Good on a leash but does bark when passing other dogs walking. He is extremely sweet, cuddly and loving. Good with children and no presence of aggression with toys or food. Luka's sister is Mika and they are bonded, and will need to be adopted together.

Max is eight years old. I raised him since he was a puppy. I rescued him from an older woman who could not take care of him. He is very intelligent, loves to play and loves his belly rubs. Max does have anxiety issues. He gets very stressed if a stranger comes up to me. I have to inform visitors of this nature. Once he gets familiar with the person, he’s OK. He only barks when someone is at the door or a delivery truck comes by. I have taken him to the vet for regular check ups, allergies, and ear infections. He is up-to-date on all his shots. My health is not what it used to be and Max deserves more than I could give him right now. Max is waiting for a loving home.

Hi! My name’s Worm (short for Wiggle Worm), and I’m a 3 ½-year-old Maltese with a whole lot of personality packed into my little body. I might be small, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve got the energy of the Energizer Bunny and the confidence of a Great Dane. 💪 I don’t walk like other dogs—I bounce! It’s like my feet are made of springs, and I’m always ready for my next adventure. Whether it’s chasing my toys, zooming around the yard, or just keeping you on your toes, I’m a whirlwind of excitement. 🌀 I’m sweet as can be and great with kids (they match my energy!). I’m also okay with dog-savvy cats who can handle my big personality. However, I’m extremely picky when it comes to other dogs. I do not get along with large dogs, so I need a home where I can be the king of the castle or have very carefully chosen small-dog friends. 👑🐾 Now, about my living situation—I need a secure yard with a 5-ft fence (no chain link for me, please—I’m clever and might try to escape!). A GPS collar is also required, just in case my springs launch me into a new adventure. If you’re looking for a bundle of chaos, cuddles, and non-stop entertainment, I’m your guy. shelter notes: 8/2-Ziggy was frightened to walk thu the kennels to the little yard so I carried him.  Once in the yard he immediate pooped & peed, definitely house broken.  He spent much of his time searching for a way to escape but consistently took a break and came to me for some affection.  He was not interested in the dog in the next yard.  He was brave enough to walk all the way back into recovery.  He has a healthy appetite and occasionally would sit for a treat.  those were notes from the pound. Once in foster awaiting transport, Ziggy gave a puncture would to the volunteer holding him when he began to stand up though he slept with his wife the night prior. He also badly punctured the hand of the transporter when attempting to remove him from the crate. He has a bite history and we have not spent enough time with him yet to know the triggers though obviously he likes to do things on his terms. He is fine when left to his own decision making. And because he is cute and one is drawn to him, no children or elders. Experienced dog people only please.
