Story
Meet the beautiful Bunny! She is a 2 ½ -year-old, 10 pound, scruffy, white and apricot, (Malchi) (Maltese/Chihuahua mix. This adorable girl has a merry twinkle in her eyes that will melt your heart! Bunny is a high energy girl and needs an ACTIVE ADULT ONLY home where she will be walked and played with daily. She was surrendered to us because her family didn't have time for her and sadly she spent most of her day in a crate. Bunny is waiting to see how wonderful life is! She needs and deserves to be your best friend! She LOVES all your attention and prefers to be an only dog though she does play with other dogs. Her favorite game is pouncing at you and trying to get you to chase her. For being such a playful girl, she really LOVES to cuddle her human. She would love to spend quality time with you. She loves to sit in your lap or next to you. She enjoys going on walks and rides well in the car. She will require occasional professional grooming. She is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Bunny is waiting for her new loving family. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Patona is a 5-year old Maltese/Terrier mix that currently weighs 14 pounds. She was brought to us needing rehoming due to her previous owners no longer being able to care for her. She does shed a little bit due to her mixed breed, but will still require grooming to prevent matting. She has been a very sweet girl to the staff and seems to want love from people. She was only a house dog for a brief period of time and was started on her housetraining but will need to continue to learn in her next home to prevent accidents. We hope to find a family who will be with her most of the time since she is very attached to people. We have vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed her. $250.00 adoption fee. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Dominic is the sweetest little guy you will ever meet. He's 8 lbs of pure love. After being found as a stray and being shaved, neutered, lots of teeth removed, top of head stitched up and lots of eye drops (forever), he still loves to go for walks, get hugged and kissed, hang out with his fosters other dogs, sit on your lap (all the time). He is super easy to bathe, quiet, uses the dog door 99% of the time, and sleeps through the night on top of the bed. 13-year-old Dominic has some hearing loss and will grab at food in your hand but doesn't bite. He likes tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden and shares his food with the other dogs. He will need eye medicine for tear production the rest of his life and is a good boy when putting the drops in. Dominic is good with other dogs and is an easygoing boy. His favorite forever home will be where he has a lap to sit on and someone home with him for much of the day.

Story
NAME:PatsySTATS:Female, Maltese mix, 1 year, 8 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Needs seasoned owner to work with issues (see below).Food guarding issues?Would ideally be the ONLY as she can be a bit sassy and prefers to be the only dog in the home but can play with other dogs Will chase catsSKILLSDoing great with potty training.Crate trained.Leash trained.Likes walks, but not great for hiking.Has not been exposed to children.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes walks.Needs patient owner willing to work on fearful behavior (see details below).Suggest training (basic manners).ONE LAST THING:Patsy is a very sweet dog when she chooses to be but is slow to trust and handle long invasive pets quite yet. A little background on our Patsy. She's about a year old and was found as a stray so chances are someone gave up on her. Patsy is rather independent; she's not a huge cuddler, but will follow you around and lay by your feet while watching TV or in the office working. She is going to be a bit of a project when it comes to learning to trust and maybe with time and at her own pace she will surprise you. Patsy LOVES her walks so at least 2 a day. She plays by herself with toys and is vocal when playing. She does like pets but can sometimes be cranky when you pet certain areas. Patsy has some challenges to work on and needs a patient and loving home. She likes being in her crate as a 'safe place', but doesn't like the door closed. She needs to be the only animal because she'll go after other dogs or cats (protecting her person or food guarding). She needs to be picked up a certain way or can nip&#194&#151so no children living in the house. Children can visit, but you might want to keep Patsy separated until she feels more comfortable. She hates the brush or comb and she does get little mats so adopter needs to know how to handle that. She is currently on melatonin and it has helped.Obviously, Patsy isn't for everyone. But if you're the type who is patient and loving and is willing to work with a dog that hasn't had the best start in life, you may be a good fit. A good headline for Patsy might be, 'Grumpy Pup Seeks Someone to Love.' And honestly, Patsy isn't right for everyone, but if you are single or a couple who has time to let Patsy settle in and become her best self, she may just surprise you. We just think this girl is going to take a lot longer to decompress and come out of her shell so she really needs a kind and patient home.September 5, 2024, 10:58 pm
