Story
Meet Olaf, a 2-year-old, handsome Maltese mix boy weighing approximately 13 pounds and just the sweetest little guy on the planet.  Olaf came from a heartbreaking hoarding and neglect case after his owners were arrested, but you would never know it from his gentle, loving personality. This adorable little guy loves giving hugs, snuggling close, and soaking up attention from his people. He’s great with small and medium-sized dogs and enjoys playing, although he likes to act like a tough guy when the bigger dogs are around!Olaf is crate trained and is doing a great job learning his housebreaking skills despite the difficult start he had in life. With a little patience and consistency, he’ll continue to thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily curl up in your lap after a day of fun, then Olaf is ready to do just that.  We want him to have a much happier and normal family in the many many years to come.  He is young, he is ready to look at his past from the rearview mirror and ride off into the sunset with a great family.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask for an adoption form please.     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 11, 2026, 6:39 pm

Nothing seems to slow him down.he is his fosters best friend and follows her everywhere, he loves sitting on her lap and sleeps on her bed at night. He gets along with the other dogs but is not one for playing with them a lot and he seems to ignore the fosters cats..he is house trained and does well on a leash, this sweet boy needs a home where he can get lots of Tlc ,The adoption fee is $400 and includes the transportation.we do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years and must be an experienced dog ownerAll of our dogs are spayed/neutered.. up to date on all shots and boosters, microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives..FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK

Story
Check out this patriotic little guy!   Meet Baxter! If you're searching for a loving new family member, your search ends here. Baxter is a 12-pound, 2-3-year-old Malti Tzu (a Maltese and Shih Tzu mix), and he embodies all the best, sweetest traits of both breeds.  Ater a few days in his foster home, Baxter found his voice.  Yes he has that Maltese trait.  For this reason, Baxter is not suited to apartment life.   Baxter was found as a stray in Nashville after someone suspected he’d been hit by a car and brought him to the emergency vet. Thankfully, there were no broken bones, but he is currently healing from a sore back leg. (He’ll have X-rays taken when he’s neutered on 7/7.) We wish Baxter could tell us what happened and how he ended up on his own—it’s hard to imagine any family not wanting such a sweet boy.   Baxter is both a people-lover and a dog’s dog! He loves to play and would thrive with a young, active canine companion in his forever home. He adores people and always wants to be by your side—be prepared to never be alone again! His sore leg doesn’t slow him down; he still jumps on the furniture to be with his foster mom whenever steps are available.   This young gentleman walks well on a leash and is fully housebroken. He loves going on adventures and rides like a champ in the car—he even prefers the back seat, though he’s happy on a passenger’s lap, too! Baxter is the perfect companion for trips to the park or visits to dog-friendly restaurants and shops.     To learn more about bringing Baxter into your family or to request an adoption application, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311. Don’t wait—this sweet boy won’t be available for long!  July 11, 2026, 6:39 pm

Story
According to her foster, Millie is a spitfire! Fortunately, she is very small so she isn't bouncing off the furniture or chewing up your house. She loves other little dogs and doesn't bother the cats that she lives with. She is very active and playful and loves to drag around toys. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and loves to go outside. She is pee pad trained but seems to prefer to potty outside. She walks on a leash for a time, but then looks at you with her sad eyes (what an act) so that you will pick her up. She does have a hind leg that she sometimes limps on and sometimes uses. She can go up and down stairs but sometimes needs help coming back up. She will go anywhere with you. She will alert you with a few barks when there is a disturbance in her universe. What a fun little dog! She is estimated to be between 5-7 years old and recently had a full dentalFOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Thimble may look like a tiny, shy little puppy in her pictures, but don't let the camera fool you. The moment the camera comes out, Thimble suddenly becomes bashful. Put the camera away, though, and she turns right back into the happy, spunky little puppy she really is. At around 3 months old and weighing only about 3 pounds, Thimble spends her days bouncing from dog to cat to dog, playing with everyone she meets. She gets the cutest little zoomies and approaches life with the joyful confidence that only puppies seem to have. She is a sweet little Maltese mix who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Her tiny size makes her extra adorable, but she has enough personality packed into those 3 pounds to keep everyone smiling. Because of her young age and tiny size, Thimble has not yet been spayed. Her adopter will need to provide proof of spay in 2027 once she is old enough and large enough for the procedure. Good fit: someone looking for a tiny, playful puppy who will bring lots of fun, affection, and laughter into their home. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Due to her age and size, she has not yet been spayed. Adopter must provide proof of spay in 2027. Adoption fee: $550 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, Think you might be a good fit? Story
Meet Pookie, an older adult (approx. 10 years old) male Maltese weighing about 8 lbs!  Pookie is too old to neuter and doesn't have many teeth but he is the sweetest boy! Pookie arrived in CT on 6/13. We are accepting applications for him now! He is a very sweet boy and great with everyone and other dogs! His foster said, "Pookie is the perfect gentlemen lap dog!" Pookie is medically up to date, and is working on house and crate training. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2752501##
