This sweet girl came to us as an owner surrender alongside her friend, Cosmo, after they were found in heartbreaking condition. While we initially feared they were battling parvovirus, Twinkle's condition was actually the result of severe hypoglycemia caused by poor nutrition and a lack of appetite. With proper care, good food, and lots of love, she has made an amazing recovery and has completely bounced back. Twinkle has not gotten bigger in size since she has been here. We are assuming she is some mix breed between a toy poodle and maltese. Meaning, she is going to stay very small. Because of this, we will ensure she goes to a home where she will be very well cared for, and not around larger breeds, small kids who could accidentally hurt her, or left outside unattended. Her coat will also need to be well brushed and groomed, due to her breed. She has already had one grooming session since arriving at rescue, due to being matted. Twinkle is such a doll. She is incredibly sweet, loves people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has all the playful curiosity you'd expect from a happy puppy. As with any puppy, Twinkle will need continued training, patience, and consistency as she learns good manners and grows into a well-rounded companion. Twinkle's adoption fee is $750. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
