining, but he should be supervised when first adopted until he has adjusted to a new environment and routine. Beans have been doing well being crated at night and when alone. Due to his fur type, Beans requires frequent grooming. His new family should be prepared to pay for professional grooming or be willing to learn to ensure his coat is properly maintained. Beans is such a fabulous little dog and he is oh-so ready for his fur-ever home. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Beans's adoption fee is $350.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. July 26, 2024, 4:29 pm

(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog
