You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Hattie! This little lady is looking for her special someone and a lap to curl up on.  Hattie is a maltese/poodle/chichuachua mix, approximately 10 yrs. old, and almost a whole 5lbs!  She was born with congenital small eye in her right eye and has a cataract in her left eye but seems to have most of her vision and gets around great.  Hattie does have a small heart murmur and is scheduled for a dental but otherwise in great health.  She is up to date on shots and Heartworm/flea medications.   Hattie needs a calm and quiet home with a mostly stay at home person who wants lots of snuggles.  She will gets along with other dogs (and her foster's cat) as long as they give her space and not bother her.   Hattie is potty trained but does like to explore so a fenced in yard or someone who is willing to go outdoors with her is required.  She is either following her foster parents around or snuggled next to them.  She sleeps well in a kennel and will tolerate being in one but she will let you know she isn't happy about it for a few minutes before settling down.  Hattie is the sweetest little snuggle bug who just wants someone to cuddle with and give lots of love to.  Does Miss Hattie sound like the perfect best friend for you?  If so, please feel out an application and make arrangements to meet Hatttie in person.Adoption fee to help defray vet costs:  $100. Lacey is a 4-5yr old maltipoo who is paralyzed and incontinent. She gets around great and is amazing for her diaper changes. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and for the most part keeps to herself. She doesn’t mind the other dogs in the home and does well with older children. Story
Ambrosia Just like the divine "food of the gods" she's named after, she embodies pure sweetness and fluffiness. Ambrosia joyfully dances for treats, leaps into your lap for snuggles, and according to her groomer, she's the most exceptional pup when it comes to grooming. The groomer believes she's a Maltese mix, and at an estimated 1-2 years old and about 15 pounds. She is good with new people and gets along well with other dogs.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Story
Meet Sammy Jo! He hasn’t had the easiest path in life, but you’d never know it by the gentle way he’s beginning to trust again. This sweet boy is slowly stepping out of his shell and showing us the loving heart that’s been there all along. He is a white 10 year old Maltese who is incredibly sweet and enjoys being petted and loved on by his people. He’s starting to show his playful side by recently wagging his tail and initiating play with one of the smaller dogs in his foster home. He is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house or his crate. His crate is his safe haven, a place he willingly goes to relax and feel secure. He also does well with children and enjoys calm, gentle interaction. Sammy Jo does have food aggression and will need structured feeding with clear, consistent boundaries. He must be fed separately, and his space around food needs to be respected. With routine and predictability, he does well. He also has a collapsing trachea and requires medication twice daily. His future family will need to stay committed to keeping him on his medication schedule to ensure he stays comfortable and healthy. Sammy Jo values his personal space, especially around other dogs. If dogs are constantly in his face or if food is involved, he can become overwhelmed. However, he is making steady progress and is slowly building tolerance with proper introductions. Sammy Jo will thrive in a home that believes in structure, patience, and consistency. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and that giving him appropriate space is a form of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who is learning every day that the world can be safe again. The quiet cuddles, the tail wags, the small victories.
