Born around January 2023, this white Maltipoo mix traded his "ruff" life at the pound for a life of luxury, and frankly, he’s not looking back. Billie’s current hobbies include being aggressively sweet, making friends with every dog he meets, and basking in the spotlight like the tiny celebrity he clearly is. He’s currently working on his PhD in "Going Potty Outside" and is showing some seriously promising progress. If you’re looking for a low-shedding sidekick who thinks he’s the main character of your life, Billie is your guy. You can submit your application to be his personal assistant (officially known as an "adopter") at  A Doggie 4 You . His adoption fee is $400—a small price to pay for a lifetime of fluff and unconditional love. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. This little lady is looking for her special someone and a lap to curl up on.  Hattie is a maltese/poodle mix, approximately 10 yrs. old, and almost a whole 5lbs!  She was born with congenital small eye in her right eye and has a cataract in her left eye but seems to have most of her vision and gets around great.  Hattie does have a small heart murmur and is scheduled for a dental but otherwise in great health.  She is up to date on shots and Heartworm/flea medications.   Hattie needs a more calm and quiet home with a mostly stay at home person who wants lots of snuggles.  She will tolerate other dogs (cats unknown) as long as they give her space and not bother her. Hattie is potty trained but does like to explore so a fenced in yard or someone who is willing to go outdoors with her is required.  She is either following her foster mom around or snuggled next to or on  her lap.  She sleeps well in a kennel and will tolerate being in one but she will let you know she isn't happy about it for a few minutes before settling down.  Hattie is the sweetest little snuggle bug who just wants someone to cuddle with and give lots of love to.  Does Miss Hattie sound like the perfect best friend for you?  If so, please feel out an application and make arrangements to meet Hatttie in person.Adoption fee to help defray vet costs:  $100. Lacey is a 4-5yr old maltipoo who is paralyzed and incontinent. She gets around great and is amazing for her diaper changes. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and for the most part keeps to herself. She doesn’t mind the other dogs in the home and does well with older children. Story
Meet Sammy Jo! He hasn’t had the easiest path in life, but you’d never know it by the gentle way he’s beginning to trust again. This sweet boy is slowly stepping out of his shell and showing us the loving heart that’s been there all along. He is a white 10 year old Maltese who is incredibly sweet and enjoys being petted and loved on by his people. He’s starting to show his playful side by recently wagging his tail and initiating play with one of the smaller dogs in his foster home. He is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house or his crate. His crate is his safe haven, a place he willingly goes to relax and feel secure. He also does well with children and enjoys calm, gentle interaction. Sammy Jo does have food aggression and will need structured feeding with clear, consistent boundaries. He must be fed separately, and his space around food needs to be respected. With routine and predictability, he does well. He also has a collapsing trachea and requires medication twice daily. His future family will need to stay committed to keeping him on his medication schedule to ensure he stays comfortable and healthy. Sammy Jo values his personal space, especially around other dogs. If dogs are constantly in his face or if food is involved, he can become overwhelmed. However, he is making steady progress and is slowly building tolerance with proper introductions. Sammy Jo will thrive in a home that believes in structure, patience, and consistency. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and that giving him appropriate space is a form of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who is learning every day that the world can be safe again. The quiet cuddles, the tail wags, the small victories.
