Story
Meet Waffle, a two-year-old, 17-pound Maltipoo mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and some wonderfully quirky ways of showing it! This fluffy little guy is happiest when he has toys to play with, a yard to zoom around in, and furry friends by his side. But he is searching for a very specific kind of family! So keep reading to learn all the special quirks of Waffle! Watch Waffle's video to fast track getting to know him, then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/7ozqhizvRgQ Waffle LOVES toys and is especially obsessed with fetch. Give him a ball and some room to run, and you'll see just how fast and athletic this little guy can be! He loves chasing toys, running around the yard, digging, sniffing, and playing. He's not a couch potato — Waffle wants to have FUN! And Waffle is a total social butterfly when it comes to his furry friends. **He is DOG FRIENDLY and CAT FRIENDLY!** In fact, having another dog in his forever home is extremely important for Waffle. He is much happier and more confident with a canine buddy around, especially one close to his size and with a similar playful style. He loves having someone to romp around with and looks to his dog friends for confidence. Waffle also genuinely loves cats and has successfully lived with them. Dog-savvy cats who enjoy having a playful dog around could be a wonderful match for him. If you're looking for a little dog who can have both canine and feline siblings, Waffle is your guy! With his people, Waffle is an absolute sweetheart once he knows you. He loves attention, cuddles, following his favorite person around, and being included in the fun. He can be vocal and reactive when he's unsure, particularly around unfamiliar people and dogs on leash, so his family will need to understand his quirks and help him navigate situations that feel overwhelming. Because of this, Waffle needs an **experienced, patient owner** who isn't looking for a perfectly polished dog and will happily accept him for all his little Waffle-isms. He needs someone who will give him structure, clear boundaries, continued leash training, and plenty of time to settle into his new world. Waffle would do best with **older, respectful kids around 10+** and a relatively calm home without lots of unfamiliar visitors coming and going. He needs a securely fenced physical yard and is **not suited for an apartment or condo** because of his vocal nature and need for outdoor space. Waffle may have a few quirks, but that's part of what makes him Waffle! He's playful, affectionate, incredibly entertaining, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and full of potential. Give this little guy his toys, his fetch ball, his dog buddy, a secure yard, and a person who understands him — and Waffle will give you his whole heart right back. For any serious adopters we would love to chat with you to see if Waffle may be your perfect match!
