Story
Hi, I’m Baby Shark, a 6-year-old Maltese mix with a big attitude and even bigger personality! Despite my small size, I’m basically a cranky little old man trapped in a dog’s body, and I know exactly what I want and how to get it. 😎 I’m quirky, independent, and definitely particular about what I like—like, don’t even think about picking me up or brushing me. I’m Baby Shark for a reason, people. 🦈 Now, you may be wondering, “What does Baby Shark do for fun?” Well, I love to watch TV—especially Stepbrothers. 🛋️ I have an undeniable obsession with Will Ferrell (don’t ask me why, I just love him), and I’ll happily sit there and watch the movie on repeat if you’ll let me. Even though I can be a little grumpy at times (hey, I’m not that old, but I’m set in my ways), I’m also a huge cuddle bug. I may not want to be picked up, but I’ll happily curl up next to you on the couch for some quality cuddle time and pets. ❤️ I’m a total social butterfly and love hanging out with cats, kids, and other dogs. I’ve come a long way and have captured the hearts of everyone lucky enough to meet me. 🐾 Oh, and did I mention I LOVE chicken? 🍗 If you ever need a way to win me over, just offer me a little chicken, and you’ll be my best friend. If you're looking for a quirky, lovable little guy who’s full of surprises, then I’m your man. Adopt Baby Shark and let’s enjoy some laughs, cuddles, and, of course, some Will Ferrell movie nights together! 😄

Story
Hi! My name’s Worm (short for Wiggle Worm), and I’m a 3 ½-year-old Maltese with a whole lot of personality packed into my little body. I might be small, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve got the energy of the Energizer Bunny and the confidence of a Great Dane. 💪 I don’t walk like other dogs—I bounce! It’s like my feet are made of springs, and I’m always ready for my next adventure. Whether it’s chasing my toys, zooming around the yard, or just keeping you on your toes, I’m a whirlwind of excitement. 🌀 I’m sweet as can be and great with kids (they match my energy!). I’m also okay with dog-savvy cats who can handle my big personality. However, I’m extremely picky when it comes to other dogs. I do not get along with large dogs, so I need a home where I can be the king of the castle or have very carefully chosen small-dog friends. 👑🐾 Now, about my living situation—I need a secure yard with a 5-ft fence (no chain link for me, please—I’m clever and might try to escape!). A GPS collar is also required, just in case my springs launch me into a new adventure. If you’re looking for a bundle of chaos, cuddles, and non-stop entertainment, I’m your guy. Adopt Worm today, and let’s bounce into a lifetime of fun together! 🐾✨

Brighton is in foster care inNorwalk, Ct.. if interested there is an application on our websitewww,houstonshaggydogrescue.org/adopt/This precious little approx 2 year old , 11 lb Maltese mix arrived at our local animal shelter with gunshot wounds to his right front leg, the leg was shattered and the vets could not repair it and sadly it had to be amputated..he has adapted really well to being a tripod and gets around really well, and can hop up in a car and the couch etc.. Nothing seems to slow him down.he is his fosters best friend and follows her everywhere, he loves sitting on her lap and sleeps on her bed at night. He gets along with the other dogs but is not one for playing with them a lot and he seems to ignore the fosters cats..he is house trained and does well on a leash, this sweet boy needs a home where he can get lots of Tlc ,The adoption fee is $400 and includes the transportation.we do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years and must be an experienced dog ownerAll of our dogs are spayed/neutered.. up to date on all shots and boosters, microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives..FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK

Story
Meet Winston, an adult (approx. 5 years old) neutered male Wire Terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs!  Winston is arrived in CT on 5/30. We are accepting applications on him now! He will be required to attend our adoption event in Dayville, CT on 6/14. His fosters said, "Winston is very sweet with people but is not comfortable with young children. He is working on being more comfortable with being on a leash." And "Winston is an absolute dream. He is my little shadow who follows me around the house and outside. He loves to cuddle and gaze at you with such love. He loves treats and fetch. And he has learned how to use the doggie door. He has a cute little snore when he sleeps." Winston is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. He is good with dogs and cats but we recommend children over 10 years old. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2739541##

Story
Casey is a cutie pie. He is a 6 yr old Maltese who has been through hell. He was surrendered to a high kill shelter because his owner could not afford vet care. She never did any vet care for him.  An amazing sponsor covered all of Casey's numerous surgeries, :  Neuter, Dental removing 20 teeth, a double hernia, a prolapsed rectum, but thanks to this angel Casey is now ready to find his forever home.  Despite everything, Casey is always happy, He loves to play fetch and is great with dogs and kids. What Casey deserves is a family with a couple of well behaved kids ( he cannot be fed junk or table scraps), a small dog friend, and a fenced in yard on either Long Island or westchester. He needs a family who can afford any possible, future vet bills. I A new dilemma has arised:  We are looking for a very special person to understand.  Adorable Casey had several surgeries that his sponsor paid for. He had a double hernia repair, 20 teeth removed, neuter, and prolapsed rectum corrected ( with muscle taken from his little leg). He has been through hell at only 6 yrs old and 10 lbs. Sometimes hernia repairs don't take and it's already been repaired 2 times. At this point, it's not healthy to put him under anesthesia, yet again. It is not life threatening and all that you need to do it put a glove on and clean out of theB pouch from the hernia repair. He can still go to the bathroom like a normal pup, but some goes in that pouch. It's a small amount and we know not everyone would be willing to do this, but we also know there are loving adopters out there that want to help the ones that need us most  Casey is a love, and this small issue should not prevent him from finding the home he deserves. He has been through so much. He is good w everyone he meets. If he had another dog, great. If not, more attention for him. He'd love kids, but we feel kids old enough to be gentle with this baby boy. He may need surgeries ahead, so someone that can afford giving him what he needs to be healthy and happy!  Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you! ##2631099##
