Meet the newest gem in your life, Pearl! Pearl is a 4 year old, 16-lb Maltese who loves snuggling, naps, and being close to her people. Her superpowers include switching from being a playful, goofy girl to the cuddliest couch potato in about 2 seconds. She loves other dogs and thrives having another furry friend to snuggle and play with. She does great walking on a leash and has also learned to be good in her crate (although you still have to put her in there, she won’t walk in on her own). While she knows to go potty outside she will still come in and mark. I am optimistic her upcoming spay will help with this! Some of her favorite things are and meal time, bone to chew on, or stuffy toy (she especially loves the ones that crinkle). If you're looking for the biggest lover girl who will spin in circles with excitement when you come home, make the cutest little snorting noises, and cuddle with you all day long, she might be your perfect match. I was hit by a car and a kind Good Samaritan saw what happened and rushed me to the ER. They took radiographs (nothing broken), got me started on pain medication, and then tried to find my family through my microchip. Unfortunately, the person contacted denied being my owner and said they didn’t want me anymore. So… just like that, I was discarded. I may not understand why someone could stop wanting me, but I’m trying not to let it change the kind of boy I am. I’m the sweetest little guy, and even though I’m still a little unsure of where I am and everything I’ve been through, I have this gentle soul that just wants to trust again. I’m really the sweetest boy. My tail will not stop wagging when I see you, and I love to be pet and cuddle up in your lap. I’m a Maltese mix, which means I’m considered hypoallergenic, but my beautiful coat does need regular brushing and professional grooming to keep me comfortable and looking my best. I get along great with other dogs, of all sizes. I walk well on leash, and feel like I would do well around kids, considering my gentle demeanor. Because of me being hit by a car, my hip and back legs are getting stronger each day, but still may need some time to fully recover, until I can start jumping off couches and such. I’m neutered, 4DX negative, current on my vaccines, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. My adoption fee is $400. I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or locations along the East Coast. Meet Sammy Jo! He hasn’t had the easiest path in life, but you’d never know it by the gentle way he’s beginning to trust again. This sweet boy is slowly stepping out of his shell and showing us the loving heart that’s been there all along. He is a white 10 year old Maltese who is incredibly sweet and enjoys being petted and loved on by his people. He’s starting to show his playful side by recently wagging his tail and initiating play with one of the smaller dogs in his foster home. He is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house or his crate. His crate is his safe haven, a place he willingly goes to relax and feel secure. He also does well with children and enjoys calm, gentle interaction. Sammy Jo does have food aggression and will need structured feeding with clear, consistent boundaries. He must be fed separately, and his space around food needs to be respected. With routine and predictability, he does well. He also has a collapsing trachea and requires medication twice daily. His future family will need to stay committed to keeping him on his medication schedule to ensure he stays comfortable and healthy. Sammy Jo values his personal space, especially around other dogs. If dogs are constantly in his face or if food is involved, he can become overwhelmed. However, he is making steady progress and is slowly building tolerance with proper introductions. Sammy Jo will thrive in a home that believes in structure, patience, and consistency. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and that giving him appropriate space is a form of love. Born around March 11, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 10.8 pounds, making him the perfect size for lap snuggles and companionship. Moe came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so the big world can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of this, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him calmly and give him a few gentle pets, you can almost see the moment he relaxes—then he quickly becomes your loyal little friend. He gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He will need to go to a home with another companion dog to help him feel comfortable and confident.
