Maltese puppies and dogs in Torrington, Connecticut

Max is eight years old. I raised him since he was a puppy. I rescued him from an older woman who could not take care of him. He is very intelligent, loves to play and loves his belly rubs. Max does have anxiety issues. He gets very stressed if a stranger comes up to me. I have to inform visitors of this nature. Once he gets familiar with the person, he’s OK. He only barks when someone is at the door or a delivery truck comes by. I have taken him to the vet for regular check ups, allergies, and ear infections. He is up-to-date on all his shots. My health is not what it used to be and Max deserves more than I could give him right now. Max is waiting for a loving home.

Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This darling little girl is DARCY, a bit over 1 years old and 8 pounds.  She has pretty much reached her adult height and weight with maybe 1 pound to gain.  She is mostly Maltese and will need to be groomed every 2-3 months to keep her straight hair from tangling. DARCY is my shadow but she does not get in my way, she just likes to go wherever I go.  DARCY does go outside to play with a couple of Shih Tzu's and have fun.   DARCY can be a bit of a diva and a bossy little girl to the other dogs.  She just tries to keep them in order.  But she plays well with the others and she loves to cuddle.  She is about 75% potty trained.  I do not have a doggy door and let her out to potty with the other dogs and she does just fine.  She is completely crate and house trained.  I have no problem leaving her alone in my home with my personal dogs while I am gone.  She is not destructive or get into personal items. I do not have any cats so I do not know how she would get along with them.  It took DARCY about 2 days to get to know me and show her real personality so some patience is required but then she becomes your shadow and best friend. He is quite independent and does not get in your way. He loves laying on his blankets and doggy bed. I do NOT have any cats so I do not know how he would do in a home with cats. And he is very afraid of bigger dogs and will bark at them out of fear. Other than that he gets along with all of the small breed scruffies in my home. The face and front part of him is straight like a Maltese and his body is curly like a poodle, he has a short curly tail.  He may not be a pure breed but he is a preferred breed. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This little cutie is MILO, 10 pounds and 6 months old Maltipoo.  We do not expect him to exceed 13 pounds as an adult.  His coat is cotton soft and his temperament is just as soft.  A kind hearted and playful little guy who gets along with all of the foster dogs.  I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would behave around them. MILO was found hiding in the bushes by Good Samaritans and turned into ACS, our very high kill shelter.  I immediately stepped forward to rescue him and I am so happy.  MILO is the type that just makes your heart melt. It is the cutest thing to watch him sit on his butt and beg you to come pet him.  He sleeps with me and I barely know he is there because he doesn't move or get in the way.
