All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $200 (We have had a wonderful sponsor who is willing to pay the rest of her adoption fee, so that it could be reduced) Miss White is a 10 year old, 13-pound, Maltese mix who was surrendered to DPS when her former home decided they no longer wanted to care for her. This gal is looking for a home where she can live out her golden years in style and comfort and promises to provide humor and snuggles in return! Miss White has a non-shedding coat which makes her an option for those with allergies. Miss White has a heart murmur which has been diagnosed by our vet. She is not on medication at this time for the murmur, as our vet did not feel medication would be beneficial for her at the present, but it is something her adopters will need to monitor with their vet. Miss White is a golden gal looking for her golden forever home! This senior would never let you think she’s 10 years old. While she is very low-key and laid back, she lives her life with enjoyment and bliss. Miss White loves meeting new people and has the ability to instantly settle in to any new environment. She is an amazing companion with the sweetest little personality contained in a beautiful little body. Miss White has a fun-loving spirit and a lot of pep left in her silvery steps. She enjoys her car rides and her daily walks in the neighborhood, greeting all her subjects with a smile. Miss White is the perfect mix of playful and couch potato with her wagging tail and bright smile. Miss White starts her day at 7 AM with a big stretch and a potty outside. She trots inside for breakfast and then settles in on her daybed to snuggle the workday away. She is the ideal WFH buddy as her dream workday is treats, sleeps, and repeat. Throughout the day, she takes herself outside into the yard as needed, both for potty trips and to stretch her legs. She keeps the yard critters in check! Miss White has dinner at 6 PM and goes into the yard for some more sniffs and light playtime before she gets a long cuddle session on the couch between 7-10 PM. She goes out for one last potty session at 11 and then heads to her dog bed for a long slumber. Miss White gets along fabulously with other dogs and could be a great older sibling. She would prefer no loud puppies though, as they disrupt her important naps. She is a breeze to walk and is fully house trained. What more could you ask for? Miss White just wants a home ready to let her lounge and do some chill adventuring. With a face like hers, and the personality to match, what are you waiting for?
