Story
Meet Thumper, a SUPER cute male Maltese/yorkie mix puppy! Thumper and his brothers (Roger Rabbit, Fiver, Peter Cottontail, and Bugs Bunny) were born to mama Lola on 4/16/2025. Mom is a 10 lb Maltese mix and we expect these pups/bunnies to stay on the smaller side as well.
Thumper is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! Good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.
**PLEASE NOTE: Thumper and his siblings will be available at our adoption event on 6/22 at Petco in Dayville, CT (they will be 9 weeks old at that time). We are accepting applications on them now! We work hard to match each dog to the best applicant for them, so we will start processing applications closer to the event.**

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
